They also spent 10 million dollars even though the seat will expire in 5 months.

It's absolutely embarrassing and ominous for them, without a doubt.

The democrats spent 10 million dollars or the republicans?

Waste of time people talking about his affair with Stormy Daniels. Trump's supporters are going to support him and even admire him for this.  Sad but true. Remembers Trump lovers could not of cared less about his sexist, vile comments about women previously  so why would they blink an eye that he slept with another woman while married with a young child.  Melania would not care either.  She probably is relieved  he is touching another woman and not her.  More bread and circuses to distract from the real damage he is doing.

And his approval rating is ticking up. I blame the constant focus on this distracting bullshit.

Is ANYONE surprised by this in the least? Especially his supporters. If they haven't been appalled by a lifetime of deplorable behavior from this pig, they're certainly not going to clutch their pearls over him fucking a porn star.

But I suppose it's ratings gold for CNN since they have their 100 person panels screaming over each other to talk about it. So pathetic.

The media put this madman in office and I'm starting to think they're going to get him reelected.

I know.   If it funny in many ways.  I know a few religious people who are huge Trump supporters.  These people would honestly be virtually foaming at the mouth if anyone else were to do what Trump was doing - ie so open with his vile language,  his obvious and utter contempt for women,  his shocking racism etc.  The list goes on.   Multi marriages with younger women,  affairs - the things that religious people usually are very vocal about. .   Yet somehow,  all is forgiven with Trump and he is seen as some kind of weird voice for the everyday person.  It is completely baffling.  For example a woman I work with who LOVES Trump and openly praises him all the time,  will verbally get stuck into any actor or sportsman who sleeps around and her comments about female celebrities are brutal.   Yet, to her Trump can do no wrong.

Thing is,  as tacky and cringe as the details of his affair with Stormy Daniels are,  they both consented to the affair and in the world of politicians it is what goes on.  I know enough about politicians in Canberra to know that they all get up to stuff like this.   The media concentrating on something that people just shrug off is giving Trump what he wants.  People should be outraged at everything he is doing to the country itself and his lying, dirty tactics and policies.  Instead,  we are being distracted by pointless stuff.

This.

The media needs to stop talking about him for 2 minutes and let us all take a breath. This constant bashing is not helping. If anything its starting to lose credibilty on all the valid points we all have on why hes not fit as a president. His supporters are standing by him nomatter what after all. They need to shut up and let things run its course. Focus more on his policies and conduct as a president now... talking about past affairs and Russia probe is not going to have him removed.

This +2! lol For real..if I was a Trump brain dead zombie loon I'd look at the current news cycle and zzz,  get a migraine or loon for him more. What's exhausting and/or making people numb (hence the slight uptick in his #s) is the buildup to..every f'king thing, scandal etc.. finally being the 'thing' that topples him yet ..NOTHING significant or that has legs. If there's anything 'catastrophic' or unthinkable out there just DUMP It already! All these buildups end up duds (since 2015/16) They do feed into the Trump fake news ramblings. Long as the economy is solid and no wars or anything significant that hurts his base and the soft Trump voters economically, why would they give 1/2 a shit about which porno star he banged or even something worse!

Stormy's lawyer is basically turning into another Trump (media whore who spins, generates publicity, creates hype etc..) then all turns out hollow. The shit he pulled prior to the 60 minutes (hinting/showing that DVD disc or whatever) was absurd. Interview was crap! All ends up the same old same old (sleazy, frivolous tabloid shit)= ratings! When the media focuses on his horrid policies and actions (non sensational shit) that's when he usually takes a true hit.

The thing is...the Stormy Daniels affair could violate several laws because he paid her off. That's the real story, not the actual sex part. If it was any other politician it would have been grounds for impeachment.

Can you imagine if Obama had even been PICTURED with a porn star? It would have been a career-ending scandal. But that's the thing about Trump. There's so much horrible stuff that it's overwhelming.

I could understand people being sick of the media coverage and CNN is shit but it's also difficult when you have someone like Trump who is so horrible, lies several times a day, breaks the law without repercussions, etc.

I mean it's not like they can just ignore it. There just needs to be more substance and less "OMG TRUMP SAID WHAT??".

I agree @impr3ssive_instant  and it is so frustrating.  No other president would get away with a quarter of the stuff Trump does.  If Obama had been pictured with a porn star, we would never hear the end of it.

