You mean people were so fed up that they lost their mind and went to vote for the first person who said that the Government fucked up?! Jeez the US must be populated by brain surgeons. Not.

No, that's not what happened, but keep on with your simplistic ideology, personal insults, and limited worldview and you will keep on not understanding why other people make different choices.  Have you even ever traveled outside the US?  Lived in a different country?  Traveled the globe?

First world freedoms shouldn't be purchased at the expense of those in the third world.  With the mess of foreign and economic policy that Obama's driven us down, there won't be any human rights to fight for soon enough.  For someone with a Constitutional law background, he's had the most un-Constitutional style of governing ever.

The biggest thing Obama forgot was why people voted for him in the first place.  People voted for him precisely because they didn't want Clinton or a dynasty.  After the mess of his presidency, the only thing he could do was tell us that the very person that people didn't want, even within his own party, was the only choice left.  It's an election, not a selection.  It wasn't HRC's "turn".  She couldn't even get nominated within her own party without the Democrats rigging things against Bernie Sanders.  That was their biggest downfall, trying to sell the same old used car that didn't work before and would never work now.  With his endorsement of her to secure his own legacy, he completely sold out everything that people believed in him for going in.

And for anyone who believes HRC is anything like Madonna when she's the most establishment, career politician, focus-group quoting PC bandwagoner there is and definitely NOT a feminist related to anything other than her actual gender... you've been blinded far more than those who can think for themselves.

If you think Donald Trump is working for the interest for the impoverished country I beg you to reconsider your opinion. Didn't you hear Trump himself? America first.

Im sick of hearing about Obama. You keep attacking Obama to what use i might wonder. Aren't you seeing what the orange one is doing? Discuss that, please.

You've brought up some valid points regarding Obama but you've been extremely thin with specifics regarding his polices. Just stating that his presidency was a 'mess' and bringing up this Clinton/Obama dynasty as if there wasn't a Bush before and after Bill Clinton just sounds partisan. I'm not defending Clinton in the least and I'm furious with Democrats for blindly lining up behind her without letting any other credible candidate run in, but let's give credit where credit is due, shall we?

I'm sure that Trump wishes to build his own 'Trump-dynasty' as well. Ivanka is a 'trump-queen' on the making already.

I haven't been thin on policy at all, but to go into it would be more than most people would bother to read.  People didn't like Bush rightly because of his interventionist foreign policy and imposing the American way of life on other countries, and what does Obama do?  Cozy up to those very foreign governments and fund them instead, further oppressing the people who actually live there.  From the Iran nuclear deal, to the ransom for terrorists, policy on Cuba, how he blew up the Middle East, which actually led to the rise of ISIS.  Have you not woken up and seen what a mess the world is in today vs. 8 years ago?  It didn't happen overnight.  It's been building, due to his very policies.  Bush was bad, but somehow Obama managed to be even worse, and at the same time presided over the most corrupt joke of a Justice department ever.  Under Obama, laws are different for different people.  Sentences and treason mean nothing and were commuted and pardoned like never before.  Despite a Constitutional law background, he sold out everything he ever stood for by trampling over American Constitutional rights to enact his personal policy agenda for the sake of having a "legacy" despite it not being in anyone's interests but his.  His economic policy was equally bad, including trying to push through TPP, which was opposed by even his own party.

To me, Obama doesn't deserve any credit outside of his social progress.  He certainly doesn't deserve a Nobel Peace Prize, which is a complete joke for him.

Wake up, and realize this wasn't a sudden thing.  The Democrats have been losing power for the last 6 years all due to the way Obama was the very first to be all talk and no action.  Nobody's saying any side is perfect, but to not even understand why people might think differently is being deliberately obtuse.

Seriously this is something I just don't understand in a casual political debate:

i was telling my mother about Trump and his policies and she went on a foul mouthed rant on Obama. Yes my conservative family likes Trump and they're a bit racist as well. :( Anyways, people just refuse to acknowledge any wrong doing from the current administration because their rethoric is Obamas was worse. But these people are conservative. These people are Republicans. Of course they would attack Obama and praise Trump or just give him the benefit of the doubt.

Donald Trump is a narcissistic pervert (also known as malignant narcissism. LOOK IT UP). He fits the description perfectly and it's scary.

