I know that these type of comments are meant to be compliments but they always come across wrong in my opinion. It goes without saying that Madonna is relevant. When you voice it like this it just sounds like you're trying to convince people of an unpopular belief or something. Madonna IS relevant, no need to mention it when everyone already knows it!
Eh, us, Madonna fans, sure, we don't need that. But in the real world people do think that Madonna is irrelevant (or at least they hate to admit that she is relevant). I basically feel like a hipster for liking Madonna cause no one around me is a fan. I actually never met a true Madonna fan in person

Well, she could release the 1st single (the Billboard snippet) next week, then, in mid July the 2nd single and in September the album. The album doesn't have to be ready NOW. If I remember correctly, GMAYL and GGW were released before the album as well. If the recording process is over, wouldn't the album be ready by the end of August?

And what Katy said about M was not a dig at her AT ALL. And yes, she did have to bring age into this because age is what makes Madonna's career post 1998 (let's say) even more impressive. Would it have been just as impressive if Madonna had the highest grossing tour of the year at age 32, at the peak of her career and popularity? I personally doubt it. Just because someone mentions Madonna's age doesn't mean it's always as criticism.

The fact that it's very long between the moment Billboard teased us with the snippet and the release of the track must mean the singer takes time to release it or still doesn't give the green light to share more info, and that is very Madonna... Usually with other singers the track would already be all over the net like two days after the preview...
Look when she allowed Timbaland to play a snippet of "4 minutes" at the Jingle Ball it was the 17th December 2007, i remember clearly everyone was excited like we are now because we all thought the track was about to be released or to leak, and in the end nothing happened during 3 months and the hype died a little more each day exactly like it's happening now, finally she released the track the 17th March 2008.
