What is your biggest Madonna fan GRAMMAR pet peeve?

44 posts in this topic

Is there anything that drives you crazy when you see other Madonna fans write it?

For me, it's when fans add an "E" on the end of "Blond" in Blond Ambition. It was so intentionally masculine and integral to the overall gender-bending theme of the show (and a play on "Blind Ambition"). It makes me wanna scream.

Anyone else? Do I need to get a life?

Oops! Sorry! Ok, this is one:

It bugs me when her fans parrot her constantly like, "they just don't understand her humor"

if you need a "how to react booklet", it's just not funny. Lenny Bruce didn't need an instructual manual handed out prior to performance, nor did Joan Rivers, Richard Pryor....or writer Dorothy Parker, etc...

The horrendous YAS instead of yes, because yes it's too common and regular for social media addicts hence let's fuck it up by spelling it YAS.

I hate when Madonna fans or not, write her name as Madona.

When people confuse Bedtime Stories with Bedtime Story

Yes, or 'Maddona'...

Or when they claim Madonna is a stage name...

A friend of mine says "LIKE A PLAYER" refering to both the album and the song. :rotfl:

I've discussed this issue with other friends we have in common and they've all picked on it, everytime he says it we just look at each other :chuckle:

We will correct him, someday... or not  :noway:

When Madonna fans think everything is 100% perfect right now regarding sale figures, chart positions, promotion, the way her albums are handled and her reputation and relavancy with the younger generation and the fans who think we are still in the True Blue/Like A Prayer Madonnamania 80s hype and how that's stil going on right now.
