BAT esa, technically, the Like a Prayer Tour. Breathless was pretty much a side project so it definitely belongs. We could, however, add Vogue on the bonus CD considering it was originally the b-side to Keep It Together, so it all makes more sense

Well Madonna changed its named from the Like a Prayer tour because the tour wasn't exclusively to promote that album by the time the tour kicked off.

Such a release would be fine- anything that brings notice to the splendor that is Like a Prayer.

Let's face it, Madonna fans are the fucking worst.

You have U2 fan sites getting together to create lists of questions to put to Guy Oseary over the shambolic handling of their latest tour pre-sales (yes Oseary is ruining U2 just as he's ruined Madonna) and he jumps right to it and answers all their questions and says how important it is to have these dialogues with fans and working together and listening to what U2 fans want, and Madge fans get HEE HAW as usual.

He'd probably be astounded to know that Madonna fans even care about the music at all.

It's these kind of periods (this interminable Mambo era) that would be ideal for tiding us over with the odd release here or there before anything new comes, but NAW.

I thought that Mnation twitter account was sth he followed?. Let's at least try tweeting him. That Gang Bang Video facebook page back in the day was one of the reasons his People contacted Hector 2 put people in the triangle 4 MDNA.

That was while Guy was basically just Madonna's manager and nothing more.

Did we know that Live Nation now actually OWNS Oseary's management company since 2014? That Madonna will probably never be free of their shackles even when her 360 deal ends?

They're all about milking that touring cash cow and nothing else, especially not Madonna's artistic history and legacy.

We're screwed.

Andrae Crouch: Michael Jackson And Madonna Collaborator Dies
January 9, 2015

andraecrouchfull.jpg

Andrae Crouch, the singer known for singing and directing the choir on such big hits as Madonna’s “Like a Prayer” and Michael Jackson’s “Man in the Mirror,” has died. Andrae Crouch was 72-years-old and was admitted to the Northridge Hospital Medical Center after suffering a heart attack on Saturday.

Crouch wrote his first gospel at age 14 and went on to win seven Grammy awards. Andrew Barker from Variety perfectly summarizes Andrae Crouch’s significance.

“Active since the 1960s, the Southern California native was notable for incorporating contemporary secular music styles into the Gospel tradition, helping to pave a path for much of contemporary Christian music in the process. Stevie Wonder, Elton John and Quincy Jones were among Crouch’s many secular music collaborators, and he conducted choir parts for such pop hits as Madonna’s ‘Like a Prayer’ and Michael Jackson’s ‘Man in the Mirror.'”

Several paid tribute to Andrae Crouch on Twitter.

Andrae Crouch‘s death wasn’t a complete surprise, especially since CBN’s quote from his sister on Tuesday sounded unpromising.

“At this time, Andrae is being attended by a wonderful medical team, and we are so grateful for the thousands of people around the world who are praying for Andrae right now.”

During the making of his album Mighty Wind in 2006, Andrae told CBN he had cancer of the throat. When doctors cut it out, they discovered seven nodes or polyps surrounding it. Crouch, whose mother, father, and brother all died of cancer, said when the doctors checked it again after cutting the growth, the nodes were gone.

Andrae Crouch is also well known in the film industry. He was The Lion King’s main arranger and conductor. He also wrote the song “Maybe God’s Trying to Tell You Something” from The Color Purple. He also penned the tune “He’s Gone/He’s Back” from Once Upon a Forest in 1993.

Madonna has yet to comment on Crouch, but you can bet she will by this weekend. It is interesting to note that back in 1989, reports indicated that the Andrae Crouch Choir did not want to participate in the “Like a Prayer” video due to its content, which included burning crosses and stigmata. Andrae Crouch was happy with the song, but obviously didn’t want to get caught in a firestorm of controversy.

It is obviously too early for Crouch’s funeral arrangement, but you can expect a lot of famous musicians to show up. What is your favorite memory of Andrae Crouch? Tell us in the comments section.

My Like A Prayer playlist uses the single versions for all the songs released and adds supernatural. It’s great that way, I prefer Shep’s mixing of the original tracks in their 7” Versions.

The petition will never happen, so there's no use trying to dream up something that won't be.

Besides, I don't get why fans lust over the idea of an anniversary set. Yes it's nice to dream about what we want but at the end of the day it's wishful thinking and a waste of time.

The original albums should remain intact as they currently are and let people experience them as they are in original form without all these extra remixes or songs that never was meant to be included on the final concept of the album.

Warner/Whoever she is with now will probably compile a box set of her albums after she's gone

See, this is the thing. Surely common sense tells them to strike when the iron's hot (which was a few years ago anyway) BUT When I'm 60 something, I don't think I'm gonna be that excited about finally having Blond Ambition Tour on 16k Future-Ray or listening to that rare LAP remix while doing my knee exercises. (Once) the most collectable female artist on the planet giving us fuck all to collect...smh!
