ATLANTIC CITY 10/3/15

Recommended Posts

I just exchanged my seats in the $180 price level for WAY better seats in the same price level through Ticketmaster! They must have opened up more seats because I saw them online and did an exchange immediately (which was a complete nightmare and long - and I do mean long story which took two days to get resolved - Thanks Ticketmaster!...ugh!) - but there are some really awesome seats left at this price level if anyone is thinking of going to this show. I was in 209 and moved up to 221!

I noticed that too. The tickets I have for my friends are in Section 208 but the first row of that section I wonder if they should switch or stay put. If anything maybe I'll wait til closer to the show they may make some even better seats cheaper. I really feel based on my unscientific ticketmaster studying that AC might be the worst selling tour date.

If their tickets are in the first row of the section, i'd say they are pretty good seats - were they the $150 tickets? ($180 w/tax and fees) if you don't mind my asking? My section 209 tickets were in row F for that price but I bought them a few days after they went on sale and was shown on the computer (at the Ticketmaster outlet) that was all that was open so I took them - still not terrible seats though and I was happy until the other night I was playing around online and could not believe what was open for the SAME price. Ticketmaster usually doesn't allow exchanges, but certain venues DO allow it so Ticketmaster knows how to make the switch - Boardwalk Hall allows it. Since I bought them at a Ticketmaster outlet, I had to do the transaction at the store not over the phone - they didn't know what to do, and they called to verify - then they were given incorrect instructions on how to do it and ended up canceling my order, and some sort of technical error happened with the money and they had to call the support line again (this time they made me call) while standing there and a rep was like sorry, can't help you - need a manager to help you tomorrow! I had to leave the store with no tickets and NO refund! I certainly wasn't going to buy another pair without the refund at least processing correctly. So, the next morning I called the support line from home and had to explain the whole thing again (as if the 3 hours at the outlet weren't bad enough) to which they first told me to, get this, go BACK to the store so they can process the refund. I said NO WAY! they ended up re-activating my tickets and I was told if I want to take a chance you can go back to the store and have them try to do the exchange again, but....

I went to another outlet at a different mall (because I'm a crazy Madonna fan and want the best I can get) and they called the support line and they finally walked them through the steps to do it correctly and I eventually got what I wanted but it was extremely upsetting with that kind of money just up in the air and nowhere to turn! I had a third ticket that was bought at a separate time over the phone but the seat was right next to my original two (the two I just upgraded) that I had to exchange over the phone to make sure we were still all going to sit together - and the rep did the transaction in less than 10 minutes - so bottom line - it's much easier to do this when you purchase your seats online or over the phone - I will NEVER go to the outlet again and the only reason I did this time is because I had a gift card I wanted to use that I couldn't use on their website. NOT worth it!

Anyway, I'm not sure they lowered the price or not, it seems that the row I'm in and higher are the $150's and the lower rows of the 200's sections are the $250.00's - I think what happened was that they for some reason were being held or possibly returned somehow? Do you think they lowered the price? That would have bothered me so bad to know I could have been three sections closer for the same price!

As far as the slow sales, yes, I do think this show is a slow seller and I really hope that there's no cancellation or anything because I'm going with one person who's never seen her before and I'd hate for that to happen. I'm not sure what they are going to do but it does seem like the 300's sections are sold out last time I checked which is odd.

The MDNA tour seemed to be a hit with the crowd the last time around as well - plus, it's always on a Saturday night - I can't believe it's not selling faster. They need to do some advertising - and fast. I have heard NOTHING about it - not on radio, tv, - is there even a billboard on the expressway? I haven't been down there in a while so I'm not sure but they need to do something and fast.

There was no billboard on the expressway when I was there in July which shocked me - the height of summer when the most people will see it. Not sure if there's one now.

My friends tickets were the $180 ones. I got it for them during the regular on sale right when they went on sale. And sadly I don't think the 300s are sold out I think they closed out those sections. I saw the same tickets in the same section for literally months meaning I don't think anyone was going to shell out $180 for 300s so I'm fairly certain they will just move the few people who had those tickets down closer.

Also praying for no cancellation. While I'm going to MSG one night I'm in the bowl and my tickets for AC are right up against the cross (I did an exchange too to get those - over the phone also easy). But hopeful that since borgata is sponsoring show they can give tickets away to high rollers instead of canceling. One more month to find out!

