Someone said on this forum a while back (but still like eight years after the tour) that “CAC” was rehearsed for Sticky and I’d never heard that before. Maybe that poster was just making shit up, but I can see this song fitting so well in the “old school” segment.

Definitely want this lost hit resurrected on a future tour!

Needs to be revived, along with Gambler.

She definitely needs to bring back this song!

I remember her saying that she always forgets the words to this song and also a few night she rejected singing it on S&S

Saturday 01 November - Oracle Arena, Oakland

From Ian:
During the request portion she asked a cute boy in a green shirt on front row/stage left and he shouted 'Causing a Commotion!' She turned to the band and pondered it for a moment before 'No, no....try again!' - I think the second time he said 'Cherish' but it was hard to tell - but she quickly said 'No....cute tee-shirt though!'

Toronto - 19 Oct. 2008

The second show in Toronto, which started earlier than usual, at 8:30 pm, featured Dress You Up in the request section. Madonna refused to perform Causing A Commotion because "singing that song made her sound retarded".

Posted (edited)

One of her best songs, would have been great an ukelele version on Rebel Heart Tour, she coud have sung true blue some nights and causing a commotion others.

I think Perez Hilton did a 'searching for Madonna' type segment for his site during the SS tour and towards the end met M and went through a list of songs including CAC ...and she said that she could never remember the lyrics / beat to that song

Really?? I had no idea that ever happened... any tidbits on other songs? I'm always interested to know what she thinks of her own material
Anyway, as much as I love Causing a commotion, it sounds so 80s that I can't really see her performing in its original arrangement ever again

Her singing CAC on the next tour would certainly cause a commotion.

I for one would scream and cry then dance around like an idiot. Then I'd probably just start hugging random strangers on the street.

LOL out of those, Cherish is the only one that would've fitted TB's ukelele acoustic theme
