Why suddenly every homicide in Germany is getting world-wide attention? A 72 year old patient kills his doctor with a gun.

To put things into perspective: Less than 150 people a year are vicitms of a gun homicide in Germany. In the USA it`s more than 10,000. Actually more than 30,000 people are killed by firearms each year in the US annually.

So going by statistics today almost 100 people in the United States died due to a gun shot, more than 30 of those due to a homicide.

So suddenly Germany is this crazy and dangerous place, hm? Time to get a reality check.

Isis or whatever their fucking name have won. Now we live in a state of fear and link everything to them. They gladly accept the responsability especially when they are not behind the events because it makes them exist without having to move a finger. In that aspect they have won.

If you are interested in understanding how Isis works follow the NYT specialist on Twitter. She does a great job explaining and demystifying everything :

You've proved your own point. These episodes are rare in Germany. Of course it's going to get attention whereas I'm America it's more of a common occurrence. This week alone there's been an axe attack, machete attack, suicide bombing, mass shooting and now a shooting in a hospital. People are going to freak out.
