Rebel Heart Tour DVD/Blu-ray: RELEASE DATE September 15th

Recommended Posts

While I highly doubt it won't get some sort of release, I disagree this is oddly long. I don't know if it's still available on demand or showing on Showtime, but it just doesn't make sense to wait this long after the tour ended when the hype is dying down. Unless they have insight that really the only people who will buy the DVD are the hardcore fans that are going to buy it one way or the other whenever it comes out. But I want it now!!!

MDNA aired on Epix on June 22, 2013 and was released commercially in September. That's two months after and it was announced early August. I'm actually thinking Rebel Heart has been delayed due to the adoption, which should always be a priority! She was scheduled and cancelled Jimmy Fallon so I think that was supposed to be regarding the tour DVD.

I just hope we get something soon!

MDNA ended in December 2012 and aired in June 2013. That's six months.

Rebel Heart ended in March 2016 and aired in December 2016. That's nine months.

Confessions ended in September 2006 and aired in November 2006. That's two months.

Different tours follow different timelines. Don't fret.

You could have said that about any of her tours that have been released.

Is the the Twilight Zone?

She always releases something concerning the tours on DVD in 1 form or another... this tour will be no different. It's coming #soon

Maybe the DVD will come in occasion of the 2nd anniversary of the Rebel Heart album... 10 March 2017?

Madonna has never been to anniversaries. I doubt she knows when were her albums released.

I thought they said previously it would be released as part of a larger project, whatever that means. Maybe they have to finish the rest of the project.

It would be nice if they released it with an EP of covers such as If I Had a Hammer and Behind the Bars!

I still think it's possible to release a 3-disc combo together with the BAT and RIT. That would be a really nice treat for us fans to survive the years with no music that are ahead of us.

I love your idea, not the "years with no music that are ahead of us" part though.

I think she'll include: Secret project, TOAC1 and/or 2, Her raising Malawi work or doc, RHT, RHT doc. Hopefully! And that EP you are mentioning would be amazing.

Yes. I am really hoping for that "bigger project". But I need the tour on DVD...NOW!

she should have film this tour with 360° technologies. Can you image how amazing would be to see her tour like if you were there?

There's a little thing called TV licensings/rights

As it's happened for every single concert home video release

Now we don't know the terms of the licensing nor the timing, since it's been a couple of months since the Showtime airing, it's too soon to cry over it

Other than we want it fast because it is fab

As long as they don't have a repeat of the technical issues of the MDNA dvd release then it's all going to be fine

I'd be happy with a decent LIVE Blu-Ray in Full HD. Something we don't get since S&S (minus the vocals)

It took a good while for The MDNA Tour studio versions to leak.
