What's that?

Search #pizzagate and avoid the mass media articles saying it's false. Go to reddit and 4chan.

But before getting into it, here's a very illustrative quote that isn't directly linked to the case but it helps to understand and get into it with an open mind:

What you have to understand, John, is that sometimes there are forces and events too big, too powerful, with so much at stake for other people or institutions, that you cannot do anything about them, no matter how evil or wrong they are and no matter how dedicated or sincere you are or how much evidence you have. This is simply one of the hard facts of life you have to face.

Former CIA director, Cercle member and Opus Dei sympathizer William Colby giving advice to his friend Senator John DeCamp, urging him to cease his investigation into the Franklin child abuse affair and to write a book about his experiences (‘The Franklin Coverup’, 2nd edition, foreword).

Trump Picks Antigay Activist Betsy DeVos for Secretary of Education

DeVos is also a proponent of school vouchers, which would divert taxpayer funds to private schools, including religious ones.

Donald Trump has announced another cabinet pick that’s distressing to LGBT people and progressives in general — billionaire and antigay activist Betsy DeVos for secretary of Education.

DeVos and her husband, Richard DeVos, Jr., derive their wealth from Michigan-based Amway, a company cofounded by his father that specializes in direct sales of home, health, and beauty products. Members of the DeVos family are major donors to right-wing causes, including the fight against marriage equality.

Betsy and Richard DeVos headed the effort to amend Michigan’s constitution to ban same-sex marriage and gave $200,000 to the campaign, Raw Story notes. Voters approved the amendment in 2004; it was struck down, along with other states’ anti–marriage equality laws, by the U.S. Supreme Court last year.

The Douglas and Maria DeVos Foundation, funded by Amway president Doug DeVos, Richard’s brother, donated $500,000 to the National Organization for Marriage in 2009 as it fought marriage equality in several states. The DeVos patriarch, Richard DeVos Sr., has also given to anti–marriage equality efforts, and back in the 1980s, serving on President Reagan’s AIDS commission, had told people with the disease, “You are responsible for your actions too, you know. Conduct yourself properly.”

Betsy DeVos’s mother, Elsa Prince Broekhuizen, donated to the Michigan anti–marriage equality campaign as well as the movement to pass Proposition 8, which revoked marriage equality in California until it was struck down in court, reports Daily Kos. Broekhuizen has served on the boards of anti-LGBT groups including the Family Research Council and Focus on the Family. Her first husband, the late Edgar Prince, was a cofounder of the Family Research Council.

Betsy DeVos is also not exactly a friend to public education. An advocate of school choice, she believes government bodies should provide vouchers to parents who want to send their children to private schools but can’t afford them. “We know that millions of children, mostly low-income and minority children, remain trapped in K-12 schools that are not meeting their needs,” she said in September, when Trump released an education plan heavy on school choice, Politicoreports. “We applaud the Trump campaign’s focus on school choice and laying out common-sense proposals to help all children access a quality education.”

Opponents of the strategy, however, say it will undermine public education, and they strongly criticized Trump’s choice of DeVos. “DeVos has no meaningful experience in the classroom or in our schools,” said Randi Weingarten, president of the American Federation of Teachers, in a prepared statement. “The sum total of her involvement has been spending her family’s wealth in an effort to dismantle public education in Michigan. Every American should be concerned that she would impose her reckless and extreme ideology on the nation.”

Lily Eskelsen Garcia, president of the nation’s other leading teachers union, the National Education Association, also issued a statement denouncing DeVos’s nomination. “She has consistently pushed a corporate agenda to privatize, de-professionalize and impose cookie-cutter solutions to public education,” Eskelsen Garcia said. “By nominating Betsy DeVos, the Trump administration has demonstrated just how out of touch it is with what works best for students, parents, educators and communities.”

Other critics of DeVos’s nomination included Rev. Barry Lynn, executive director of Americans United for Separation of Church and State, who issued a statement calling it “an insult to public education.” He continued, “Private school vouchers violate the fundamental principle of religious freedom because they fund religious education with taxpayer dollars. This is indeed a dark day for public education in America.”

DeVos wasn’t always in Trump’s corner, notes The Washington Post. She and her family initially supported Marco Rubio in the Republican presidential primaries, and after he left the race, DeVos voted for John Kasich when she served as a delegate to the Republican National Convention. But today she tweeted that she is “honored to work with the President-elect on his vision to make American education great again. The status quo in ed is not acceptable.”

Grand Rapids is the anchor of West Michigan and the 2nd biggest city in our state. Kalamazoo is roughly 40-45min south so many of us locals head up there for their bars, restaurants, etc. It's a FABULOUS city. Much of it can be attributed to the DeVos family actually.

THAT BEING SAID.

They're wretched. They mask their bigotry through their community involvement. I'm completely horrified by this pick. Mostly because of her absolute lack of knowledge when it comes to the education system. Especially since that entire fucking family went to PRIVATE SCHOOLS.

I would be surprised if she got confirmed to be honest.

Always worrying when people who favour "private education"  have too much say.  They always want to take funds from public schooling and divert a lot of it to private and religious schools.  The public school system get less funds thus become more disadvantaged in what they can offer and that creates a greater class and social division.   Already can see a pattern in the Trump ideology.  The man is a millionaire and has the ideology of one.

What's the purpose of the recount? Hillary is already ahead by nearly 2 million votes nationwide. Is it just to prove there was some sort of "tampering" with the voting process?

Hillary lost those three states by a few thousand votes and she would've won the general election had she won.

Maybe they think she can win with a recount? Somehow?

Said this a few x but this is ALL the Mercer family/Bannon- not specifically Trump himself at all. Yet people and esp that family wanna put it all on him which the semi retarded low info GP will believe! lol for at least the next 4 years. Was out tonight and actually spoke to at least a few Trump supporters. Of course all totally white, in a fog and so angry and whipped over, barely able to recite/ramble the same angry, crusty bitter talking point his zombies repeat in a loop.

Now, eagerly awaiting for those mental midgets to LOSE their Grinders and Scruffs etc..very very soon and see how they 'cope' and deal and justify it all. I'm not and have 0 desire to be on those app sites or whatever but a lot of them are  yet insist its all (still) a left hit job :/ lool.

I had the weirdest dream last night, Trump was out and a democrat was going to be president. And read that Madonna was chosen to be Secretary of Education.

I don't get this voucher thing for private schools. Low income families get those vouchers from the state or government and can use those vouchers to pay for their children attending a private school instead of a public one? That means, the government is subsidizing private schools with tax payers money? This is insane on so many levels. And do they realize this is a social time bomb, the tension this will create in society? I suppose middle income families are not entitled to those vouchers? That means their children have to attend public schools that are supposedly providing a worse education than private schools. Yet their tax money provides a supposedly better education for children from low income families? If this does not result in further prejudice.

Nice to see capitalism is still working just fine. Socializing private interests. Now combine that with the deregulations that Trump promised. And the enormous corporate tax cuts. This is going to be a disaster for the public household of the U.S.

I finally started to see the big picture which is possibly more depressing than I thought it was. Trump is basically a puppet in the hands of the Republican Party. I'm sure all these people he's been allotting to the various jobs were already part of the deal. I don't think it will be that drastic in the sense that all these so called anti LGBT politicians won't have sufficient power to establish new laws. I mean are they really going to brainwash peeps into thinking being gay is a sexual/mental illness? I think people shouldn't worry about that. Let's not forget how politics is being played out today and in the end those people need the support of all Americans to stay in their position. But I still sense something is not right. The situation with Russia and Europe  and more specifically the NATO for example. It would be historic if the NATO will be dismantled. Judging from what's going on in Europe it might possibly be the next step.. if that happens it will give free reign to Putin to advance into Europe with no substantial threat once the USA is out.

They all are. That is just plain obvious. You are made to believe you have a choice, but in fact you don't have any say in politics. Anyone from the republican and democratic parties are stooges from the very wealthy 1% that controls the entire planet.

Yes, I couldn't stress that enough.

Reddit is burning to the ground as we speak. Spez (Steve Huffman,Reddit CEO) has really fucked himself with this latest stunt. They will lose SO MUCH revenue if the destroy the most active and fastest growing subreddit. Yeah, it's a private company with their own TOS....blah blah..spare me. If Huffman or Reddit are sued, they cannot claim Section 230 immunity from a lawsuit. That's what brought down Gawker. In legal terms, Huffman has exposed Reddit to liability.

Oh well, alternatives have already been activated.  These folks never learn.

Not a shoutout, I was just trying to give you more info because you asked.

I don't believe it either but the fact that the discussion , trying to expose possible child abusers, was censored and removed while Reddit allows entire subs dedicated to pedophilia on their site shows something stinks.

Anyway....Off topic...now back to the hatefest.
