DeMo 0 Posted December 12, 2018 The only album I actually bought this year was "Honey" by Robyn and I'm quite pleased with it. I didn't hear anything else worthy of spending money on an entire album. I anticipate the next album I purchase will be whatever Madonna puts out in 2019.
Fever 0 Posted December 12, 2018 In no particular order... Honey - Robyn Porches - Porches Chris - Christine and the Queens God's Favourite Customer - Father John Misty Dirty Computer - Janelle Monae Record - Tracey Thorn Hell-On - Neko Case The Futire and the Prass - Natalie Prass But I agree - not one stands out as an absolute favourite or defining album of the year...maybe Chris. Kurt420 0 Posted December 13, 2018 Pretty sure it's because I'm getting old but most new music I hear now absolutely bores me to tears! It just doesn't stick with me. I feel like strong hooks and melodies just aren't there anymore for the most part. Perhaps I'm just hearing the wrong things. 🤷♂️ No way I could come up with 10 but I did enjoy Janelle Monae and MGMT.....still have yet to listen to the full Robyn album but what I've heard sounds really good. Definitely will dive into that one fully soon!
Showdown 0 Posted December 13, 2018 Eh i can definately say there was nobody i was excited for other than twenty one pilots. The most listened to albums for me were Twenty One Pilots - Trench which came out this year and M83's album Junk which came out in 2016. Other than that i got really into Depeche Mode and New Order's older albums. Hopefully 2019 will bring better albums.
