I haven't watched yet. She probably was uncomfortable in that outfit considering she changed right out of it into a (much better imo!) outfit immediately afterwards for the Q and A at Alexandra Palace.
-
God Control, Killers Who Are Partying, Medellin, I Don't Search I Find, Come Alive.
-
The only ones that haven’t hit me yet are Extreme Occident and Crazy. Crazy is making it there though.
I can’t decide on my favourites yet. Really good album, full of good songs.

^omg they stole me post
I’ve got a feeling she’ll do more stuff like this in the future. She seemed to really enjoy it, and there’s already another competition for a soundcheck at London Palladium. Think I saw there’s a New York equivalent to this London q and a as well.

I love this. It makes me swoon. It’s just uplifting. It’s one of my favourites so far and I’m a bit surprised it’s not getting as much attention as some songs! still going to have a lot more listens before I properly review the album though.

Trying to summarise things I can remember. I’m tired so won’t remember everything
the vast majority of what she talked about was from audience questions. She was in a great mood, thoughtful and playful and very funny
She said she asked a theatre in Italy to bring the Madame X tour there but they said they only allow Classical music there and they said no to her.
She had an audience member come up on stage and taught him how to do the butterfly dance from the Medellin video/performance.
She wouldn’t give anything away about the tour really, except that she wouldn’t be performing Give It 2 Me.
She did say though that it wouldn’t be ‘madonna unplugged’ and that it would be very ‘plugged’. She said there’d be singing and dancing and talking with the audience like last night.
She signed some peoples’ tattoos.
She talked a lot about what she found inspiring in Lisbon. She said she found it beautiful but that she did feel lonely there which was something which she found drove her musically.
Someone asked for a hug and she said ‘I don’t own any hogs so no’
she said that if she became president she’d ban guns for the first thing she would do.
She said that the most important thing she’s taught her children is that they should treat all human beings with dignity and respect.
She sang a few lines of Miles Away when there was a question from an audience member far back.
She said that the thing we should take away from the album was that we should ‘wake up’. Graham asked what we do when we do wake up ... I can’t remember what she said next acrually lol.
She seemed genuinely happy to be engaging with audience members which was so great.

Anyone got chosen for a question? I’m assuming they’d email

That's my hope, but at least I'm pretty much happy with the album songs.
And OMG, you're so cute, please post more
I'd rather have a good album that misses the top than an average one that gets it. (I haven't heard it yet) At least Graham Norton show on Friday and maybe the Evening with Madonna will be televised at some point.
It will obviously be disappointing but she does have some stiff competition. And anyway will Bastille's album be remembered in 50 years, like Madonna's will as part of her illustrious legacy? Doubt it.
And thanks hehe

My Amazon deluxe edition of Madame X is going to be delivered "by 11pm".
I know I could just listen to the album on Spotify but I want it in my hands goddamn.
-
I hope it’s televised at some point and that she performs- ‘An Audience with Madonna’ would be great promo. But I’m not sure what will happen with it tbh!
I submitted a question. I’ll die if I get to ask it, I hope I can get it out without falling over my words and embarrassing myself

It says 'The ticket ballot will open at 10am Wednesday 12th June via the
'GET TICKETS' button below.
When the ballot opens, you will have 2 hours to redeem your pair of free tickets
before the next wave of successful fans are contacted! 'So there'll be more waves, if you don't get an email tonight then check around 12pm tomorrow I think.

I got an email.

I haven’t got one either

Mmm bit of a strange review. I haven’t heard it yet so I can’t talk too much, but I never like the ‘hmm gosh it’s hard to know what to make of it’ takes. I want more identifiable analysis pls, no fence sitting

This topic nearly gave me a heart attack as I thought it must mean you got an email already
fingers crossed and good luck everyone

Yep—I listened to the leaks from HC, MDNA, and RH, and it made the release day experience anticlimactic. Not doing it again. Hearing an album for the first time from the physical CD somehow makes it more “real” to me.
Me too me too.
I listened to IDSIF the other night and realised I didn’t want to listen to leaks again, even if I really liked the song. The album will be delivered to my door on Friday and I’ll listen to it properly then.
I wanna look at the physical copy, booklet, artwork, the whole shebang.

I’m going to wait til Friday (unless I get into that Graham Norton special thing), but seeing the positive reactions makes me so happy.

Any other promo in the UK on release week besides Graham bagel?
I don’t think there’s been any announced. Hopefully she’ll be back around to promote the third single (god control?) at least if she doesn’t do anything more on release week.

I have listened to the snippets and my gosh they sound great.
Astonishingly considering the publication (and what you can see even from those snippets), I think my favourite line from any review of the album comes from the Daily Mail headline 'Madame X by Madonna hits you instantly with its vitality'. It is as if the fullness of the tracks and the scope of them is what has convinced reviewers, who were so ready to trash her (at least some of them), to give it a good mark. I am v excited.

Hopefully the Graham Norton stuff will help. Although to be honest I doubt I will care where it ends up once it’s out. Her lack of success in the UK nowadays is sad to see but what can we expect when radio stations (apart from radio 2 which have been pretty good I suppose) don’t touch her? Eurovision also did a number on her general reputation but that’s been discussed to death too, so.
Good reviews on Amazon - Let's boost them!

Left one for the regular and deluxe. Deluxe has a good review average, standard not so much (probably to do with slow processing of reviews though).
