Bowie received some nominations? Huh.

Oh well. I agree, overall total snoresville.

Perhaps we can turn viewing the show into a fun drinking game? :D

Bowie received some nominations? Huh.

Yes he released a creepy video of him on his death bed. It was actually brilliant. Deserves to win video of the year frankly.

This whole event, let alone network, is a complete joke now.

Same shit in every category, that shows up to every award show.

Like we're having the same group of acts deliberately shoved down our throats.

I am aware, but the fact that his name is even in the list is kind of surprising (to me, at least).

And I agree, it would be great if it won, but my hopes aren't too high unfortunately.

One of the few who actually deserves it. And not because he passed away, but because the work was amazing.

Absolutely.

I don't think he'll win though cos they usually only give it to the people that show up to the ceremony

Isn't this shit fest now voted by the public from the past 10 years now?! I'm sure it is. That's why same zzzzzzzz win every year.

This awards used to be so cool and iconic, now it's just another teen awards.

Exactly.

And that's it, right there. Same old names at every award show because they show up. (and yet, don't the ratings keep falling every year?)

He'll get them

Cause they're technical awards

Not voted by the public

But not announced during the ceremony

Funny how there's another thread on here with people saying Madonna should perform at VMAs. Now they're irrelevant :lmao:

It does look like Taylor Swift has been famously snubbed this year and my oh my her ex boyfriend Calvin Harris has a few nominations for the song she wrote.. MTV is definetely reading the gossip columns. Lol And I predict some "cops vs black poor people" kind of controversial talk.. Possibly Kanye West will be the most talked about artist. I don't see Beyonce winning many awards.. I think Adele will be the clear winner this year. Or maybe they're going to give female video to Adele or someone else hoping Kanye West is going to do a rerun of the Taylor Swift incident and crash the stage saying Beyonce should have won it! Of course if Beyonce don't win much they're going to say MTV is racist or something.. So maybe she'll win some. It's hard to tell nowadays with the current situation. But one thing is for sure its nolonger about the music.... Even the controversies have got nothing to do with the music or the performances... It's probably going to be something being said during the acceptance speech or presenting...

I hope they do discuss black people getting slaughtered by the US cops. Considering how much people listen to black music they sure do have an issue when it comes to black issues.

Ohhhh Madonna Classic things in pristine quality !!!!! Someone needs to record it all.

Imagine we get all the MTV interviews from over the years, the award performances, the classic year in rock recaps. The documentaries. I'm gagging!!!
