This wasn't even a big hit, but it's my favorite Heart song, also by Billy Steinberg & Tom Kelly

It gets a bit TOO loud at the end but it's a great ballad, I love it

@todsmod  Get yourself into this thread.  I bet you know plenty of great power ballads to share !

Oh oh!!!  I've been summoned by JJ!!!  Thanks for the invite.  You're making me feel special (or old and sappy)!??  :lmao:

Does it matter what decade?  If not, here's one I can immediately think of that I love singing at the top of my lungs.  His voice/range suits mine perfectly (although I'm sure mine is not as smooth).  And I hope this qualifies as a "power" ballad?  Give me some guidelines (strong vocals only, no mid-tempo...)?  I'll have to put my thinking cap on (if I can find where I put it)!!!!!

Just for you @Jazzy Jan.  Not sure if this qualifies (does in my book) or if it should mainly be rock oriented?

These are a few of my absolute FAVE power ballads of the 80's. I still belt them out while driving.

Thank You, Jan!!!

I didn't like this song at the time. It was only when I realized it was deeply related to M's "I'll Remember" that I grew affectionate to it.

Same here.  I did not like it years ago but love it now.

Same with All you Zombies by the Hooters. .  Did not love it at the time so much but heard it on the radio recently and now I just love it.  Such incredible and interesting lyrics.

And poor Deborah needs a mention too (if she wasn't already)!  I loved (and still do) her smooth vocals on her ballads.

She really had some timeless classics.

Mnino,  "Just Once"  is such a magnificent heartbreaking ballad.  Another of my all time favourites.  James Ingram sings it with so much feeling.  He has a wonderful voice.

Love "It might be you as well"

@Genevieve Vavance Sorry for not properly thanking YOU for this thread (Jan, that greedy bitch, took it over and I assumed it was hers)!!!  :lmao:   You know I'm playing, @Jazzy Jan!!!

Also, sorry for posting a couple that were already mentioned.  I've been in the mood for some powerful/soulful/smooth ballads after reading the STR thread.  Must be the calm before the storm?

Here's another I've always loved.
