karbatal 0 Posted January 11 She was so pissed off and beautiful and Madonnaesque and wonderful! Sad Drake What a mong! Madonn: "I kissed a girl, and i didn't like it". Remember?
Shaun 0 Posted January 11 BIM as a song is ace. The video was simply the icing in the cake.
Jairo 0 Posted January 11 I love the BIM video! And the song is a classic. She worked with Diplo and sophie and they did together a fantastic job, very experimental and on point. Â

Lolo 0 Posted January 11 Why is this Drake guy even considered hot? He is so ugly, totally not my type. I would gag even looking at him up close. Sorry, but I had to let it out.
KalamazooJay 0 Posted January 11 Madonna will NEVER be nominated for a VMA again. For anything. Not ever. That ship sailed away a long, long time ago. I would venture to say that Madonna probably doesn't even think about MTV anymore. And she's with about 80% of the country. As for the Drake thing, I actually forgot about it. It was a blip on the radar for about a day and disappeared into the wind. Which is great because the entire thing was a total disaster from beginning to end. From the performance to the kiss the song selection. I have no desire to ever watch any of it again.

acko 0 Posted January 11 Let's face it tho...the video is only known as 'That Video that has Beyoncé & Katy Perry...' in it. & That's probably the main reason why I don't care 4 it.

David's cameo is the best tho... & Aya and Bambi are more relevant than Katy or Beyonce to me
MichaelDieker 0 Posted January 11 BIM and Ghosttown were both fking awesome IMO. BIM had the viral aspect but Ghosttown is a freaking masterpiece of a video and song.

I didn't argue your point I'm just saying that's a shame coz both Beyonce&Katy cameos were so short and forgettable.

Not true at all to be honest and I'm saying this as someone who doesn't like the song at all and yes in terms of Madonna's videos it's not one of her best but it's a good video and one of the best of that year.
Suedehead 0 Posted January 11 And in all fairness she was ahead of the curve with that particular Diplo sound and even some elements of LFLÂ but that's another conversation (the 'woe is RH' thing).
Confessit 0 Posted January 11 I never cared for BIM but appreciate it was the most successful single from RH. But for me it was the weakest single and I think it got the attention due to a cameo packed music video.

VogueMusic 0 Posted January 12 I think we're giving way too much credit to some silly split second cameos. The song is one of the most contemporary on the album, and actually gets a positive response from young listeners. We've mentioned it here quite a few times before, and I've seen the same reactions in real life when playing the album.

I don't think anyone is saying she had a ROL-eque renaissance among that age group because of BIM but it's far and away the song they've connected the most to since 4M. It definitely made some young people aware of who Madonna is much in the same way 4M did. Idk why that's such a hard pill for some to swallow...lol....anytime we have these discussions there's always those that go that extra mile to discredit the (minimal) impact of this song.
karbatal 0 Posted January 12 The popularity went beyond those cameos. Some of us maybe don't like those beats much, but they were addictive for kids.
Suedehead 0 Posted January 12 Exactly. Those beats were used everywhere by YouTubers (and still are).  Bitch I'm Madonna!
Andra 0 Posted January 12 The beats are great, the sound is great, her voice a little annoying, but the title and lyrics are just the WORST. And exclaiming your own name in your song I just think it's totally CRINGE, she's just so much better than that and so above that. Like..imagine Bowie singing Bitch I'm Bowie.
VogueMusic 0 Posted January 12 I don't know if that comparison works though. It wouldn't have worked for Bowie because it doesn't fit him. But Madonna has always had a sense of humor about herself. And the whole song is meant to be tongue in cheek anyway.
