The debate is on tv right now. She speaks so loudly she gave me a headache. She does not have a program, still has not given one valid point or answer. She's tiring and terribly bad.

People are stupid. I'm so fed up with hearing the same bullshit every day. They probably don't care to wake up in a dictatorship because they are not directly concerned by her racist project but soon enough they'll be on her list for one reason or another. It's sad to see a country that was devastated by nazis being incapable to connect to its History...or maybe they connect to collaborators.
I remember reading a long time ago when Ted Turner was asked why he created CNN, he said "so we will never be able to say we didn't know again" ( a direct nod to WWII). We don't have the excuse of not knowing.
What's the deal with people around the world ? They can't stand being "invaded" by the people from coutries THEY invaded first to build their empire and richessness ? They vote Le Pen because they can't stand the black kids next door making too much noise ? Because they can't deal with women wearing a veil ? They are willing to say goodbye to everything they have to get rid of them ? I thought France stood for Republic, Democracy, Human Rights, that's the bulshit i've been taught in school all these years. Liberté, Egalité, Fraternité. That's our identity, not Le Pen's politics. It goes against everything that people identify our country with.
Have been having nightmares with that cunt for two nights in a row and i'm scared my terrible nights will transform into terrible days.

His campaign this last week was awful. He's too sure of himself. She avoids economic questions because she can't answer them, she's even backtracking about the euro when it was a major part of her program.
It's so stressful.

They don't really publish surveys, only surveys regarding whom the voters for the candidates from the 1st round will vote for. The big fear is participation, a lot of people are saying they are not going to vote because they don't want to chose between 2 evils...Macron is still projected to win but his margin is getting slimmer by the day

Last year we had the same people turning the march against Macron and his work law into achaotic mess. One even beat a cop and got arrested, turned out he was a 25 y/ american student.

Rumour has it that he wants human Pink Flamingo Christine Lagarde for his prime minister. We're not amused.
Total chaos here on may day, i had to run away from the march against the National Front because radical leftists started a riot.

If the Daily Mail had REAL journalists they could have easily won that case. Knowing the agency she was working for in the 90's and especially the big boss (father of the son of my sister's best friend)...

People like Macron produce the social and economical chaos that gives power to people like Le Pen.
French people are VERY tired by this election (and we vote again in june). The future is really uncertain....At least we will be able to protest and march against Macron, i doubt we will be able to do so against Le Pen. People surrounding Le Pen are also bankers (there's even a weapon trader with Qatar)....She's not very different from him in that regard but she hides it while he's unapologetic about it (even arrogant).
I expected this chaos since 2008 when the economic crisis exploded because it's just History repeating itself...at least this time european countries are not at war with each other/
People are more aware today of this dichotomy, how very very very few are getting richer while the vast majority are getting poorer. Since it's an international thing, how long before people will say enough ?

Maybe it's time to end the 5th Republic with a president and give power to Parliament via a 6th Republic. We can't live with this threat over our heads whenever there's an election.
I truly trust people to make the right choice in the end and that they are just using social media to vent their frustration. We can't afford to have Le Pain for president, the country is already suffering a lot and so much divided between the economic crisis and terrorist attacks which she won't solve but make worst. Targeting non white french people and treating them even more as second zone citizens will only produce more terrorists.
She's completly mad. I don't now if you can see this video outside of France but look at her calling dolphins this morning (the old fart with her is a local deputy from her party). WHAT THE FUCK ?
And on top of that it's cold in Paris, like suddenly you are blasted by an icy wind so i caught a cold.