Small lesson of Psychology: the narcissistic perverts and his accomplices

Small lesson of Psychology: the narcissistic perverts and his accomplices
Narcissists perverts have no respect for others, that they consider relevant to their needs of power, objects of authority, or their interests. It make promises that he will not be knowing that promises only bind those who believe. Caught red-handed lie, they can deny with a plumb out of the ordinary...
Charity well ordered always starting with oneself, they know perfectly and fiercely defend their interests which they still have a very clear vision. They try to enjoy every moment of the opportunities, of all encountered people, and these people are exploitative and systematically to take, as far as possible, benefit for them. As for all Narcissists, it is due. They admit no relitigation and no reproach.

Narcissists perverts are unable to love others. In their vast majority, they have no "humanity", no human feeling, no State of soul, no affect. They are cold and calculating, totally indifferent to the suffering of others. But while, more often, unable to have human feelings, they simulate the fact to be filled, in appearance, good feelings and a genuine empathy for others.

Disappointment cause them anger or resentment with a desire for revenge. This explains the destructive rage seized them at separations. When a perverse perceives a narcissistic injury (defeat, rejection), he feels an unlimited desire for revenge. This is not, as in an angry individual, a passenger reaction and haphazard, it is an inflexible, relentless grudge which the perverse applies all its forces and its reasoning capabilities. And then, it will constantly to satisfy his purpose of revenge.
Narcissists perverts need often hate to exist. Hatred can be a very powerful engine at home.

Often, the narcissistic perverts is someone that has never been recognized in his own personality, who has been victim of narcissistic investment important on the part of parents and was forced to build a set of personalities (dummy) to give the illusion of exist.

Because of a personal history, where he were, for example the arm of one of their parents, perverts could not be achieved. They then observe with envy what others that they have to achieve.
Narcissists perverts are never sincere, always lying. They can also tell the truth that lie with aplomb. Most often, they perform sensitive falsification of the truth, that might not really be lies, and even less delusional constructions. Mix the lie, the sincerity and frankness - that is, for the other, very destabilizing - part of their game.

Denial (of their defects, on the other) allows them to "to love" (and to always love more). They lie to themselves, on their real value, on what they actually are. At certain times, they end up believing their lies, to others, they know. It is the ambivalence of the pathological liar pathology. The narcissistic perverts is a "born actor". His lies with training became second nature to him.
His palette of personalities, characters of feigned emotion is amazing. The range of its set of actor is infinite, constantly renewed.
It most often gives the image of a perfectly calm person, is never frustrating.
Most often, the narcissistic perverts has an extreme fighting spirit and a capacity of remarkable rebound. His megalomania, his narcissism, or even his paranoia, reinforce this combativeness. Often immensely proud, even megalomaniacal, narcissistic perverts like win at all costs, without end, and cannot admit, only once, losing. It is ready for anything, even to the most devious blows, to never lose. The perverts is like a spoiled child. If it encounters no resistance, he will go still further.
Over time this trend, which can provide a dynamic success for a time, becomes an addiction. Signs of his megalomania, it strengthens the back, and leads him to not be able to tolerate any frustration or contradiction.

"Slander, vilify, it will always something! (Beaumarchais).
The narcissistic perverts has talent defame without air there touching, cautiously, giving the appearance of objectivity and the more seriously, as if it was only reporting words that are not the endorsed. Often it is not clear count, but merely veiled, insidious allusions. At long, it will succeed to sow doubt, without have never pronounced a sentence that could fall under the blow of a charge of defamation.

Go, good continuation.

I m most horrified for Europe too. I have hope in Germans they won't vote for far right, but the French? If Marie Le Pen is chosen for a president of France, EU would die a slow death (or quick) and so will the idea of unified Europe. We ll have again small nations working against one another rather than lots of nations working together as it is nowadays. I understand we are facing a lot of problems and we have to work on border control/security of EU but far right and nationalism (in the bad sense) is not the answer. Hope French ppl doesn't disappoint, I think the Germans won't. We have the Dutch elections too :(

Marine Le Pen explained the euro currency makes everything more expensive in France, and if elected, she'd try to bring back the franc. This is one of the reasons why she wants a FREXIT‚ÄĒout of the European Union!

she doesn't explain anything - she says it makes it more expensive but that is just an "alternative fact", as many other things she just simplifies. If you compare how expensive things are now compared to when the euro was introduced, that is for sure true, but that is simply inflation, and let's not forget wages usually rise as well.  The french franc was not really famous for its stability either. And one of the reasons she wants out of the EU is, that she doesn't accept certain rules set up by others and wants to have a "France first" policy. She also sits in the european parliament (or actually not that often), and she also misused european money for parliamentary work for her own party. Isn't it a coincidence her party is also funded monetarily by russia as well.

