VeronicaElectronica
I'm going to make a bold prediction. Hillary Clinton will be the Democratic nominee. She will probably win Nevada, easily come first in South Carolina and anything could happen Super Tuesday. If she does well Super Tuesday, I think she could very easily win New York and California. Anything can happen this election as we've seen so this prediction isn't that out there

Skin
Trump is bullshitting about him being against the war from the start as well. He only jumped on the bandwagon after the majority began to wake up to what a disaster it was. Its not like the man was in any way part of the millions upon millions marching in the streets or speaking out before we went in......Like Madonna. http://www.theatlantic.com/politics/archive/2016/02/donald-trump-says-he-was-against-the-iraq-war-thats-not-how-i-remember-it/462804/ I myself remember also because he was on Howard Stern long after the war began bashing the Bush's and the war, and I thought, wow, I guess we can add Donald to the list of people that finally opened their eyes. That being said at this point I don't think ANYTHING this man says is genuine. I don't believe he has a core at all. He will say anything and do anything as long as it benefits him and his ego. Unlike Bernie who was right from the start....

Unlike Bernie who was right from the start.... Trump talked publicly before the war along the lines of perhaps waiting for the United Nations and the economy being much more important than Iraq so he was definitely skeptical but I would agree not to the extent of warning about destabilization or "loud and clear" opposition. On the other hand, he did pronounce fighting a "mess" a week in to the conflict at Academy Award after parties which is still a fairly credible assessment depending on your definition of 'beginning' and 'warning.' :/ https://www.washingtonpost.com/pb/archive/lifestyle/2003/03/25/hollywood-partyers-soldiering-on/06327347-83d3-44c4-ab7b-dcd6fbda5437/?resType=accessibility

ULIZOS
I kind of feel bad for Hillary. Like, she really wants to be liked, but she's someone who's lived out of touch with reality since the 80s.

Skin
Stephen King on Ted Cruz. I actually think Trump, in the end, would be more electable than Cruz because Cruz is a fundamentalist Christian and it would almost be like electing the analog of an Imam -- someone whose first guiding principle would be the scripture, rather than the Constitution. But I don’t think he could get elected. And, even if he was able to govern without blowing up the world, could we look at a guy who resembles a cable game show host for four years? He has that awful plastered-down hair and everything.
ULIZOS
She was secretary of state of the US, she's more in touch with reality than an idealistic senator from Vermont... How does someone who lived in the governor's mansion, then lived in the white house, then was part of the senate while living out of her mansion, then moved back to the white house (sort of), then moved into one of her many mansions while she campaigns for POTUS for the second time around qualify her as being someone in touch with realty? Get mad all you want, she's not 100% in touch with many aspects of the U.S. A president doesn't have to be poor to be president, it's just obvious there's a reason why so many young people are gravitating towards Bernie Sanders. She comes off as an older white woman that has absolutely nothing to do with my reality. Hell, I even relate more to George Dubbayah and his Spanish-speaking brother with a Mexican wife and half Mexican children. He's the typical Texan rancher my gun toting Mexican cowboy deeply religious father did business with.
ULIZOS
Oh, and I'm sure you Hillary supporters are going to say oh but Bernie Sanders is an old white man, um, yeah, but he was an angry white man who was a pissed off youth who has always fought for what he's believed and grew up to be a fantastic U.S. senator, while Hillary was a conservative at the exact same time who then decided to be not so conservative

Moka
I understand your point but then, why not vote for the poorest man on earth? He would know best what "real life" is, compared to the politicans who live in a wealthy world... We live in a complex and dangerous world. I think the best candidate is the person with the best ideas and who knows how to get things done. And for me, that person is Hillary. I have nothing against Bernie, he's an honest man with good ideas and comitments (and I voted for a socialist in my country and he's now president), but I think Hillary has more experience and she is able to win the general election. PaulaAbdul
This argument is BEYOND bullshit and I'm sick of it. She was 16 years old then while Bernie was 23. If we held people accountable for everything they did at 16, we'd all be in a lot of trouble. It's not her fault she was born into a conservative family. She became liberal once she went to college, like most people do.
Moka
That's a bit lame... She was only 16 when that happened, and then she changed her mind and supported Luther King and the democrats. I don't see any Hillary supporters in here attacking Bernie, why are his supporters always doing that? They always act as if he's a morally superior candidate but they participate in smear campaign against Hillary... Stop with that.
ULIZOS
l specifically said it's not about being poor. It's not about that at all. Bernie Sanders isn't poor at all. He has a net worth in the hundreds of thousands, which compared to all other senators is considered poor, but it's not poor compared to the average American. Sanders has been in politics for a LONG TIME, he served as a mayor for 8 (7?) years, as a representative for 16 years, and as a senator since 2006. He has way more experience in politics than Obama had way before Obama ran for president, and remember everyone saying he was too young an inexperienced to get the job done? Well, I think he did a FANTASTIC job, especially given the mess he inherited. I have never attacked Hillary, I have never called her old, never said she's about to have a heart attack, I've never called her ugly, nobody has said that stuff around here. Some of us are simply trying to defend our position to back Bernie Sanders.
ULIZOS
Clinton writes that she began to have doubts about Goldwater’s politics even before she left high school, when a teacher forced her to play President Johnson during a mock presidential debate in order to "learn about issues from the other side" (page 24). Later, as a junior at Wellesley College, she writes, "I had gone from being a Goldwater Girl to supporting the anti-war campaign of Eugene McCarthy," driving to New Hampshire on weekends to stuff envelopes and walk precincts (pages 32-33). Even so, she also worked as a Washington, D.C., intern for Gerald Ford, who was then the Republican leader of the House, and she attended the 1968 Republican convention to work for New York Gov. Nelson Rockefeller’s unsuccessful effort to get the GOP presidential nomination (pages 34-35). She was born into a deeply conservative family and she later changed positions, I think that's not only acceptable, I think it's very brave of her. Most people follow their parents footsteps without ever questioning them. I don't think there's anything wrong with that. But she was a republican through at least 1968, when she was 21. PaulaAbdul
Well on most social media I've read, Bernie "supporters" (who are supposedly feminists and for equal rights and tolerance) have spewed nothing but the most revolting, misogynistic language towards Hillary and I find that deplorable. I love Bernie, I've met him a couple times and he used to be my Senator, but I prefer Hillary for President and would NEVER launch a baseless, personal attack against Bernie to try and bolster and justify my support for Hillary. I'm very disappointed in many of his supporters and would expect A LOT better from people who claim to be socialists and for complete tolerance and world peace and all that. ULIZOS
Show me one example of Bernie Sanders' supporters being disgusting misogynists.
