What’s known about the string of suspicious packages targeting Trump critics

With the addition of packages addressed to Robert De Niro and Joe Biden, the FBI has confirmed 10 intercepted packages addressed mostly to prominent Democrats. President Trump condemned the first string of packages on Wednesday, and on Thursday, pointed to “fake news” for the “anger we see today in our society.”

And of course he takes no responsibility whatsoever for stoking the flames and instead blames the media. It was just last week he was bragging about a politician for assaulting a journalist.

Its truly frightening all the shit he encourages and has brought up to the surface.

US bomb suspect faces 58 YEARS in jail - Trump supporter arrested after FINGERPRINT found

US law-enforcement officials have named the parcel-bomb suspect arrested on Friday as Cesar Sayoc and charged him with five federal crimes.

Sayoc, 56, faces up to 58 years in prison if convicted, with the charges including threatening a former US president, interstate transportation of explosives, illegal mailing of explosives, threatening interstate communications, and assaulting current and former federal officers.

Authorities arrested Sayoc - who is a keen Donald Trump supporter - near Fort Lauderdale in Florida on Friday after a wave of suspected explosive devices were sent to prominent Democrats and critics of Mr Trump, including Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton.

The suspected MAGA bomber was taken into custody by federal police officers in a car park of an auto-parts shop in Plantation, north of Miami, after the devices were posted this week.

Mr Wray warned: "These are not hoax devices. There may be other packages in transit now."

He added: "We do believe that we’ve caught the right guy. There’s still a lot of work to be done."

Sayoc was arrested after allegedly leaving a finger print on a suspect package sent to California Rep.Maxine Waters.

The IEDs were made of six inches of PVC pipe, a small block, battery and potentially explosive energetic material.

A van, reportedly plastered in right-wing stickers, was removed on a truck at the scene of Sayoc's arrest, with the suspect reported to have been arrested previously for making bomb threats and to have a long criminal history.

US Attorney General Jeff Sessions said: "We will not tolerate such lawlessness, especially political violence”.

Sayoc, from Fort Lauderdale, was photographed being led away with his hands cuffed behind his back and flanked by law enforcement officers.

Sayoc was previously arrested and accused of threatening to use a bomb, the New York Times reports.

His criminal record allegedly dates back to 1991 and includes theft, drug and fraud charges. 2002, he was convicted of a threat to “throw, place, project or discharge any destructive device” in Dade County, Florida, court documents show.

Police closed roads around the AutoZone car park where Sayoc was arrested, as helicopters whirled overhead.

A woman who lives nearby said she was in her yard weeding on Friday morning when she heard a loud bang, saw smoke and heard a lot of shouting.

Sayoc was born in 1962, with more arrests possibly to follow, a federal law enforcement official told Reuters.

Photographs have emerged of Sayoc at a 2016 rally for Mr Trump, with the alleged bomber's Facebook page plastered with right-wing memes.

The keen bodybuilder, who is of Native American origin, posted photos of himself wearing a “Make America Great Again” hat.

Other memes he has posted attack Mrs Clinton, with one branding her a hypocrite.

There are also images insulting Muslims as "paedophiles and rapists".

According to police, Castro tweeted “I will kill Carlos Curbelo” on his personal Twitter page.

Funny how they still say "allegedly" when the person couldn't have spelled it out any more clearly.

When it comes to criminal acts news media uses the term "allegedly" until the person in question is convicted of that crime in a court of law. In the United States, at least.
