Very sad.

The terrorists even circulate the process of shooting video on FB :manson:

I urge everyone not to look for the video.

I agree. Don't be part of society that watches this just 'out of curiosity'. It's truly horrible and unacceptable and is not casual entertainment.

And it may be everywhere but you still have a stop button!

Heavy gun control WORKS.

Guns are made to KILL people. A semi-automatic is a killing machine. No one should be allowed these guns, EVER!!!

They should only be issued to armed forces, and military personnel. THAT'S IT. Then after they've served their duty they should go back to the government.

There are always going to be people with a few screws loose, that get indoctrinated by extreme ideologies. If they get access to these weapons, we simply cannot stop their attacks in time before carnage is inevitable.

GUNS ARE BAD BECAUSE PEOPLE ARE BAD. Terrorist scum exist everywhere.

I think Fraser Anning literally got into the Senate on 19 votes. He's there on some sort of technicality and will hopefully be lanced like the pus-filled boil that he is at the next election.

Yes. He has used his Senate position to make as much noise as possible. A truly vile, racist, sexist, homophobic cretin who is an embarrassement to Australia.

Also, some Australian media such as Murdoch columnists and Sky news ( also Murdoch run ) need to be held accountable. They have supported the likes of Fraser Anning, Pauline Hanson and Margaret Court continually and defended far right wing trolls such as Milo Yiannopoulos.

Yes, that's right! When a brown-skinned terrorist inflicts carnage, we also go after the people who radicalised them, even if they themselves didn't pull the trigger. So which 'leaders' in Australia are radicalising these terrorists? How do we bring them to justice?

There is a diplomatic rift between Australia and Turkey in the aftermath of the mosque attacks in New Zealand that killed 50 people. President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has said the alleged Christchurch shooter, Australian Brenton Tarrant, had threatened Turkey. He likened this to Australia and New Zealand fighting in the Gallipoli campaign more than 100 years ago and has promised retaliation against any Australian threatening his country. Al Jazeera's Rob McBride reports from Sydney.

Ugh, the mediocrity of every single politician in every single country nowadays is abysmal.

Bravo New Zealand. Heaven forbid my country the USA does ANYTHING about its immense  gun violence problems. We have mass shootings on an almost daily basis and we can’t even get minor action taken in this gun obsessed free for all country! :electropop:

^ Wonderful leadership from Jacinda Ardern who has been strong and compassionate.  She has been incredible - firm, caring and reacting quickly.  A fantastic leader.

Just as Australia banned automatic weapons and brought in strict gun laws after the gun massacre at Port Arthur, New Zealand has shown the same resolve.  Saving lives and rejecting any form of gun worship.

Totally agree. She has been amazing. This is true leadership and the world leaders need to learn from her... Who is the youngest leader in the world!
