Fully agree with you about Warren and esp Booker now. Initially I thought it would be all about Warren in 2020 but not anymore. Booker started off very promising but he's turning out to be the same old same old talking points and shtick that we've seen before. Again...Obama lite. Dems need a non divisive person which Warren absolutely is. Plus, she is NOT well liked by a lot of people even within her own party. The GOP despises her so...yeah, even though I do think she's got the fire like a dragon and as of now wants to positively run, do not think she's the one esp for those crucial parts of the country. With you on a Marc Cuban, or a Howard Schultz. There's many people but needs to be someone 200% non Clinton and as clean and non stale as possible.

The country is so polarized, there is no such thing as a "non-divisive" person. No matter who the Democrats nominate will be hated. Even if it was Bernie. Hillary had very high ratings among a large swath of the electorate when she was SOS, but look what happened. All it takes is a Democrat to say "raise taxes on the wealthy, and give women the freedom to choose" and they are instantly hated by 47% of the country.

After Obama, I don't think there is anyone who can bring us together. All that's left is a great catastrophe to wake up the dumb asses or some major miracle of erasing Fox News as the brain-washing network of choice.

That said, I was once a huge Warren supporter but I do agree I don't know if she's got the chops right now. She's an outstanding Senator but too academia to be an inspiring leader. I don't see any strong Presidential candidates in the Democratic Party right now and it's alarming. I hate to say this, but we might be under GOP rule until 2024. Pretty sure Trump won't make it that long, but Pence will.

If Trump goes just after his second year in office, Pence is eligible to be President for up to 10 years.

I am not willing to give Pence that much time. I seriously doubt America would have 12 years of all that nonsense. Of course, I also thought there were people smart enough NOT to vote for Trump and here we are. Meh. I will probably be dead by then anyway.

Donald Trump's daughter Ivanka was met with groans as she defended her father's attitude towards women at the G20 women's summit in Berlin. Speaking alongside German chancellor Angela Merkel and IMF chief Christine Lagarde, she said her father was a "tremendous champion of supporting families".

:rotfl: at Merkel's priceless expression

She's a legitimate member of Trump's cabinet. I'm sure everyone was like UGH but had no choice

Trump lashes out after judge bats down another immigration order

Colin Campbell

Yahoo News

April 26, 2017

President Trump lashed out early Wednesday after the federal court system stymied yet another one of his executive orders on immigration.

“First the Ninth Circuit rules against the ban & now it hits again on sanctuary cities-both ridiculous rulings. See you in the Supreme Court!” he wrote in an early morning tweet.

In a Tuesday ruling, U.S. District Judge William Orrick issued a temporary injunction against Trump’s executive order to withhold funding from “sanctuary cities,” or places that limit the extent to which local enforcement can comply with orders from federal immigration officials. Orrick is a district judge and does not sit on the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals as Trump’s tweet indicated, but the 9th Circuit would hear any appeal on the case from the White House.

President Trump’s administration also issued a blistering, 400-word statement casting doubt on the judicial system’s role in U.S. government. The White House twice referred to Orrick as “unelected” and declared that his “ruling undermines faith in our legal system.” Both Trump’s tweets and the statement accused his critics of “shopping” for favorable courts.

Orrick’s decision cited Trump’s past statement, referring to his “sanctuary city” executive order as a “weapon” to coerce local governments into complying with the president’s more hardline view of illegal immigration.

“Federal funding that bears no meaningful relationship to immigration enforcement cannot be threatened merely because a jurisdiction chooses an immigration enforcement strategy of which the President disapproves,” Orrick wrote.

The ruling was only the latest setback in Trump’s unilateral attempts to shift immigration policy. In February, a federal judge blocked Trump’s travel ban, which temporarily suspended the U.S. refugee program and barred entry to the U.S. from seven Muslim-majority countries.

The 9th Circuit rejected the White House’s request for an immediate reversal. “SEE YOU IN COURT, THE SECURITY OF OUR NATION IS AT STAKE!” Trump responded on Twitter.

Then, as now, Trump questioned the authority of the court system. He referred to the Seattle justice first as a “so-called judge.”

“Just cannot believe a judge would put our country in such peril. If something happens blame him and court system. People pouring in. Bad!” he tweeted in February.

Last month, federal judges in Hawaii and Maryland put the brakes on Trump’s revised travel ban, which was crafted to avoid some of the objections of the first.

And the president again lashed out. “It’s a political decision and we’re going to see them in court,” he said of the Hawaii judge’s ruling, “and I look forward to doing it.”

TrumpGa is equally as pathetic and desperate as she is. He's in FULL frantic discount, cheap stunt mode now. To avoid that 100th day of getting jack shit done, today his garbage team announced doing 'the biggest tax reform in history', new mega flop attempt at replacing Obamacare (even more dreadful than the other attempt) and Ivanka oh princess Ivanka in Germany showing his flawless record for 'woman's rights' etc...lmao I just can't anymore with this sack of orange shit lol. Oh..but he's the best and best team since Reagan :# lol. That said, think I loathe his repulsive sucker rust belt fans/voters possibly more than him lol. They're the only reason the world prob. won't be around by the next election. He'll take the whole world down before he even considers the thought of 'losing' in 2020.

Did you read his Twitter meltdown this morning?

Terrible!

I find his twitter rantings terrifying and unprofessional.  The sign of someone who is not fit to run a brothel let alone the most powerful country in the world.

No vote on healthcare yet again! lmao. Possibly the biggest floppage first 100 days ever. These GOP turds control *everything and yet cant get shit done. Oh...but give the guy a chance...not a typical politician...says it like it is!  lool. I seriously wanna smack all the dead eyed white trash who after 100 days of promising utopia for them are STILL in epic denial when I see them interviewed. Anyone w/ an 1/8 of a brain knows he's a scam disaster who has NO idea what he's doing. Even if there's a nuclear war he'll still retain at least 30-40% of the country which is pretty horrific but yet not totally surprising lol. Just confirms that many people ARE racists, bigots and classless. Simple as that. It's all a personal connection thing. Their love for Trump, his personality and 'what' he stands for. Not their paychecks, healthcare or being decent. :/

This is the most absurd comparison ever.  I would rant about context but I think anyone with one braincell could figure this one out.  Fox News is the WORST!

^ The way he continually uses terms such as fake news and attacks the media is both cowardly and manipulative.  Also by simply tweeting his bulldust, he bypasses discussion and rams home the lies he wants by claiming the media always make things up about him.  That way, his conspiracy theory loving supporters just believe what comes out of his ugly mouth and don't see him having to answer to anyone negative.

It's a total distraction. He knows that by shrouding himself in a victim cloak and blaming the media for everything wins him accolades with his deplorable supporters. They don't watch the 'fake news' and get all of their information from him and his cheerleaders on talk radio. It's absolutely stunning. He's able to bulldoze polices that will effectively destroy these individuals and their well being, yet, they're attracted to this man and support him like rabid hounds.

He very well could be reelected and serve two terms and by the time a democrat comes into office, his policies will have destroyed the livelihoods of his own supporters, but they're be brainwashed into thinking it'll be the Dem who did it and the cycle will repeat itself for decades to come.

I'm usually a pretty optimistic person, truly. But this mans election is going to have devastating consequences on our country. And the world for that matter. And not just in terms of policy. I'm talking in terms of basic human decency and decorum.