It is scary that a president can be such a lying, disgusting person and also have dreadful damaging policies. .  Also frightening that people seem to not only expect garbage from him but excuse it.  Somehow he has followers who forgive him everything.  Considering he is a millionaire who has NOTHING in common with his supporters and has policies that make life worse for them,  it is baffling.

It is something that is like a nightmare or crazy comedy sketch but sadly is happening before our eyes.

Even though it's absolutely disgusting that evangelical Christians who voted for Trump still stand in blatant hypocrisy with their excuses for his affair with Daniels, I agree with the others here that it's not the issue that's going to make these people pull their support for him, especially over a year into the presidency.

The best thing for his opposition to do would be to focus on the midterms and motivating the Dem base, especially youth turnout, and then use that excitement to build up to 2020. If Democrats can regain a majority in the House and Senate, then blocking Trump's agenda for his last two years would be a great path to regaining the presidency. I hope Sanders can capitalize on that.

The conservative Christians have forever given up the moral high ground. I never want to hear them EVER again criticize a politician about an affair or in any other way call out someone who is morally deficient in their eyes. They have proven they don't care one bit about morals as long as the people they support deliver what they want. They need to be called out on this every time they open their judgmental mouths.

They definitely have.  They can easily be called out for being hypocrites on moral issues from now onwards when they lecture others. All through them having excused and supported Trump despite all the evidence.

I think that's the biggest problem for now: Democrats have no real leader. They need to find someone very charismatic and quick. Time flies.

The Dems will have plenty of good people step up. Honestly, Joe Biden is looking good against Trump (or Pence). Many others are willing to step up like Billionaire Tom Steyer or Oprah. I truly think he would not know what to do against Oprah. She can handle him in her sleep. She checks all the boxes (self made, charismatic, beloved, celebrity) and by 2020, if he lasts past this year, people will want a different kind of celebrity and entertainment. People are sick of the constant Trump ego explosions every day. Esp if the GOP gets wiped out in the midterms.

Oprah would be a disaster. It would be Hillary 2.0

Just the fact Oprah is a consideration, it proves how desperate they are.

Oprah was never considered in the first place. Its how the media likes to spin their news. And all right wingers - including Mr Fake News President- went Oh Oprah is running for president and of course Trump had to state that he would beat her and blah, blah, blah. Oprah never even suggested she would run. In fact she denied it straight away. Dems never seriously considered her.

I think whats more desperate is how the USA is trying to save face with an aggressive Russia taking over Syria, a lost trade war against China, a wall which will never be built ( thank God for that by the way.. US racists must be so disappointed in their fuhrer), opioid crises, gun violence at its peak courtesy of the NRA still in power, NK dirty games and Israel still killing innocent Palestinians. Is hate crime still on the rise? Or cops still killing innocent black men?

I feel like there's a big rift between traditional Democrats and Bernie progressives. I only hope people can suck it up this time and come together when it comes time to vote.

They won't. The Dems could fuck up a one car parade. This happens all the time. History repeats itself. Only thing is I'm not sure i want the Dems winning the midterms or the 2020 election. The deficit is skyrocketing since the tax cuts projected to be over a trillion in less than 2 years. The economy has been made very unstable by huge tax cuts on top of huge spending. This will play out as a repeat of 2006-2009 all over again only this time it will be much worse and the Dems will be left to pick up the pieces while being partially blamed. Let the GOP own this lock stock......

I agree but they said the same about Trump

That’s not what I find funny. What’s funny is that democrats were like waaaaaaa Trump has no experience he’s just a tv personality waaaaa and then Oprah gives a little speech and people Somehow think that means she’s fit for the highest position in public office and one of the most important in the entire world despite having literally ZERO experience.

People on both sides of the political spectrum are just as retarded and I blame the internet because now EVERYONE thinks they have the right to open their damn mouth just because they can.

And the only reason why this upsets me is because yeah, sure, Republicans are the fucking worst, but they know how to win. Democrats only win when people are fed up with the Republicans.

The deficit has absolutely NOTHING to do with the recession. How In the world do tax cuts make the economy unstable??? Do you really think if Democrats go away for two years the deficit will make everything go to shit and then they will come in with Someone super duper fit for the job in 2020 like Oprah and POOF deficit gone :lmao: .

I’ve said this before but it seems like you guys WANT things to go to shit just so you can say “see, I told you you shouldn’t have voted for Trump.” It’s the same thing the Republicans did with Obama.

Meanwhile, in the real world, the economy is doing well and Trump is the worst but he’s done nothing to the economy to lead anyone to believe that the economy is going to hell anytime soon. And a president has never lost reelection when the economy isn’t doing well.