So far......

Mortgages for the middle class are going UP UP UP!

Back alley, coat hanger abortions for our youth should be making a comeback any time now!

Native Americans are being pushed from their land.........AGAIN

BUT....

My biggest concern was that watching the inauguration and seeing the pictures, I just knew something wasn't right. Obama manipulated everything to make it seem like nobody was there. :( Well.......THANK GOD this most pressing of matters has been straightened out IMMEDIATELY with Conway's "alternative facts". Phew.......I've slept so much better ever since I got the news! I may have given the Trump campaign a hard time but I see now they have their priorities intact! What more can we ask for?

See this is why there is no point in attempting to have a rational discussion or explain to you why people might have different choices.  Freedom of speech goes both ways in a true democracy, not when it is just suits your political view.  The excessively PC culture is why nobody can have a reasonable discussion about policy issues without automatically being slapped with a negative label that just unnecessarily simplistically boxes people into a stereotype.  But feel free to continue doing that and not understanding other people's views.

In a 2 party-system, there are 2 choices.  We'll just have to agree to disagree that HRC would have been a better alternative or that another 8 years of Obama style governing would have done less damage, because those were the two choices we had.

I am aware that people should exercise their freedom of expression which way they like and stand by their beliefs but that's exactly the problem of some people who would rather push an agenda of division and hate instead of an agenda of integration and acceptance. I mean the KKK can exercise their right to be racist and parade around the streets dressed in white gowns and silly hats and burn crosses but to what use? To profess and incite hate against other human beings? Ultimately we need to be very careful in choosing what to stand for. We need to take into consideration the lives of other human beings and never regress from human and civic rights.

The Netherlands 'counters' Trump with international abortion fund

The Dutch government is leading the charge to counter the impact of America's plan to halt foreign aid to any organisations which support abortion in any way.

The Dutch Government is planning to launch an international fund to finance access to birth control and abortion in developing countries, in order to fill the gap left after the Trump administration announced it would no longer fund any overseas aid organisations which discussed abortion.

‚ÄúBanning abortions does not result in fewer abortions,‚ÄĚ Dutch Trade and Development Minister Lilianne Ploumen said in a statement.

‚ÄúIt leads to more irresponsible practices in back rooms and more maternal deaths.‚ÄĚ

The World Health Organisation estimates that 22 million women experience unsafe abortions every year, the vast majority of whom are in developing countries.

A 2008 report from the organisation estimated that nearly 50,000 women die from complications in such procedures annually.

Minister Ploumen said that the Trump administration's decision risked undermining recent advances in women's health.

"We must not let this happen," she said.

"We need to compensate for this financial blow as much as possible, with a broad-based fund - which governments, businesses and civil society organisations can donate to - so that women can remain in control of their own bodies."

The Minister said her intention was to counter the impact of the funding ban on women and girls around the world

Asked whether the Australian government would contribute to such a fund, a spokesperson for Foreign Minister Julie Bishop told SBS the government was committed to the protection and promotion of sexual and reproductive health rights.

"Access to sexual and reproductive health, particularly family planning, remains critical to women’s empowerment, improving gender equality and reducing maternal and child mortality," the spokesperson said in a statement.

The minister's office declined to comment on the Trump administration's policy.

Known as the global gag rule, the funding ban was first instituted under the Reagan White House in 1984.

The ban applies to any organisation which provides¬†abortion¬†services, information, counseling or referrals ‚Äď even if those programs are funded by other donors.

President Bill Clinton rescinded the gag rule in 1993, President Bush reinstated it in 2001, and President Obama lifted it again in 2009.

During the election campaign, Mr Trump made no secret of his opposition to abortion.

President Trump pledged to appoint justices to the Supreme Court who would overturn Roe v Wade, the pro-choice judgment which legalised abortion in the United States in 1973.

Here we go again pushing your single issue agenda.  Continue on in your political echo chamber, I'm done wasting my time trying to explain things here.  Obama was the very definition of regressing from human and civic rights outside of the United States.  We'll just have to disagree that his agenda is better than the one we have now.
