Have you guys heard Nelly's new album? If yes, what's your opinion?

Nelly-Furtado-The-Ride-2016.jpg

It's called "The Ride" and I have to say I really enjoy it. Such an improvement over "The Spirit Indestructible", which I thought was uninspired and even annoying in terms of production and vocal delivery. This one is pretty diverse and interesting

Btw, her husband didn't master it which means it doesn't sound crappy.

That album cover is a fucking disaster

The album is OK. I still find the production to be really cheap at times. The first half of the album is good. On a whole It's alright.

Did she sign a 360 deal with Live Nation?

Why is she using M's cover art person???

I like the album a lot, but haven't revisited it since I first listened to it. Just not my thing. I actually like the last album quite a bit. She doesn't have a bad album.

Forgettable. Enjoyed a song or two. If the album cover is intentionally one of the worst of all times then they accomplished that.

The music is as botched as her hairdo on the album cover...

That album cover is bloody awful. It looks like an advert for Dulux.

Sheryl-Crow-approved cover art. Haven't heard any of it but by the looks of it, she's a serious artist.

Well if not even the wife hired the biggest disaster in Madonna's career AKA Demo Castellón,  then maybe there's hope that the next Madonna album will finally sound good.

I didn't know she had an album out, but OMFG I had to comment on that album cover, it is priceless :scared:  :dead:

I liked some of the songs from her last album. Actually, I always like some songs of all her albums, but never the whole product. Folklore is stil her kost solid work to date for me.

I just read that Nelly and Demo got divorced.

Btw I agree that the cover is terrible.

Can't get Tap Dancing out of my head recently.

Has some decent songs. I read it sold extremely poor its first week.

She has become like an indie act now. Her commercial appeal vanished completely

sadly she did not use her momentum with her best album loose

She released a SPANISH ALBUM after Loose which wasn't a wise move at all to keep the general public interested in her. Why Nelly why! To me she's way better than Gwen Stefani.

Loose is indeed her best album, but I rarely see people talking about her debut. . .I love "My Love Grows Deeper Everyday" and "Scared of You". The album had a very distinct poppy Hip-Hop/R&B sound, it's different from anything else! Quite remarkable really.

I love Folklore as well.

"Explode" "Try" "Forca" and"Powerless"  all very good songs. She's vastly underrated.

I really adore the artwork of Folklore. There's a very memorable picture of her with a bicycle, carrying a bag of lentils or something like that. FOLK STUFF :inlove:

"Try" is THE BEST SONG THERE. YES. :wow:

I would love to have this sound explored by Madonna for her next studio album. . .Lisbon-Donna please!! @Marco

I love this song so much. Her debut, Folklore and Loose sound fantastic when you listen to them back to back. I highly recommend that experience because it truly makes you appreciate her artistic growth. I wasn’t a big fan of Mi Plan, The Spirit Indestructible or The Ride but there’s a few gems on each of those albums despite lacking the cohesiveness of her earlier work.

Madge moving to my home country was such a fantastic decision. We have such a rich culture and I’m sure she’ll serve an immersive and inspirational album. I’m so excited for M14!

The album cover pic doesn't load anymore so here's a new one. Let's celebrate it's awfulness.
