What is the story behind it. Music video reminded me of this:

(M also used it in her Frozen Re-Invention Tour backdrop)

It's about someone holding on to a gone, past lover. Struggling with the break up....as you can see in the water footage, the surface of the water stands for hope, believing in yourself, rebirth, a new start.

The odds that the Queen of Pop will be a guest performer at Eurovision 2019 are “looking very good” according to initiator Sylvan Adams.

The rumour that megastar Madonna has been invited to perform during the Grand Final of Eurovision 2019 has been pervasive for some time. According to Canadian-Israeli billionaire Mr. Sylvan Adams, who is involved with bringing the pop icon to Tel Aviv, things are “looking very good”.

Sylvan Adams spoke to Cannel 12 News about the subject at the YMCA in Jerusalem during the Keshet INTV Conference. The entrepeneur stated:

We’ve reached out to Madonna to try to add a little bit of glitz to the event. It’s looking very good that she’s going to come here and participate in the Eurovision Song Contest.

Bringing a star such as Madonna to Eurovision may not only be a boost for the contest, but for Israel’s image and tourism industry as well, says Mr. Adams:

There’s a steady drumbeat of negative news here, because of the density of journalists here in Israel, and here is one time where we were able to flip that on its head. Here, for a few days, people got to see us unfiltered in their own living rooms through their TV sets.

Sylvan Adams has been involved with bringing other major events to Israel, such as the start of the prestigious bicycle race Giro d’Italia last year. The “self-appointed ambassador at large for Israel” furthermore states:

Events like the Giro d’Italia and the Eurovision are a tremendous way to boost tourism. And I think the more people we bring here, the more people see our true nature, and the true beauty of our country and our people, and the freedom and openness and tolerance and safety of our country. The Giro d’Italia was proof of concept – it was proof that there is no event that we cannot host here. We have the expertise to manage everything.

If things work out, Madonna wouldn’t be the first internationally acclaimed artist to take to the Eurovision stage, as pop sensation Justin Timberlake was a special guest artist during the Grand Final of Eurovision 2016 in Stockholm, Sweden.

So, what do you think? Would the appearance of Madonna on the Eurovision 2019 stage be a boost for this year’s contest and Eurovision at large? Are you looking forward to seeing such an international star at Eurovision?

Israeli-Canadian billionaire says events like Giro D'Italia are a 'tremendous way to boost tourism' and show 'the true beauty of Israel.'
Canadian-Israeli billionaire Sylvan Adams said Tuesday that it is “looking very good” that Madonna will perform at the Eurovision this year.

Adams, speaking at the Keshet INTV Conference at the YMCA in Jerusalem, said he had gotten involved with the upcoming Eurovision in Tel Aviv in the hopes of bringing a huge-name artist to the show.

“We’ve reached out to Madonna to try to add a little bit of glitz to the event,” said Adams to Channel 12 News reporter Ben Mittelman. “It’s looking very good that she’s going to come here and participate in the Eurovision Song Contest.”

Last month, reports leaked out that Adams had approached KAN and offered to foot the bill for bringing Madonna to appear at the live grand finale in Tel Aviv on May 18. Ynet reported that Madonna had demanded more than a million dollars to appear at the show. KAN’s budget for the 2019 Eurovision – funded partly by a loan – stands at NIS 120 million.

Adams told the audience of global media professionals that hosting major international events in Israel is a serious boost for its image. The billionaire was a driving force behind Israel hosting the first three days of the Giro d’Italia bicycle race last year.

“There’s a steady drumbeat of negative news here, because of the density of journalists here in Israel, and here is one time where we were able to flip that on its head,” said Adams. “Here, for a few days, people got to see us unfiltered in their own living rooms through their TV sets.”

Adams, who describes himself as a “self-appointed ambassador at large for Israel,” said that events like the Giro d’Italia and the Eurovision are “a tremendous way to boost tourism. And I think the more people we bring here, the more people see our true nature, and the true beauty of our country and our people, and the freedom and openness and tolerance and safety of our country.”

He said he has been in talks with government authorities and ministries to establish a permanent fund to host and stage such events.

“The Giro d’Italia was proof of concept – it was proof that there is no event that we cannot host here,” Adams said. “We have the expertise to manage everything.”

so it's been reported in Israel now that her appearance in the Eurovision might not happen because of the songs she decided to play during the performance and that one of them is a new one that apparently is very political and controversial... the heads of the corporation that in charge of this year Eurovision don't want to mess with her choices but someone in the production against the song or something

Well, it looks like the first single will be a controversial one. Let the drama begin...

no controversy please....

She is not going to just replace the main single with some other song. The whole point was to promote the first single.

Ha if they think M would replace a song especially if it is a new single not happening

She would rather cancel a show then alter it ☺☺☺

lol I prefer M performing something controversial (and not in the BIM controversial sort of way, but really making people think about important issues) opposed to a kid friendly/family friendly version of M. hope she's not conforming to what they want and just does what she wants

i hope this era will be all about music. im afriad that if she brings controversy, she may face backlash.

A political controversy is the last she needs now. A simple innuendo or a misleading call for common peace can be viewed as controversial in Israel if you choose the wrong words. I can't imagine that Madonna wants to jeopardize her career at this time with another political controversy. She has to play it safe.

This sounds more like a self-generated rumour to hype up her performance. They’re not gonna ruin the success of a potential massive world tour for some controversial stuff. I think her new PR team is starting to pull tricks for the new era. Smart move.

Even if the lead single/video isn't controversial, I think that some form of controversy is going to be inevitable for her. Even the most tame and mundane things she does these days causes SJW outrage for at least a few days. So, unless Madonna starts second guessing every little thing she says or does best believe she's gonna piss someone off during this era at some point. I mean, she doesn't even really have to try anymore.

Madonna's Eurovision participation unclear after controversial song choice

Madonna's participation in the Eurovision competition is currently unclear after production officials reviewed the song list the singer was preparing to work off of and found one of the songs to be inappropriate for the their audience and expected atmosphere of the competition, according to Ynet. A new replacement song has not yet surfaced, and it is unclear if one will.

A number of sources located within the Eurovision contest itself expressed their dismay with the intended performance of the song, while other demanded for artistic freedom to be respected and to leave the choice up to Madonna herself. The director general of the broadcasting company is in favor of the latter and directed production not to interfere with her artistic expression. Meanwhile, Israeli media unofficially reported that Madonna filmed a political advertisement which would "lead to controversy." It is unclear if this is in any relation to the controversial song choice.

Ohhhh shit....what could the song be? An oldie but goodie, or a new controversial anthem our ears have yet to be blessed with? Like, what song would really be that controversial from her catalog? Surely not Like a Prayer right? And Erotica would be a bizarre choice. Holy Water? lol I mean she is gonna be in the holy land.