It's been a very chaotic few days since sunday and it's not over yet.
People don't want Le Pen but don't want Macron either. I spent the last 3 days trying to convince them, i can't believe i have to but i understand. We are in the same configuration as Trump/Clinton....People see Macron as a banker, a capitalist, someone who will create even more poverty and make the rich even richer and the poor even poorer. A year ago there were strikes all over France against him and his work law so it's very hard for the people who marched and protested against him just a year ago to vote for him now, they completly flip out even though they are aware of the bigger danger Le Pen is. On top of that Macron is doing a very bad campaign since sunday while Le Pen is doing what she does best, manipulating the masses.
On her new poster for the second round she's posing sitting on a table exposing a thigh to "provoke islamists" according to her staff....on the other hand they did not say why she's photoshoped so much...
A few hours ago a famous french journalist (black) was suspended from her channel because she signed a petition against Le Pen. A taste of things to come ?

The result is as expected. hat bothers me really is people acting as if Macron has already won and people from the left saying they won't vote for him. People are very upset. A longer post later but i leave you with this, it's not made up, every candidate went on snapchat and chose a filter themselves. Just to show you how weird and fucked up this campaign has been (and it's not over yet)

@Roland Barthes Thanks for your analysis and will be interested to read your thoughts tomorrow. I hope the French people pick the correct candidate and party. This election is so important and hoping it will buck recent world wide trends and thinking.
I won't be able to come back here until monday (elections is work for me^^) but i'll keep you posted as soon as i can
France has suffered a lot with terrorist and people are afraid, it is one of basic emotions of the human nature so this is more relevant than other issues for the moment and i can understand that.
And yet it was barely approached during the debates...Can you believe it ? Charlie, Bataclan, Nice never mentionned.

I'm supposed to be sleeping but i had to pop a Xanax to tell you the truth.
We are very tired, the campaign was exhausting and no one can tell who's gonna be in the final round between Le Pen (we decided to never use her first name anymore to show she's just like her father and that this is a family business) Macron ( he scares me too because we still don't exactly know what he's going to do and if he does what he did when he was president Hollande minister of economy it could lead to a big crisis and make poor peole even poorer) Mélenchon ( i never liked the guy, he's so smug, some of the things he wants to do are just plain crazy internationally, only nationally his program is good) and Fillon (I hate his guts).
Hamon is the nicest of all the candidates ( i interviewed him 10 years ago and we talked about The Cure...the band not "that thing" latest turd) but no one wants the Socialist Party anymore especially all the old farts in it who in a few years transformed it into a social democrat party. They lost all the workers for that.
Like i said we are very tired but not until late june this will be over because we have parliament elections in june too, so we are going to vote again meaning another campaign will start as soon as this one will end.
Macron is projected to win in the end but since Trump & Brexit we can't trust polls and predictions anymore.
Whoever is gonna win he or she ( GOD FORBID) won't unify the country, we are too divided....IF the USA are divided imagine how we french must be with our usual attitude we are infamous for....
As if things weren't stressfull enough we are at the highest level of terrorist attack watch. We already know Le Pen is Isis & co favourite candidate because they want a war, they want french muslims to feel persecuted so Isis can start a religious war within the european soil. We know Macron will sell what is left of the country to the european parliament and private interests, we know Melechon will chose Putin as an ally and put an end to the french-american alliance and we kno fillon will steal as much money as he can in 5 years.
At this point i have no idea whom i'm gonna vote for tomorrow. It's a first for me. And i work DAILY with these people (maybe that's why i can"t see any of them being the president).
Off to bed now. I'll do my best to vote for the least dangerous one.

Five years ago Didier Lestrade (he's in Cannes this year to present a documentary about act Up) a friend of mine who is a french gay icon (he made french Act Up and Tetu the first french gay magazine) wrote a book about gays going right and far wing, he sent me a dedicated pre copy to review but as soon as every other journalist got their copies they went after him, telling him he was crazy to say that, in the wrong, it was vicious.
He even got sued by a journalist he talked about in his book because he said he was a right winger in disguise.
Five years later it turns out he's right. That journalist who sued him was even outed two days ago as the ghost writer of fillon 's speeches (fillon is the candidate of Sens Commun and La Manif Pour Tous, the groups behind the anti gays rallies and marches during the gay marriage vote).
Marine Le Pen first immédiate collaborators are mostly gay men especialy Philippot, the mastermind behind her campaign of cleaned up her image.
Nonetheless in her program she wants to overturn the gay marriage bill.
Her party is playing the "muslims are against gays" card.
But it would be silly to think that gay men and women are angles just because they are gay, being gay does not help from being an asshole.
It's the same gays who infiltrated the Madonna private concert at the Olympia to disrupt it in 2012.
She panders to them by singing Dalida songs on social media.
I just truly hope she and fillon won't be selected for the final round.
They are thieves.
She took a big slump after the last debate when the far left candidate Poutou told her on live TV that she was sayng she is against the system when she uses it to avoid going to the police convocation after the revelation she was stealing money from the european parliament. She did not go to the convocation using her ammunity as an european parliament deputy about which Poutou said "You are against Europe except when it's to steal money from it" and finally told her that workers (like him) don't have ammunity, when they are convocated by the police they must go". She was speechless and it hurt her in the workers votes since she appeared as not being one of them.

What do you think about Melanchon? Does he have any chance?
I have close friends working with him whom i trust, i sometimes wonder what they find in him. One even ran under his flag for a local parisian election (he lost). I don't like him as a person, he polished his image for the campaign but it won't last. As for his program, it may sound ok regarding national policy but for international policy it's a catastrophe.

We're just a week away and i still don't know whom i will vote for but i nonetheless now whom i WON'T vote for. To sum it up they ALL are crap and ALL have dangerous things in their programs regarding different subjects. I'm reduced to chose what i'm willing to sacrifice.

Migration will be a bigger challenge in the future with climate migrants from Asia. We europeans fucked up all these regions with colonization and took what they had (oil, gas...) for centuries. What should be done now to avoid huge waves of migrations Europe can't accomodate is to help these countries (democraticnes) to build their own economy. There should be a law forcing huge foreign companies like Total or a billionnaire like Bollore (i give french examples) making all their money in Africa to pay huge taxes their, to create REAL jobs and hire locals. We should also stop from telling muslims countries what to do and forcing democracy on them if they did not ask for it. In France we don't only have migrants from Africa and North Africa but also from balkans and Pakistan (a lot from Sri Lanka too). They should know that there is nothing waiting for them in Europe anymore and they probably won't be living better lives than the ones they had in their native countries.
At the moment there is a gang of 25 kids under 12 from Morocco living in the streets of Montmartre terrorizing the neighborhood and tourists, out of control because they sniff glue all day. They came from Spain. There should be a better control and prosecution against traffickers making money on the back of these migrants. There's also a huge demographic crisis in Africa with its population exploding because births are not controlled (THANKS to people like the pope telling them not to use condoms...not only they are facing terrible STDs, AIDS but also unwanted pregnancies). We should help them to live better lives home (because they don't come here for their own pleasure, it's terrible to leave your country to encounter extreme poverty in a climate you are not accustomed to and people hating you) they'd rather stay home if they could make a living there. Thing is they can't make a living here either. What is never talked about is how many migrants go back when they see that their european dream is in fact a nightmare.
We live in a world where money is not shared equally, the rich are super mega rich and getting richer while destroying the middle class and people are getting poorer and poorer. That's the real problem. the world economy only benefits very few and fucks up a lot of people.

There's this big debate on tv tonight, they did not even invite ALL candidates (11) only the 5 ones from the main parties. I'm not even watching because i'm so over it. Months of hearing the same things over and over. It's not like i'm gonna vote with my heart anyway, i know i'll vote to stop Le Pen from winning (and believe me Fillon is not better, in fact since the scandals around him exploded he looks more and more like those american right wingers like Ted Cruz).
And then we'll have the Assembly vote in june so if the one who will win the presidential election does not get a majority at the Assembly it's gonna be very tough for him or her.

I feel better since the debate. She was so bad like really really bad, she blew up everything she work for over the last 5 years. It looked as if she did it on purpose.
