I think Trump winning the GOP nom would be ok because even Bernie can probably beat him, and if Bernie wins the Dem nom, we need a weak GOP frontrunner. I want Rubio OUT of this race tomorrow.

It is still hard for me to see a viable path for Sanders even to the nomination. Although one thing that may boost his chances would be Bloomberg going Independent. if that happens, it would kill Hillary but especially with the right running mate and outreach to minorities Bernie could leverage a certain benefit in the mind of the average person from running against two billionaires. There are definitely still too many unknowns after two states. :)

Clinton likely to leave NH with same number of delegates as Sanders

Hillary Clinton is expected to leave New Hampshire with just as many delegates as Bernie Sanders, even after he crushed her in Tuesday’s primary.

Sanders had won 13 delegates with his 20-point victory on Monday, and is expected to raise that total to 15 by the time all of the votes are counted.

Two of the state’s 24 delegates are currently unpledged, but will likely be awarded to Sanders once the results are finalized. That will raise the Sanders total to 15 delegates.

Clinton won 9 delegates in the primary, but came into the contest with the support of six superdelegates — state party insiders who are given the freedom to support which ever candidate they choose.

Superdelegate support is fluid, so it is possible that one of those delegates now committed to Clinton could switch before the national convention.

But as it stands, the superdelegate support gives Clinton a total of 15 New Hampshire delegates — the same as Sanders.

The Clinton campaign has mounted an aggressive effort to secure about 360 superdelegates across the country, according to the Associated Press. Sanders has a total of eight superdelegates.

Two of New Hampshire’s eight superdelegates are uncommitted: state party chairman Ray Buckley and state Sen. Martha Fuller Clark, according to the Associated Press.

Buckley was barred from picking a side until after the primary, while Fuller Clark told The Hill that she remains uncommitted.

“I wanted to ensure that we had a very open and fair process in New Hampshire and I don't t believe as an elected officer of the party that I should be choosing between two very fine Democrats who are running for office,” she said.

“For the time being, I continue to hold that position and will wait until closer to the convention to decide.”

Clinton's superdelegate supporters includes Gov. Maggie Hassan, Sen. Jeanne Shaheen, and Rep. Annie Kuster.

She's also backed by Democratic National Committeemembers Joanne Dodwell, Billy Shaheen and Kathy Sullivan.

So I was thinking today. Hillary supporters are always talking about the fact that if Bernie were to be elected he wouldn't get anything passed because he's too idealistic and blah.

Like, really? So if Hillary wins she's somehow going to have republicans on her side who basically think she's the devil and she's going to get everything passed? Give me a fucking break :lmao:

Expanding the possible. If Bernie were to become president, NO, we wouldn't pass everything he says he's going to pass, but he would expand the scope of the possible. He would push America more to the left. Period.

Look. I for one don't live in la la land. No matter if its Bernie or Hillary as long as the Congress or even one branch of Congress remains republican, NOTHING IS GETTING DONE so I totally agree with you. Like I have said a billion times, my main issue right now is the Supreme Court and getting the majority in that to assure that at least in that area this country can progress on a lot of issues instead of regressing back to the stone age under a republican getting to nominate a handful of judges. My hope is that IF a republican wins one of these really old judges that leans left wont retire and will keep their old ass on that bench until a democrat can replace them. And I hope none that are left leaning die while a republican is in the WH. :scared:

That being said I think most Bernie supporters would get out and vote for Hillary when push comes to shove come election time, but that could go down the drain if it doesn't look like she won the primary fair and square. I mean lets be real. Bernie CRUSHED her in NH yet they walk away with the same amount of delegates? Give me a break.

Before you go dumping any more on the Republicans, as of now even House Democrats have distanced themselves from Sanders and his platform of massive tax increases (probably Clinton's also...). On the delegate thing, there could be razor thin distinctions between pledged or committed or whatever Superdelegates that would allow them to change candidates later if Hillary becomes too toxic or to reflect actual vote totals and align more closely with voter preferences. Hopefully. :newspaper:

They are probably conservative dems in right wing areas simply afraid of losing their own election by having Sanders "tax increase" to pay for healthcare twisted and demonized like is already being done. As usual a lot of dems lack a backbone to stand by anything that republicans might attack them on.

Yes, most Bernie supporters will end up voting for Hillary just like most Hillary supporters ended up voting for Obama even though people were pretty pissed.

That being said, this whole "bernie won't get anything done" excuse is bullshit. The two party system is designed to have people on both sides of the political spectrum compromise so that things don't change too drastically from one election to another. So no matter who wins the presidential election, whether it's Sanders, Clinton, Trump or Cruz or whoever, they won't follow through with everything and will have to make LOTS of compromises. But if Bernie wins, he will move the U.S. further to the left. Period. That's why I'm voting for him (and besides the fact that I just don't like that Hillary woman).

So, stop insulting each other, stop making excuses and may the best (wo)man WIN.

Well that is one thing that I would hope for. Is that Obama won by two landslides, and now if a self described democratic socialist wins HOPEFULLY it will finally be a wakeup call to some dems and republicans that this is not just a fluke and if right leaning people ever want to see The White House again, they better start evolving and moving to the center/left.

Building onto what you're saying: maybe that's not such a bad thing in the current generation, whereby Righties (my word) dominate state and local politics (as they heavily do in the US) and the Lefties set up shop at the Federal level. As much as "winning" feels good, judging by the constant ideological tests that Righties put their politicians through and constantly hold their noses when voting for so-called front-runners, one would think that they aren't that concerned by winning at the Federal level. By ideological persuasion, Righties are opposed to an omnipresent Federal Government and prefer that everyday life issues be left to local principalities. We can very well have a situation whereby Lefties introduce stuff at the Federal level and it gets tested out at the local level.

Like our current president Obama? Or Madonna? A lot of intelligent people want to see her in Office. Let's see how this finishes before we make that assumption! I mean the US is in a great position of voting in Trump so saying americans don't want Hillary is not exactly and insult to Hillary more how stupid A LOT of americans are! ;)

The super delegate stuff is NOT Nazi Germany. Bernie could avoid all the shit in the Democratic party by running as an Independent - just like he did in Vermont for his Senate seat. If you all believe in him so much, why don't you support him doing that? He isn't a Democrat. The party is ALLOWING him to run in their primary. Of course they are all for Hillary - she's been a Democrat for decades. And if everyone is fed up with Republicans and Democrats, you should vote Independent and let the parties nominate who they want.

Political parties are allowed to make their own rules and they do it in every free society. There are too many political novices in this forum. You think everything is unfair and stupid but you don't know the first thing about how the system even works. It's like coming in here and arguing with 5 year olds.

The Democratic establishment isn't going to back any candidate who flatly says they want to raise taxes on the middle class. You know why? Because those types of candidates LOSE in the general. And Bernie's on tape saying it. It's no wonder the Democrats aren't flocking to back him.

political novices? :lmao:

I know next to nothing about how the process works, and I know it's designed to keep anyone with "wild" ideas from winning like healthcare for all, but guess what, the vast majority of the U.S. citizens are political novices. That doesn't mean our opinion doesn't matter Mr. PoliSci master.
