Raf
Interesting artcile about the design process of the stage and props from the tour! Check it out and sorry if it was already posted before! https://www.designweek.co.uk/how-madonnas-rebel-heart-tour-was-designed/ My favorite part: "There is a scene near the beginning of the show where Chinese hand fans are used. “Initially we bought 30 fans for three bucks each and then an amazing choreographed dance was made and Madonna said ‘We want dagger fans’ – so we spent $20,000 and six weeks working on this beautiful dagger fan. I knew it would be a problem, because we’d gone from using a plastic fan that weighed nothing to using something that’s made out of plastic and metal, which looks beautiful but is three times as wide. We showed Madonna and she said, ‘I can’t hold this…’”

Phineaspoe
Ok now I was able to read the whole way through. I'm surprised they didn't mention Illuminati? By far, I think, the most "wow" moment of them all.
ITG
Ok now I was able to read the whole way through. I'm surprised they didn't mention Illuminati? By far, I think, the most "wow" moment of them all. It was produced by a different team, that's why it wasn't mentioned in the article. This is a few segments from the Herald Sun newspaper in Melbourne - "Melbourne showman Scott Maidment has a friend and colleague in Madonna. The queen of pop saw his last 2 shows in London & loved them so much she invited him to work with her on her Rebel Heart Tour. He obliged, naturally, & flew to New York to create one of the numbers, Illuminati, for her concert. Maidment is the creative brain behind Strut & Fret, the company responsible for a parade of acclaimed shows, including those seen by Madonna, Cantina and Limbo. Strut & Fret specialises in circus-cabaret entertainment - the jaw dropping kind with audiences right up close to the action for the added wow. The company's philosophy is this: "We believe artistic experiences should be breathtaking, heart-gripping, unforgettable and entertaining." Hopefully more to come. I'm a little surprised that Moment Factory (or whatever the name) did not work again on this. The Superbowl and MDNA are her best stage designs bar none. Maybe they are trop cher?
jjmor95
And I'll be able to see the show in all it's glory in less than 2 months! What a production.

Gâteau
Loved the visuals a lot - especially during the first section (Iconic, Holy Water + Devil Pray!). They were spectacular, yet not distracting from M and the rest of the show.
nemo64
The pics are amazing. http://www.stufish.com/project/rebel-heart-tour The Designweek article mentioned Tait. The Machine Most of the show is powered by what Lipson calls The Machine, a device constructed by Tait to be the engine of the show. It’s an 8.5×4.8m screen, which in its flat position sits flush with the stage. It can be walked, jumped and danced on and can rise up 2.5m, pivoting from flat to 90 degrees vertically in 30 seconds. From the Tait website (Not sure why they mention only "34 cities") Production Designer: Stufish Production Manager: Jason Danter TAIT was honored to work with Madonna, once again, and create the experience she visualized for her fans. For her Rebel Heart Tour, visiting 34 cities world-wide, TAIT created the Full Main Stage, the Runway, B-Stage, C-Stage, Tracking Video Screens, Fly Track, Flying Cage, Flying Light Pods, Sway Poles, Lifts, LED Floor, Center Stage Machine and more!
