He didn't actually bother to vote, funnily enough.

Nah, he won't forego the chance to occupy the White House.

You're a Latina, but you're not Mexican correct?

I'm white. Both sides of my family came from Poland in early 1900s.

I don't think it's that. I think they see themselves as political refugees, not illegal aliens.

My theory is that Obama warming up to Cuba's government lost Florida for Hillary.

Cubans would vote for Hitler himself if he kept that embargo going.

Why would Cubans support the embargo?

Worse: he did not bother to vote as he proudly admitted on the first Brexit thread, yet bullied everyone else opinion on the referendum result.

Yeah I know, them too. Why would they support it? This is interesting.

I suppose because those who left did so to flee the government for various reasons, and felt the regime should be put down in some way. But things are changing:

According to the FIU poll, 68 percent of Miami-Dade Cuban Americans favor engaging with the Cuban government. Even those who arrived in the United States in the early waves, who tend to be more hard-lined, are starting to change their opinions.

The whole article is worth a read.

I hate pulling the race card, but it's really, really easy to feel inferior and just end up shutting up and feeling worthless. I'm gay, arab AND Mexican. Three of the worst kinds of minority during these elections. I feel emotionally battered after these elections.

I'm NOT a victim, I hate sounding like a victim, I will never victimize myself, but it was just really, really, really hard to hold your head up high this time around.

I just used him as an example. It happened to me a lot this time around. Working at a Mexican newspaper. I never respond to people's comments, but I can't even write an article about plain ol' facts, no opinion, nothing, just facts, without having a wave of people comment on our articles with things like "FUCKING BEANERS" and "TRUMP IS GOING TO NUKE YOU MOTHER FUCKERS".

Ulizos, I understand you. Who you are should not detract you from speaking up and hold your head up high, especially in the face of adversity - be it on line by an Internet bully (...) or in your daily real life. I know you are not a victim, just never allow anyone to shut you down for their own superiority complex, or worse in the case of bullies, for their own entertainment.

TTIP  (Trans-Atlantic Trade and Investment Partnership) is dead. EU has accepted defeat. All before he's even sworn in. This will get interesting.

According to several stories I've worked on and according to what Mexico's secretary of finance said, they're planning on passing the TPP without the U.S.

All of the countries that are part of the TPP already have healthy tread deals with the U.S. so they don't really care if the U.S. is part of it or not.

He said that the peso, which tanked, will completely offset the tariffs that Trump has threatened to impose on Mexican industry to build the wall and that the only thing that's going to happen is that car and TV prices will go up in the U.S. In other words, it's U.S. consumers who will end up paying for the wall if that really is his plan.

Also, he said that, again, the only people who are going to suffer if he decides to impose sanctions on Visa applicants (basically jack up the price for Mexicans to acquire U.S. tourist visas) are Americans since guess who the U.S.'s #1 tourists are:

This would have never passed some national parliaments anyway with so many elections coming up. And how has Europe accepted defeat? The fact remains this trade deal was way more in favor of the U.S. and most people in Europe hated it for all the concessions made for U.S. corporations. I have a hard time to find anything positive coming out of it for Europe and its citizens.

Well that wouldn't surprise me.

Speaking on Friday, EU Trade Commissioner Cecilia Malmström said it would make no sense to expect further talks on the issue, which had already stalled due to European demands over U.S. product standards and a demand for access to U.S. public sector contracts, otherwise protected by the Buy American Act.

Malmstöm, in what could be a harbinger for President-elect Trump’s attitude towards the EU, was forced to admit that EU officials are in the dark over the process. She said they “don’t really know what will happen,” and admitted TTIP “might not be the biggest priority” of the President-elect, according to Deustche Welle.

“There is strong reason to believe that there would be a pause in TTIP,”

Yes, but don't worry until something is officially confirmed. We are only 4 days in.

I'm glad they got rid of that snake Chris Christie.

Edit:

So I've now seen a few of his picks for the ' Presidential Transition Team '. No real shockers IMO. We'll see who remains.

Nothing confirmed, I should've specified. Ben Carson, Sarah Palin, Newt Gingrich: all horrible. Not surprising they're being bandied about.. they supported him when it was unpopular to do so, it's natural to expect their reward. Plus what pool is he supposed to pick from for Secretary of State, one of his casino buddies?? It's not like there's a gaggle of high integrity individuals who love their country more than money running around Washington. I know it's early and nothing's confirmed. Just putting it out there that I don't like it. Obama did the same crap after his hope & change bull. All establishment fuckers. Trump supporters need to be vocal and nip this in the bud right now. Problem is, WHO? This country's been corrupt for so long there is nobody else.
