That's the way it's going, but with all that's happened the past few years I think everyone just wants to be certain.

I ll wait with this assumption. Trump would deff take this to the court. And those are republican majority.

I am a Filipino who lives in Australia and I am quite disappointed that most of my fellow countrymen who are immigrants in the USA voted for Trump!

Their strong reason is the abortion stance. Much like my people liking President Duterte, they seem (not me) to warm up to pompous and brash characters.

Something I don't understand: immigrants (or immigrants descendant) voting for an anti-immigration candidate

edit: in fact, same with black and gay people. How can you vote for someone who is against you ? That's beyond me.

I think after these four years anybody voting for Trump is a racist misogynistic xenophobic homophobic classist. There is no excuse.

Fingers crossed for Biden.

So true. 2020 better finish on a positive note: with Biden elected president.

Really? I think most people are just fucking retarded

I think so too. They have no excuse. Its Biden who wants 15 dollars per hour min wage, not Trump. They are stupid, not poor.

it is crazy that even with the massive media blitz to get young people to vote that Trump is fending of Biden. It has been nonstop on every social media platform, commercial, celebrity  page, email etc for over a month. Everytime i open instagram it asked me if i voted. Without Covid trump would have demolished Biden.

I have a question and some people might be offended: Do you think the majority of Trump voters had voted for the NSDAP? I think the similarities are so obvious. Of course, one cannot ask that question to Trump voters. They will answer, they'd never voted for them because the NSDAP was a socialist party.

I find it funny that team Trump wants to go to court. Does he realize that in almost every state where is losing by a small margin a Republican is in charge of the voting in those states. Also, in all those places there are currently tons of supervisors and lawyers from each side to check if everything is counted properly. CNN had a report and the reporter said they are doing in impeccable job to make sure there is no reason for either party to sue.

That is really my main takeaway from these elections too. Even if Biden (now likely) wins, personally I wouldn't have much reason to celebrate if I was a Democrat in the US. Trump has not lost popularity since 2016, in fact, given the 2+ million extra votes he received in total (and still counting), you could argue he even grew in popularity, and that is despite COVID-19 and all the other stuff.

I'll be very very curious to see how Biden will be able to deal with over one third of America's population still clearly disapproving of Democrat policies. It could turn out to be a pyrrhic victory to some extent I'm afraid.

guys, I really am concerned for how this will turn out when biden announces his victory. trump is stirring up his followers, i could see them march the streets and look for trouble. It could get very bad. a lot will depend on trump's reaction to biden's win. it was bad already (and hopefully his people warned him about the dangers of what he's saying)

I agree. There are simply too many to write them off as "deplorables," even if there's little reason to believe they're anything else. I think Biden will have to immediately begin trying to ameliorate concerns around that chasm. There won't be gloating. And it's such a burden because it seems like such a futile effort, and it probably is, but how can that house divided against itself stand?

And thus it begins. The stale carcass of a rotted peach would let the country implode if it meant he could put an asterisk next to his opponent's (possible) victory. These people have been being galvanized into eventual action for months now.

Its all over now. Biden has won WI and MI and has the 270 votes. Maybe even get PA but doesnt need it. Trump's legal challenges will not be successful (as there's no basis for them, he's only doing it so he can blame the loss on something other than himself).

I’m having a hard time to understand what happened in Florida... disappointment isn't even a proper word to describe what i feel about those latinos that voted in mass for Trump.

Just search "Florida" related thread in here and you'll understand why they vote for crazy Dumpster.
