Remember the horse ride on Jan 1st had music by Post Malone and it was liked by Edgar Barrera (Maluma's music producer). But, it does not mean that the first single is not already identified and she is not working on the video and that the promo campaign is not in broad strokes worked out. All those political demos (freedom, revolution, god is love) and Avicii and then a shift to ever changing, contemporary sounds. I believe that via Vogue Italia, music was pencilled in for 2018 but then she’s changed gears hence the delay... it’s happened before most notably with ROL. Of of course this is all based on drips of info and a whole lotta presumptions from my rear end. i was literally creaming myself at the thought of a cool, dark Mirvais Vs Portuguese opus but I feel like this has slipped far away. They said it would be fast tracked in the press statement but that was a year ago now and with rumours of touring this year and the album yet to be released, MGM have either phoned her to say shooting starts this spring or it’s been pulled? Well the thing is she’s signed with MGM and it will be Madonna working her schedule around them not the other way round. I was hoping the film would be shot before the album was released as I fear it the promotion would be rushed to go and direct.....but at the minute it looks like she’s in full music artist mode. Well it’s not strictly a false narrative just basing it on then press release that came out and the term fast track for me doesn’t mean 2 + years. Your right some films take years to make but again the press release sounded like MGM had everything in place rather than it being like Titanic and taking years and years to organise. Confirmation of the album didn’t happen at the same time the film was announced....she started the album in January last year (first snaps from the studio) the film was announced in March.
