The abrupt US pullout is just very wrong, it's shameful... It was done so abruptly that even the US military wasn't able to secure their armaments and warfare equipments now in the hands of the Taliban. These are worth billions. What a f*cked up pullout this is.

It’s part of the plan.  They had a deal.

He is a war criminal and should be judged, along Bush and Aznar.

More than 200.000 people died in Iraq. Not to mention the consequences in the shape of ISIS that the war brought.

Disgusting pigs

Terrible mess. And no one is doing anything. IS will be back in force and they are worst than talibans.

It is 2021 and these fundamentalists who reign with terror and have no intention of ever changing their barbaric fanatical beliefs still have so much power. Already in Afghanistan women are having all their freedoms taken away. Suicide bombings. It sickens me.

These days I remember 2003 when M was about to release AL the video (not even the fully uncensored version as it turned out) and I have to say while I still cringe at the album and song itself, the video has unfortunately aged like fine wine (I say unfortunately because of current events). It is more current than ever.
This is such a fucked up world we live in it feels at times …

This is such a disaster on every level. And I'm sorry, I voted for Biden, but he seems like a deer in headlights over all of this. But I can't stomach that Trump is running his mouth as if his hands are clean from all this bloodshed. He put the wheels in motion for this catastrophe.

What VERY little (and I mean VERY LITTLE) trust or hope I had in our government, military, the Pentagon, CIA, FBI is completely gone. This is a humanitarian crisis and botched job as big or bigger than the Iraq war, the response to Covid, and the financial collapse of 2008. So many people should not only lose their jobs, but put on trial and locked away. As they should've been with those prior disasters as well. But our Congress will just give us a dog and pony show, no one will face any consequences, and this will continue to happen time and time again.

We ae such a broken, sad, and lost country. And our decline is accelerating.

I don't usually comment on USA politics because I find them terribly complicated. But I'm always surprised at how similar are democrats and republicans in foreign policy. Obama should be judged as war criminal for what he did in Syria. And Biden is simply continuing in Afghanistan what Trump started.

Foreign policy is the biggest business for the USA. Tons and tons of money is being done through wars and coups and puppet governments. They have destroyed whole countries and condemned generations and generations to poverty in foreign lands. For DECADES.

We forget easily when it's not happening to us but i I read an article the other day about the hundreds of thousands of people in Vietnam and Laos still suffering the horrible consequences of the gas used by USA during the war. What for?

To free them from the horrors of socialism, state-owned petroleum and universal healthcare.

I dont think US should be blamed for how Afganistan is functioning... Obviously the state is such that it could be easily occupied by the Talibans and I wouldn't be surprised if the majority are for the Taliban regime.

There's a very famous quote that you should never invade Afghanistan as you won't win although I can't find the original source.

I don't see how there could be a positive outcome whoever was in charge of withdrawing the US troops although Biden seems particularly unprepared.

I am not sure about that. But in that case, let's welcome with open arms to those opposing the Taliban to the extent of leaving their homes forever. But of course once they get to our lands we treat them like Talibans.

 I hope some foreign army never walks into your country, bombs you and your loved ones over and over again over a span of ~40 years, puts into power some corrupt entity that literally flees with all your country's money and leaves your country so bad that the only viable option is a bunch of thugs that that same country helped create in the first place. Then when when shit is about to hit the fan they just say PEACE OUT innocent civilians we've done more than enough for you.

THEEEEENNNNN when a few of their guys die because of THEIR recklessness and piss poor planning they continue to bomb your country indiscriminately and kill more innocent bystanders

Sadly many people think that Muslim persons are inferior or deserve what happens to them
