  1. Been into my local Asda today, and their number one album was 'Celebration the video colection',! Thay did not have a single copy of the 'actual' album, just the video's in a cd shaped box, all the promotion said was only vids, but do you think they have got confused and though the video collection was the actual album?

I just couldn't beleive they had no copies of the album, they must think the video colection was the album because it was in a cd box! How is C gonna to be number 1 in albums if you can't buy it in the shops!

  2. ^ me 2 lol. wasjust thinkin the same thing the other day. Just watch Mika or (is it Dizzy Rascal?), beat her - just watch! I dreading another #2 debut or peak GHV2 style :( . Is there any pre order buzz for her?

Celeb album seems to be doin bad on i-tunes, i'm sure HC was alot higher on the sunday before its release.

  3. Singles- Friday update C will prob fall to at least 4 by sunday, as is starting to fall on i-tunes.

  4. Posted on Buzzjack today, top selling singles artist 1958-2009

The biggest selling singles act of all time in the UK is Cliff Richard, who has sold 21,328,000 singles since 1958 debut. Elvis Presley follows close of 20,918,000 and the Beatles sit in third place 20,821,000 but both Presley and Richard enjoyed considerable sales prior to September 1959, and the biggest selling singles act of the last 50 years is The Beatles, whose sales all fall within the period.

Richard has sold 20,183,000 singles since 1959, while Presley's tally of 15,824,000 puts him fourth in the table of the top acts in the last 50 years Madonna, who has sold 16,793,000 singles. The rest of the top 10 is as follows

    5 Elton John 14,099,000

    6 Michael Jackson 13,808,000

    7 Queen 11,493,000

    8 ABBA 10,812,000

    9 Paul McCartney 10,034,000

    10 David Bowie 10,012,000

The Beatles formidable total has hardly changed in the last 5 years, increasing during that period by 21,000, as physical stocks of their singles run out, while they remain unavailable as downloads. In the same period Cliff Richard has sold 375,000 singles, and Elvis Presley has sold a whopping 1,600,298, partly due a successful reissue campaign which saw many of his most popular titles re issued on CD and 10 inch and partly from sales of downloads of his extensive catalogue.

  5. I'm surprized not to have seen any adverts for single or album yet, surly it is time to get people/the public excited about this release? I'm sure I read somewhere HMV were treating it(the album) as the release of the year, but most people prob don't know she is even releasing a greatest hits with less 2 weeks to go.

Hope physical sales will help single a bit, bought mine from hmv.com.

Madonna 'wants to reunite with brother'

Madonna reportedly wants to reconcile with her brother.

The pair's relationship broke down last year after Christopher Ciccone published a book about the star.

However, the singer now wants to patch things up and has started to send Ciccone emails, according to WENN.

A source told the Sunday Mirror: "Madonna did it more for her family than for herself. Her feud with Chris was creating huge tension with the family so she decided to be the bigger person.

"At one point Madonna wanted all the family to cut off Chris, but her father wasn't willing. It's been a nightmare ever since. She's calmed down about the book and had time to think.

"She realises blood is thicker than water and has said she will meet with him this year in LA."

  8. ''Madonna was booed after making an anti-discrimination speech, The Mirror reports.

The singer spoke out against the prejudiced treatment of gypsies during a concert in Eastern Europe.

She said that it made her "sad" and told the crowd that no-one should be discriminated against.

Thousands of fans reportedly began booing her following the comments, but she ignored the jeers.

Church leaders recently boycotted Madonna's show in Bulgaria.''
