Nah, I honestly don’t know. It was an assumption on my part. I doubt it at this point. I bet she just filmed a few extra videos that we are yet to see and some footage for the tour.

Guys, remember 2015? From beginning to end, the absolute worst possible things happening. The whole album leaked, Living For Love was her first real bomb, she literally got yanked off stage by her neck at the Brits, she got publicly humiliated by the useless Drake, she released Bitch I'm Madonna (ok, maybe that is just a personal gripe), she performed with the dreadful Taylor Swift, and then she capped the year off by having a VERY PRIVATE family issue used against her in the press.
We survived that, we can survive ONE polarizing perf (imagine if this was like Wetten Daas or something, we'd all think it was terrific
)! Cmon guys, get it together!! More videos are coming, she's gonna bring the house down at NY pride, the album is probably gonna knock our sox off, and she's gonna go on a really unique tour doing things she's never done.
I hate seeing some of you guys so crestfallen. Just take a time out from the internet. I do it all the time. I feel much better when I do. AND MY GOD, PLEASE never read the comments!!! Comments are a cesspool for everyone. Look at the way ppl treat Katy Perry, or Hillary Clinton. There are other women who get dragged similarly. It's natural to focus on negativity, it's just human nature. Sometimes you just gotta get rid of the triggers.
Agreed! I’m so here for ignoring the BS. I defended M for too long since I was little like a soldier defending their Queen. Fuck everyone. People that get it are not gonna HATE her for messing up some vocals.
The album/tour are gonna be fantastic!

I just watched it again and I love it!!!!
She lost herself “I hear you call my name...” and the rest was typical M vocal for LAP!
Anyway, I’m wondering if this is any indication of the tour. Maybe she will be able to have a stage set where the projections are on stairs and that’s how she will enter...
i never in a million years thought we’d get a similar intro to MDNA but I’m here for it. I bet she’d want it for a theatre setting with the monks singing.
Also, I’m more convinced that Dark Ballet starts the way she sang it here and THEN goes into the beautiful game parts we know!

I thought they cut to the light design to avoid showing that shot of the church upside down

We don’t know. I’m hoping for dark ballet between both songs but I’m beginning to lean towards it JUST being the two songs. Although, I feel like the press reporting two songs may not know dark ballet is a different song if after LAP it leads into DB and then Future...maybe the people reporting think DB is the intro to Future. Idk we’ll see

True. It’s def her decision to not do it the way it was recorded and of have an “updated” version. I bet if she wanted to do the original, her team/band would be thrilled to take a stab at doing it as it was done when it was released. They are musicians taking direction from their boss.

Is it just me or are all these songs slowly creating the Madame X album universe...it’s slowly becoming more clear. All these different sonic genres meshed with a solid production and her knack for melodies, to fuse together a “futuristic world” record...
i think this is the best use of a new vocal technique+vocoder. It was hard to digest but the more you listen, the more ambitious and experimental it feels.

Just saw it and those are my thoughts exactly! It not even that serious. The most obvious bit was the opening mess up cause it was in the very beginning and still, she carried through fine.
