I just saw this teaser and it is such an event and it made me miss the days when MTV was MTV and a video so cinematic in it's feel was premiered on TV. Now this Meerkat business and all these apps and even youtube inundated mostly with subscribers who do not understand anything and lack the sense to appreciate such creativity. Just kids. I am not an artist but I am feeling like Madonna. It is truly the death of the artist. This generation.

I hope Meercat are paying here for this. I mean, wouldnt they just make more money by having the premier by making people buy it on itunes if they want to see it before its on youtube.

I simply love this look. I was in love with top hats in the early 90s and that "Oliver Twist" look that was so trendy back then with 4 Non Blondes or Tasmin Archer. I so wanted to have those kind of "jarckets", I even had a black coat that i wore with a whilte shirt with long sleeves.

Universal Music Group is one of Meerkat's investors. I guess that's why they went with Meerkat.

B. Åkerlund appeared in a Swedish documentary where she's styling the "Ghosttown" video. Sadly I don't understand a word being said, so if anybody could highlight potential interesting quotes? It's the first 14 minutes:

I'm looking at 7 mins now and she's checking out clothes for Ghosttown!!!

some english bits:

what did she say about the cape? we need some swedes to translate!

and you can read a madonna email saying "madonna request" too. just pause it at 13:16.

also a 12mins they're checking out a special "wig" and thinking it could be really good for M but maybe too cher. (i also think too gaga) lets see if they picked it or not:p

they're also debating whether or not to go with some type of braces on shoes for her video, she calls it "fashion" but the other person says its stupid because M is flexible/can walk so it's weird. i agree with him ;)

Forgive me, I'm really stupid with all of this streaming nonsense. So you download that Meerkat app and you can watch the video through it? The first thing the app did when I opened it was crash so I don't have a lot of faith in it.

No. I'm 20 and I appreaciate everything that is done. Yes it's not the same like it used to be when stuff premiered on TV or whatever. But those days are over and this how things are done now. And a lot of people close to my age are used to this kind of stuff. If anything we should appreciate that an artist like Madonna still has huge hype when premiering music videos regardless of where they are. I don't see anyone from the 80s, 90s having this music commotion when they releasing new material.

I waited till midnight ( Thailand time ) and boomed the clocked stopped ticking and it said ' Stay Tunes ' then it was ' There's an error'.

Is that happening again tonight ? It would be so funny if it does .

I still think that if he video had premiered in Jimmi Fallon it would have reached more people.

To be fair, people tell off too soon traditional media, like newspapers, tv... Those apps and streaming and shit do nothing.

At Jimmy Fallon she gets a 5 to 10 minute segment tops, they do not have the time to premiere the full video. They might still air a piece of it, and then have her perform it live, which does more for the song. When people then google or youtube the song it'll help the views regardless!!! She's just spreading exposure! She'll be on Fallon anyway, wether she premieres the video there or not...

About the cape all she says is (translated), "We still like each other, which is good" (smiling) The word for "like" in swedish is stronger than in english.

If they say that they will premier the video, many many people will stay tuned. Especially if they say "and beware because there are some nipples involved" and Madonna flashes a nipple.

Yes, i know, i'm picturing a 1992 scenary, when Erotica was premiered in Spanish TV, hahaha. It was in this female debate and after the video all women were shocked and claiming that Marylin was the real deal and Madonna a wannabe that was "not Erotic, but PORN".

This is what will go up #soon:

A better video than Dear Jessie, Hey You, Jump, Get Together and Turn Up The Radio combined

I think they do, if you fans are used to live with them, to use them...and we are not. Most of us at least, can download that, and then delete it.I don´t know. After reading AC/DC´s and Pinl Floyd´s sales...she could be selling more than it is, if she keeps her fanbase! is not the GP only what hs been missing, but a huge% of her fan base! that´s why I think Fallon and these shows can help a lot
