Tracey Thorn new album out now !

Recommended Posts

Tracey Thorn has a new album out since a few day's.

It's called Record.

It's really good. After first listen I thought it's good. But now I love it.

There are a lot of divine songs on it. She always delivers good.

I'm surprised that no one here mentions her new album.

Do you like it ?

Thank you for the information. I didn’t even know she had released a new album.

Love Tracey's voice. Who produced it? I'll need to check it out.

She's glorious. Her voice is like honey. Out of the Woods is one of my favorite albums of the 00's.

Ewan Pearson produced it.

I've had this album on repeat since last week. Can't get enough of it!

Here is my little re-edit of Dancefloor (just to bring it up to over 3 minutes...3:28, exactly). It's probably the next single. https://www.sendspace.com/file/aprvbm

Finally, this album features a woman singing about other things than being with a boy, chasing after a boy or being betrayed by a boy...something other female artists could take lessom from.

The new album is good and elegant. As it often happens with age, Tracey's voice is more deep than before but still beautiful and melancholic.

It's actually refreshing to hear pop songs about mature themes. It has become a rarity.

I've had this album in repeat since Yesterday. I Love the mixture between dance songs and midtempo ballads.

It's a mature album from a strong woman. ☺

Also check out her tune with George Fitzgerald on his album.

”Half-Light” is a melan-tronic bop.

Nice too !

I'm crazy for the first single Queen.

Sister is awesome too. So many good songs on the new album.

EBTG were such favs of mine back in the day but I kind of lost track with Tracey's solo work over the years. I'm gonna check this one out though. Her books are enjoyable too!

:inlove: I'm surprised Madge didn't get old TODD TERRY on remix duties in the 90s!

Will def give it a listen!  I heard Queen already which I kinda like.

Big fan of Everything but the girl two albums temperamental and walking wounded.

Hmm finding it a bit underwhelming but maybe it just needs a few more listens...

I think Dancefloor is a nice upbeat song. Reminds me of the mid ninetees dance songs. Can't wait for the remixes.

Remixes to "Dancefloor" are out. The 12" mix alone is worth it. The Italo mix gave me goosebumps.