And yes the fact that this is a Saturday and not sold out in a venue that only hold 12000 is crazy. Though other boardwalk hall shows seems to be struggling (check out all the open seats for Ricky Martin and they are cheap)

Still a lot of floor left too but I don't think people realize because it defaults to the 100s but if you specify floor there are lots there. I think it would help sales if they put the map up!

I am going to the Philly show in the lower level - right by the cross, but I'm going to that one alone - so yeah, I'll get to see the show, but I kind of am more excited for the AC show. I cannot believe Borgata is letting this happen! I'm hopeful that positive reactions from the Philly show will create some demand. I remember getting pretty good MDNA tickets much closer to the show rather than earlier like I usually do - it was a last minute decision to do both Philly and AC last time and I got pretty good tickets so she doesn't usually sell out instantly.

I do agree that you are probably right - the 300's have been closed off now - maybe they will open them back up if there's a sudden demand - who knows. I'd be shocked if it doesn't happen - but I will continue to remain positive and hopeful - but would be really upset if there's a cancellation.

On a better note, after playing around with Ticketmaster's website, it doesn't seem as wide open as before.

I would imagine it has to do with the current state of the city - and I bet this is Madonna's last show at Boardwalk Hall - she's been here consistantley since CT but if she and other artists are having trouble selling, it doesn't look good for the venue - which is a shame because I think it's an awesome place for a show - since it's quite small, most seats are great and when a show as big as Madonna is there - the stage just takes over the place.

I don't know why they don't put the map up right away - it would be so much easier to buy GOOD seats - the best ones you can actually get, rather than having them selected for you. There must be a business reason why they don't.

Reading through this thread, you guys were starting to worry me. Glad it seems to be filling up. This will be my 3rd show there, and I much prefer it over Philly just because of size. I have seats in section 103 this time around.

It really is a great venue for a concert. Looks like it's about 75% full now - if I had to guess. Once she does well in Philly, I think it could eventually sell out - or come close to it. I was worried for a while, but I think we can relax now.

Also so many people waiting for floor seats to the NYC shows can snap up some great ones in AC for face value if they don't get what they are looking for next week. It's a Saturday and you can make a whole night of it. Rooms are pretty reasonable too since fall is the off season.

Good point! I was quite worried there for a while, but I think it was for nothing. I am beyond excited!

Yep, can't wait either. I'm going to try to remain spoiler free this time around since it's so close. Well, I won't watch any video clips anyhow. I'll probably take a look at the setlist so I know when to take a bathroom break. haha

I'm tempted to do the same...except for the setlist as well. I don't know if I can resist though!

I don't care about sold out shows cause I know eventually they fill sell to like 95% or to sold out by their dates but AC is REALLY looking bad. :/ any thoughts? There's a LOT of seats

It looks 75% sold out right now but once the tour starts there shouldn't be any issues. I bet some of the NY and PA people will want to go again.

I live about 45 minutes from Philly and 2 hrs. from AC. It really surprises me more people from the Philly area don't drive a little further to AC for the smaller venue. It makes a huge difference in my opinion.

We also don't know if this is all the seats. There may be se not even released yet like we've seen with other dates.

I think it's safe to assume these ARE all the seats. There's so many. What's the point of holding back...

Well there are a lot of seats in the travel zoo sale that aren't listed here. also no seats directly in front of the heart are listed for resale so I'm wondering if those have been released yet.

Me too.. encourage people to buy some seats! You can get third row center for $850 and a bunch of runway seats for $650 on Platinum seats. Not to mention all the great face value seats by the heart and front rows of the bowl. Bring a friend!

I'm getting a little annoyed that there are all these great seats available. I bought my tickets first day of the Citicard presale and the best I could get was the last row of section 103? I'm feeling a little ripped off. In the meantime some high roller will probably score free tickets from a casino and have better seats. >:(

Call them up and exchange them. I was able to do that with Ticketmaster for this show a few months back, got moved right in front of the cross Row 16.

I may have to try that. Are the seats you got VIP tickets? I'm only really willing to spend the $360, not to mention 3 other people i'm going with will never go for that much $$$.
