these are in their original NTSC 480p format, and they look flawless. Upscaling them to regular HD standards (720p or 1080p) would only alter the quality. If you take a look at the LIB file, you can see it is the same version as on Celebration. These files are 1Gb each, yet they managed to smash 22/25 of them on a 4.7Gb disc : no wonder they look like absolute crap on this.
We can only have actual HD videos if they were filmed on 35mm film or on some digital medium, like thse from Rebel Heart.
Is this why, for example, Papa Don't Preach looks great and clear on YouTube but looks like shit when I play the Celebration DVD on my HDTV?

Glad Madonna is on the list BUT, Lady Gaga & Taylor Swift above people like Aimee Mann & Emmylou Harris? WTF. As someone else pointed out, totally unbalanced. Oh well.

I haven't given a shit about the Grammy's since 1989. Not only was 'Like A Prayer' a brilliant album; it was one of the best reviewed of the year. When Madonna was finally given love by them for 'Ray of Light', I still didn't give a shit. Madonna was gracious enough to say that it was "worth the wait". I'm sure she meant it. 2 years earlier, when she failed to get a nomination for Best Actress at the Academy Awards, she still performed "You Must Love Me" for the awards show. Barbra Streisand was also expecting a nomination the same year. When she didn't, she chose not to perform the song from her movie, in protest. Madonna knows awards don't have anything to do with talent.
I'm sure that if Madonna was asked to perform this year at the Grammy's, she would graciously accept. And I love her for that.

I'd love to hear more from her, TBH. Not sure if she needs to do a Christmas album though. That seems pretty last resort or nothing-else-to-do kind of move for a lot of artists. Maybe someday though, something.
Cute song BUT, I hope she never does a Christmas album. Thankfully, I don't think she ever will.

Madonna was a EW darling when the magazine started out (she was on their cover 3 times from spring of 1990-1991) until their 4th cover story on her for the SEX book in 1992. After that, they wrote some really NASTY articles on her and took swipes at her quite often. EW lost all credibility with me when they said she "was completely washed up" (for the zillionth time) in their 5th anniversary issue. When I saw her on the cover in 2001, I thought hell had frozen over, lol.
