Um..NO idea where ur from (if the US...seriously need to become a less low info. voter... like asap lol). You're seriously not aware there's currently at least 5-10 others running and at least another 10 about to run? At least 1/2 of those people (while not perfect) are younger, fresh, less baggage, less wackadoodle left, and *electable! I hate Bernie now. Many of his supporters are as grating as Trump zombies. He's as much of a trouble maker Russian-esque plant as Jill Stein and Tulsi Gubbard (his likely 'running mate') lmao I seriously did not care for Clinton but 0 doubt now Bernie did more to HURT Clinton and help Trump. Fact.

I am from Bulgaria, but I watch CNN a lot. I know there are countless democratic candidates at present and thats why I wondered if he ll be nominated as the candidate for the Democratic party against Trump. I know Bernie almost beat Hilary in 2016. Bernie is old but quite impactful. He has a chance. Actually Cory looks interesting and hot, but there is a lot of noise about him making favours for pharmaceutical companies. Pete Buttigieg is also interesting, but since he is gay, he might not really stand a chance. Kamala Harris seems like the favourite sofar, but I dont feel like she is as impactful as she should be to stand a chance against Trump.

It's a valid question. It's not clear to me whether he's planning to run as independent or be picked as Dem candidate.

Either way, while there's still democrats who can't see that it was Crooked  war-mongering Hillary herself that was the cause of their implosion and subsequent impotence as a political force, then what's the point? Watch them nominate yet another 'centrist' neo-liberal twit and watch Trump romp home for a second term.

Exactly. Hillary did not really inspire the Americans to vote. Most voted for her as a mean to stop Trump. And if the Dems choose another uninspiring candidate, Trump is winning again.

Agree about Kamala. Not at all getting the hype. She's just fine. That's it at least so far. I'm actually more impressed with Amy Klobachar and feel she'd be a waay better general election candidate. She's super smart, poised and has the it factor more than Warren and Gillabrand. Yes, there are rumors that she's god awful to work for. No doubt that could be what her HRC emails were in '16. But long as that's it, I dont care as long as she decimates Trump lol. Almost no doubt if Amy or Kamala arent on top of the ticket they're a lock for VP. I'd absolutely vote for her or even Bernie over Trump. But I'd really like to vote for someone who I actually connect with, rooting for (vs against someone) and most importantly electable.

I'm not sure about any of the democrats running for president yet

I'm hoping Biden and Beto O'Rourke announce and I'll support either one

If not then I'll go with Bernie and Kamala

Lol Are you even from America? None of this is true. Bernie is the most popular liberal politician in the country and has a ton of support from demographics you would need to win an election. Most of this "Bernie supporters are crazy" hysteria is Russian propaganda and you're falling for it again. Have you learned nothin from 2016?

People really don't want to accept that you need the white working class vote to win an election here.

If the economy is about the same in 20 months then Trump will win. If it tanks, he gets the boot.

If he runs as an independent then we’ll have Trump 4 more years. If he chooses to run on a Democratic ticket and doesn’t get the nomination then the Bernie Bros will fuck up the chances of any Democratic candidate defeating Trump hence him winning 2020 again. I’m calling this more a loose than a win situation but I’d like to be wrong.

I love Bernie but I think he is a little too old. He will be 79yo in 2020. Time to leave his place to younger people.

It's getting stronger and stronger. Swing voters could give a shit about gays and all the disenfranchised.

Mark my words. HE WILL WIN

If he runs as an independent they're fucked. I like him very much to be fair.

I love Bernie and what he stands for. He does not pussy foot around being a centralist like far too many political figures.  Love that he openly wants universal health care and preaches it loudly from the tree tops.   It is shocking that America is about the only Western country that does not have health care.   Equally shocking that so many are against it.

We know by now that the electorate were looking for something different and that's how Trump got in. Thanks to the Dems overlooking the only candidate of THEIRS that was offering something different (in favour of crooked Hillary the absolute worst possible choice) Bernie now has even more of an uphill struggle this time around. We all know Trump's getting a second term so...oh well.

I am not attacking you, but this is a straight-up myth. Hillary got almost 66 million votes in 2016. The only candidate in history to get more American votes was Barack Obama (both in 2008 and 2012). She received more votes in that election than Bill Clinton did for either of his Presidential runs, or George W. Bush.

Hillary's flaw, and it IS a real one, was that she spread her operation too thin trying to sweep Georgia and Arizona. She should've focused on the Blue Wall state of Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania.

So can we stop saying she didn't inspire people? A lot of women were inspired, and crushed the day after the election. Let's not discount her completely.

I love how everyone thinks Bernie would've won against Trump. It's certainly possible. However, he couldn't beat Hillary. And then people say, "But the DNC sabotaged him!" Do you honestly think the GOP would've been fair (or their Russian bots)? If you can't beat the Clintons, you probably can't beat the GOP. Look at Obama, he knew how to do both.

Bernie is a poor strategist. He barely spent money in the southern states during the primary which allowed Clinton to rack up delegates. He couldn't even win one of the most liberal states in the country - California - which voted close to dead last in the primary calendar. He had plenty of time to make his case, he failed. I'd also add that Bernie faced very little negative advertising during the primary (since Hillary was trying not to offend his supporters), the GOP would not have been so kind.

Anyway, I hope he's learned from his mistakes in the 2016 primary. I guess we'll see. I am voting for whomever the Democrats nominate. Even if it's a ketchup bottle.

I don't follow US politics closely enough to know what went down with Bernie, but I do know that if I were American, my only reason for voting for Clinton (ie voting for the status quo) would have been to stop Trump. I certainly don't support her policies or even like her, and I say that as a left leaning voter. And the minute I saw that first debate with robotic Hillary with the painted on smile I knew it was up for her. Global politics had already started shifting towards anti-establishment feeling, something that Bannon and his acolytes knew and played upon, with the Dems seemingly oblivious.

This is the sad truth and people need to accept it if they want to even have a chance of winning.

The election is decided by swing voters in a handful of states. Even if the economy is good, there are still a lot of people struggling. 78% of US workers live paycheck to paycheck and those are the people you want to reach, which is why Bernie focuses so much on working class whites.

Imo, none of the people running can beat Trump. For a dem to win, they have to get the independent vote as well as win over the Dems who left the party for Trump. That will only happen with a more centered candidate with an even stronger economic plan and not someone far left with a socialist agenda which many countries have gone broke from(Venezuela, France to name a few).  It also needs to be someone with the it factor in a different, likable, strong, phenomenon way who appeals to the masses (in every State and rurally not just populated cities) in the way Kennedy, Reagan, Obama and Trump did..,someone maybe like Oprah ( who many people of all parties loves and trusts and who means what they say-if that's at all possible these days))who swoops in and announces at the last minute.

He will be running as the democratic ticket. The democratic establishment would rather have Kampala.
