OnlyFans doing a Tumblr - banning explicit content

What I don't understand is why it is wrong that people earn money with their sexual activities?

Is this another case of a giant owning that platform now and fearing backlash from morons, like it happened with Tumblr?

Btw, I'm sure Twitter will find a way to profit from this. Twitter Porn EXPLODED after Tumblr went prude and bankrupt.

There's actually people on there like fitness instructors who can charge for their services which is a good idea but can they grow that enough to have a business?

The reason given is that they were not stopping explicit content featuring under eighteen year olds.

I wonder what the value of the company will drop by!

I guess OF doesn't consider nude photos/videos sexually explicit content. 😆

To each their own, though I think OF and sites of that nature are kinda silly. At this stage, why pay for that kinda stuff when there are infinite amounts of material out there for no charge? Maybe some think of it like some do physical media- the good feeling that you're paying for it.  😋 However, it's not like it's physical porn (DVDs, etc.)- it's internet porn, for cryin' out loud.

Only verified accounts with the blue check can upload porn. There's no more amateur sex for example.

I run to Xvideos a long time ago

But how do you get verified? Flash them your dick?

No idea. It happened last December.

The goal was to fight against child pornography, which is a very good goal of course. But child pornography is not precisely shared in those pages! It's in the dark web.

It's simply a war on porn

Bingo! That's why I posted that article up there. It's "banks" that are forcing Only Fans to take down pornography. Conservative old men always ruining everything.

Might be also porn studios not being too happy about performers getting rid of the middle man. I mean, look at Rhyheim Shabazz, his OF videos have good cinematography, multiple (hot) guys and cool concepts, and he's the only one making money off it. Of course boring and outdated studios like Men.com aren't going to sit and watch this.

No it really is the financial institutions but it's because there was child porn being loaded up. IIRC they're not a publicly listed company so it won't affect share price and perhaps they can create a business based around content creators like fitness instructors etc and lose the porn tag. More like Instagram. There are plenty of porn replacements.

Someone probably did them a reality check on the projected user loss when all porn content was removed. :rotfl:
