Conway has been basically banned from MSNBC and they solidly stuck to it unlike CNN.

CNN has become a total joke.  I agree whenever I would tune in during the election it was unbearable with like you said these large ass panels screaming and yelling at each other after every segment.

Yeah you should see comments on Twitter which are overwhelmingly slamming Anderson/CNN why they even had her back on. lol She's a proven serial lying, spinning, sloshed and medicated etc...looking/sounding sickly barbie doll meth face, Even if it was for a quick cheap 'ratings fix' she's completely pointless and useless. 0 credibility yet they have her on again :# lol.. Belongs only on a C list show like Wendy Williams or a Jerry Springer esque circus show.

Opinion | Donald Trump’s Firing of James Comey

The Editorial Board

The American people — not to mention the credibility of the world’s oldest democracy — require a thorough, impartial investigation into the extent of Russia’s meddling with the 2016 presidential election on behalf of Donald Trump and, crucially, whether high-ranking members of Mr. Trump’s campaign colluded in that effort.

By firing the F.B.I. director, James Comey, late Tuesday afternoon, President Trump has cast grave doubt on the viability of any further investigation into what could be one of the biggest political scandals in the country’s history.

The explanation for this shocking move — that Mr. Comey’s bungling of the investigation into Hillary Clinton’s private email server violated longstanding Justice Department policy and profoundly damaged public trust in the agency — is impossible to take at face value. Certainly Mr. Comey deserves all the criticism heaped upon him for his repeated missteps in that case, but just as certainly, that’s not the reason Mr. Trump fired him.

Mr. Trump had nothing but praise for Mr. Comey when, in the final days of the presidential campaign, he informed Congress that the bureau was reopening the investigation into Mrs. Clinton’s emails. “He brought back his reputation,” Mr. Trump said at the time. “It took a lot of guts.”

Of course, if Mr. Trump truly believed, as he said in his letter of dismissal, that Mr. Comey had undermined “public trust and confidence” in the agency, he could just as well have fired him on his first day in office.

Mr. Comey was fired because he was leading an active investigation that could bring down a president. Though compromised by his own poor judgment, Mr. Comey’s agency has been pursuing ties between the Russian government and Mr. Trump and his associates, with potentially ruinous consequences for the administration.

With congressional Republicans continuing to resist any serious investigation, Mr. Comey’s inquiry was the only aggressive effort to get to the bottom of Russia’s ties to the Trump campaign. So far, the scandal has engulfed Paul Manafort, one of Mr. Trump’s campaign managers; Roger Stone, a longtime confidant; Carter Page, one of the campaign’s early foreign-policy advisers; Michael Flynn, who was forced out as national security adviser; and Attorney General Jeff Sessions, who recused himself in March from the Russia inquiry after failing to disclose during his confirmation hearings that he had met twice during the campaign with the Russian ambassador to the United States.

We have said that Mr. Comey’s atrocious handling of the Clinton email investigation, which arguably tipped the election to Mr. Trump, proved that he could not be trusted to be neutral, and that the only credible course of action would be the appointment of a special prosecutor. Given all that has happened — the firing of the F.B.I. director, on top of Mr. Trump’s firing of the acting attorney general, Sally Yates, and his dismissal of nearly all United States attorneys — the need for such a prosecutor is plainer than ever. Because Mr. Sessions is recused, the decision to name a special prosecutor falls to Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, whose memo, along with a separate one by Mr. Sessions, provided Mr. Trump with the pretense to fire Mr. Comey.

This is a tense and uncertain time in the nation’s history. The president of the United States, who is no more above the law than any other citizen, has now decisively crippled the F.B.I.’s ability to carry out an investigation of him and his associates. There is no guarantee that Mr. Comey’s replacement, who will be chosen by Mr. Trump, will continue that investigation; in fact, there are already hints to the contrary.

The obvious historical parallel to Mr. Trump’s action was the so-called Saturday Night Massacre in October 1973, when President Richard Nixon ordered the firing of the special prosecutor investigating Watergate, prompting the principled resignations of the attorney general and his deputy. But now, there is no special prosecutor in place to determine whether the public trust has been violated, and whether the presidency was effectively stolen by a hostile foreign power. For that reason, the country has reached an even more perilous moment.

So the guy who's being investigated is allowed to fire the guy investigating him and replace him with someone who will drop the investigation. I guess that's US democracy in action. And what will be done about it? Nothing, as per.

And LOL at people still having a post-mortem about Hillary aka the worst democrat candidate in history. Spend some time figuring out how to FIX the mess your party is in for the future, or else watch the same scenario play out again.

Yeah that was one of if not the biggest CNN-esque silly F ups for Rachel. Not her style to do something so useless. Wanna believe it was just a miscall and not for a cheap ratings spike. She didn't need it as her ratings have been on fire since Trump won. Def should've known better.

This is how Trump responds. Nothing he does or says now shocks me but how on Earth can this Clown be the president.  How can anybody read this tweet of his and not be outraged. He is being investigated so that is when and why he fires Comey.  His ego and stupidity by expecting anyone to agree with his twisted excuse for logic is frightening. Worst part is, his rabid followers will probably back him and agree.

This is such a circus. All of them. He's treating the Oval Office as a sick reality show that people can't turn their heads away from. And the media is lapping it up.

He did this to shock. To confuse. To control the narrative and turn it back away from the disgusting health care bill they passed. Among other things.

It just keeps getting worse.

Just when people and the media think Bannon is getting 'phased out' ALL if not most of the disruptive shit going on now pulsates from his stench along w Trump himself. Conway is joined at the hip with Bannon and she's even popped back up from hell. They aint going anywhere obviously! Bannon is just super quiet/low key, anti media, conniving and sneaky. That skunky meth face is still very much a senior level nut bag running this shit show.

Trump bars U.S. media from White House meeting, but lets in Russian photographers

Jason Abbruzzese

Mashable•May 10, 2017

Why deal with that pesky, fake-news U.S. media when you have friendlier options available?

U.S. President Donald Trump held a meeting on Wednesday with two Russian government representatives, just a day after he fired the head of the FBI. The same FBI that was leading the investigation into the Trump campaign and administration's connections to Russia.

As controversy swirled, it might stand to reason that Trump would want to be as transparent as possible to avoid any additional criticism. Not so much.

U.S. photographers were apparently prevented from attending the meeting in the Oval Office. So how do we have pictures of it? The meeting was reported to be private, but photographers from the state-run TASS of Russia were there.

The journalists that are permanently stationed at the White House were not let in.

Trump met with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak. Kislyak has been of particular interest in the investigation into Trump associates. Undisclosed meetings with Kislyak resulted in the firing of Mike Flynn as National Security Advisor.

To sum things up, Trump held a closed-door meeting with Russian representatives — one of whom has been the subject of ongoing investigations regarding the Trump campaign — and kept out the independent U.S. press but allowed in journalists from Russia's state run media on the day after he fired the person who ran the organization that has been investigating his administration's ties to Russia.

So what happened at the meeting? All we have is a release from the White House. The rest is with Trump, a couple Russian diplomats, and a group of state-backed Russian "journalists."

The White House told a reporter for Politico that only "official" photographers were let in.

At least the Russians were willing to share a few pictures.

KING: There is one strategy we need to defeat Donald Trump

SHAUN KING

NEW YORK DAILY NEWS

Wednesday, May 10, 2017, 12:31 PM

I see a lot of people talking about impeachment this morning. I get it. Donald Trump is a scoundrel. This much is undeniable. His firing of FBI Director James Comey is undoubtedly suspicious. If Twitter polls were how we impeached people, we'd be in a good place right now. Sadly, that's not how this thing works.

If you want to dream of Trump's impeachment, that's fine, but don't waste a single second of your time fighting for such a thing right now. This Republican Congress is not going to impeach Donald Trump. They are all in so deep with him that impeaching him would be an indictment on themselves. They helped get him here. These are the same people, mind you, who blocked President Obama's Supreme Court nominee for nearly a year simply because they felt like it — effectively stealing the nominee from him. They don't have the guts, backbone, will or moral high ground to impeach Trump. They are down in the dirt with him.

Instead, for those of us who desperately want to defeat Trump, we should put nearly all of our eggs into one essential basket — voter turnout. Let me give you some context for just how dismal voter turnout is right now. This past weekend, France had its lowest voter turnout for a presidential election in a generation. Nearly 75% of voting age adults cast a ballot. That's down from a turnout of nearly 85% in France just a decade ago.

And still, the lowest turnout in decades for France is better than we've had in any presidential election in the United States since 1896. In fact, we haven't had a turnout of 60% or more in this country since the 1960s. The highest voter turnout in my lifetime was when Barack Obama was first elected in 2008 and even then only 57.1% of voting-age adults cast a ballot.

Here's how other countries compare: 87.2% of those eligible voted in Belgium, 85.2% in Turkey, 82.6% in Sweden and 80.4% in South Korea. In fact, voter turnout in the United States drastically trails almost every developed country in the world.

This is not OK. My gut reaction to learning these numbers was to say that we desperately need more voter registration drives, but the United States, in this past election crossed 200 million registered voters for the very first time. Yes, we should keep registering voters, but our problems are bigger than registration. Sorry to sound like a rhyming preacher, but our problems are voter education, inspiration, identification and easy access to the polls.

Every election — from school board seats to sheriffs, district attorneys and state representatives — all require far more voter education and awareness than we see right now. Turnout in those elections is even worse than presidential elections, but voters are simply not educated on who's who and exactly why those elections matter as much as they do.

Voters aren't inspired. Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton were the two least-liked presidential candidates in American history. Of course voter turnout was terrible in 2016. And as much as people despised Donald Trump, fear did not seem to be a tremendous motivator. Obama had the highest turnout in recent history because his candidacy inspired voters and we must get back to that.

Most nations around the world either make voting on weekends or make Election Day a national holiday. Of course they do! Only our dumb country puts voting on Tuesday and still requires everybody to go to school and work like normal. It's foolish. Not only that, but new voter ID laws often represent one more impediment to easy voting for everyday Americans.

The best model we have in the country for drastically increasing voter turnout is Oregon, where turnout for the past election was 78.9% — and that was down from their record highs of over 85% (although more people voted in this past election than ever before.) Oregon has done two things that we should fight for state by state. Residents are automatically registered to vote there, and residents vote by mail. It's actually the only way to vote there and it clearly works.

If we had 80% voter turnout across the country, not only would Trump lose in 2020, I don't think we'd ever have another person like him win again.

^ the best way would be to make voting compulsory.  It is compulsory in Australia and gets everyone involved.  Always on a Saturday too.  If you don't vote and don't give a valid reason, you are fined.

Are the American public offended that their press are banned from taking photos and attending White House meetings but the Russian press are allowed ?  They should be. Talk about racism towards your own people. Trump is completely corrupt in how he is manipulating who can have access to covering his meetings.  It goes against the freedom of the press to report what they witness.
