Regarding the arrest, George had hired an escort who he thought had stolen some images of his computer so chained him to the bed in an attempt to get the guy to confess and give them back. He wasn't a sex slave!

Mind you I saw a picture of the escort and thought George could have afforded someone better.

He followed me and messaged me on Twitter not too long ago. Really seems like he's come through his bullshit. Has anybody got the video where he was amazing on that talk show in the 70's before he was famous? Like discussing social issues...

Edit: forgot that I actually met him years ago when he was DJing at a club. He was pleasant but also seemed kind of sad. Like those Britney sad eyes. It was during his darker days though...

What people don't talk about is how George would be nothing without the other members of Culture Club, Jon, Roy and Mikey. Everyone will say they love George, but never that they love Jon, Roy and Mikey! George mostly just writes the lyrics, they wrote the music. They definitely don't get their due. People think Culture Club is just George, but it isn't.

He always swore he'd never reunite with them, but now he's back with them because his solo music flopped!

Being with them and playing the 80's hits is the only way he can play bigger venues.

They just finished touring Australia which got good reviews and they played the Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne which is the same venue Madonna played when she was there although she did 2 nights and they only did one.

They are now touring Japan. Usually Japan keeps people out with criminal convictions, but I guess a different rule applies to George!

I hope George is grateful for how people have been quick to forgive him and I hope he appreciates what a great band Jon, Roy and Mikey are because without them he would be zero.

George also writes melodies. And he is an Icon, the others aren't.

Also, it's actually they other way around, cuz people don't give a

flying fuck about CC WITHOUT Boy George in it.

But fortunately we have U 2 remind of those other guys Glinda!

Like every time someone does a thread on Boy George!

And just in case u missed it, this is a BOY GEORGE thread.

Lolz at when Culture Club tried to relaunch without George

He is one of the icons of the 80s and of ALL TIME

Do people

Not realise how HUGE he was basically for just 1982-1984 as the peak. Even Letterman interviewed his mum.

You think One Direction converts have screaming and Loud crowds. Watch some classic CC gigs. Mental .

Of course, they don't just like every band, people want the original singer. Who would want to see Duran Duran without Simon?

But likewise, George wouldn't be doing this huge tour in larger venues without the original lineup of the band.

George wouldn't be an icon, without the big hits from the 80's.

They both need each other. People don't care about CC without George and they don't care about George's solo efforts without the rest of the band.

And isn't Boy George part of Culture Club? I thought we were talking about what George is doing now. He is touring with Culture Club around the world.

I don't see why people like you need to put the other guys down to build George up. It's distasteful.

They did it to make him mad and make him reform the band. It worked didn't it? He changed his mind and reunited with them after swearing he never would. The members of Aerosmith did the same thing.

George got all the attention, but he didn't go it by himself.

I know it's not a popular opinion to love and respect the whole band, but I do. I don't put George on this high pedestal the way some fans do. He's talented but he doesn't do it alone.

I'm not putting anyone down. I just find it odd why u feel the need 2 express ur htred 4 George at every turn.

We get it. Also Boy George is a 'star' the others aren't. Just the way it is...that's not even a put down.

I'm not expressing my hatred of George. But I don't agree with some things he has said over the years about other people. If you say mean things about other people, don't act surprised when people are offended. I don't hate him, I just don't worship him like you do.

You say George is a star, but he wouldn't be one without the hits they all wrote together.

I certainly don't worship him. & Don't pretend U don't understand that Boy George is an icon

who remained a celebrity after Culture Club was over.

And I actually loved Waking Up With The House on fire (as did Carrie ik SATC as she had the vinyl ) but it was a rush job .

War Song Remains Iconic

Mistake Number 3 was lush. It was all too self destruct by then. And they all regret they didn't do Live Aid but probably for the best as those gigs They did in 85 George was a fucked up sweaty mess but that voice

And of course

https://youtu.be/h-ync2rLQsc

:( but :wow:

He was my first favorite. Before Michael and Madonna, it was all about him. Karma Chameleon was the first 45 I ever bought!

I will always have a soft spot in my heart for this guy. :inlove:
