Especially when they're building a wall and creating an immigration problem that 5 years ago didn't exist. Opportunistic and sheeer propaganda.

Venezuela needs aid though. Maybe stopping the blocking would help??????

Anyway, if only fucking Maduro resigned and new free elections happened!!!

Maduro is trash and Venezuela definitely needs help, but the U.S. and other imperialist powers (who are interested in one thing only) sending "help" at the border in the form of a toilet papar AKA a photo op is NOT going to help the situation. They need sanctions lifted. And if the U.S. cared so much they wouldn't have created this mess for millions of people in the form of sanctions after sanctions just to punish the mean old Socialists that made oil state-owned.

The evil of socialism

the evil of dictatures.

I believe that socialdemocracies are the answer to this world and that liberalism is the cause of most pain, tbqh. But in Venezuela's case it is a dictature, no matter the political sign. (although had it been a far-right dictature I am sure that there wouldn't have been so many problems with USA and other countries...).

They are still doing it with Iranian people or North Korea. Even Russia. And here we are in the EU clapping like MONGS.

I agree with you, but liberalism and capitalism are not the evils you make them to be, originally they are meant to carry anyone upwards while benefiting the economy and I believe in those principles. Our disapproval of US policies and of their ridiculous president should not cloud our judgment of these countries rampant with corruption and dictatorships since forever. I’ll choose the US model over any of them, capitalism can be a vector for democracy as it was always meant to be

the same goes for the EU

is it me, or this time people aren´t buying the "let´s help this country and take over all the power and the oil that they´ve got"?

I think we in Spain are tired of the Venezuela issue (after they used it to attack Podemos for several years) and we're busy with our own political landscape.

However, when I watch the news in ZDF (Germany), BTV (Bulgaria) and Channel 4 (UK) they regularly inform and the position is pro help.

I am adamantly against socialism and anyone who supports it. it has been of no service to any country that has adapted it.

This is a horrible situation in Venezuela. I hope they find a solution soon.

Agree with all of it.

when you say pro help is pro invasion?

what is happening with the red cross that they are not going to help with this humanitarian campaign, because they say it´s not an humanitarian campain?

and can USA attack venezuela, or even worse, use colombia to attack them using them, when russia and china are against it? would it be a new irak?

I have family in venezuela, and they are really divided... it´s incredible this is happening in a country with such quantity of natural resources...well, or maybe not.I really don´t have a lot of info about it, but it seems to me that Chavez and probably other latin american politicians wanted to change the system to improve their countries situation, and they have lost the battle long time ago.I guess it´s time to let Milton Friedman´s ideas enter Venezuela

The "powers that be", always do that to naturally rich places, so they can buy everything for cheap. Literally every country with a lot of petrolium, or natural resources gets gutted and then sold for a dime.

What I really mean by "powers that be" is the international banking cartels, which is the real authority globally. All Central Banks, including the Federal Reserve are PRIVATE banks, and they're all interconnected. I know this may sound really crazy if you're not well informed, but it's the truth.

How Venezuela Descended Into Turmoil

Published on Mar 1, 2019

Venezuela was once the wealthiest country in South America. Now it's in turmoil. President Nicolas Maduro faces a challenge from opposition leader Juan Guaido, who's attracting more and more support as the crisis drags on, both internationally and from Venezuela's military ranks. At the same time, inflation is spiking and unrest is reaching a fever pitch. Here's how we got to this point.

There's been a power outage in most of Venezuela since 5pm yesterday. Some cities (including many areas in Caracas) have been with no power for over 24h already. This is also affecting communications, hospitals, food storage and more.

yes, suddenly they are not twitting anymore.and once again a doubt comes to my mind: is it really an internal problem that has created this power outage, or is it a way of the usa of making people angrier against maduro´s government?

the only thing that appears on twitter about venezuela today is that former spanish president zapatero has a new house, and some are saying that maduro paid for it...

Protests In Venezuela As Crisis Deepens With Lack Of Electricity

The latest unrest in Venezuela comes after a nationwide blackout, which President Nicolas Maduro blamed on “American imperialism.”

People are dying in the hospitals, many times without even being admitted.

And due to the lack of electricity morgues and funerary houses are not working, which makes it an even sadder situation.

How are you feeling, Jesús? It has to be so hard to witness this situation from the distance.
