Former Japanese Pop Diva 's farewell album breaks sales records.

Veteran Japanese pop star Namie Amuro announced in early September her retirement from music. As a farewell project she released her last album  nov.10th titled 25-Finally, a compilation album. The album sold 1,113,000 physical units in its first week in Japan, a country that only tracks physical sales and not streaming-equilevant units.

A lot of people are questioning if this retirement is for real or a marketing tactic, in the end of the day Finally has already outsold in pure sales many latest worldwide releases of western pop girls like Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Rihanna, Ariana Grande etc. The record has already moved 1,5m pure units in 3 weeks according to Oricon Chart.
