This track surprised me the most . Now I understand what she was talking about regarding World Music etc . Love it .

This is like nothing she has ever done before! Yet it's inherently Madonna. So so sweet. On MDNA it was Gang Bang (the exact opposite of this) that resembled nothing else in her catalog. And now Body Shop on Rebel Heart. No one else does this groundbreaking thing so effortlessly, amd this far into a career!

This is the perfect example of releasing a sexual inneundo song, but it being balanced out by a warm, happy go lucky arrangement. It's just like what ONJ did with the song 'Physical' back in 1981.. turning a sexual frank song (for 1981 that is) into an anthem for exercising based on both the peppy arrangement and even peppier music video.

With all these corks we might need to have the base looked at
So pop the hood and see what's good I need a toolin' man
My precious love I'm on a roll but my transmission's blown
I heard a thumpin' on the lot

I hear you work at a body shop
I hear you work at a body shop

You can keep it overnight
You can do whatever you like
Working overtime
Working on the line

You can polish the headlights
You can smooth out the fender
You can start the ignition
We can go on a bender

Stuck to the seat our body heat, what will you do with those ice
There should be gears, get outta here, was steppin' on the gas
We gotta bounce, we're gone past, let's let the seat go back
You take the wheel, I'll sit on top

I hear you work at a body shop
I hear you work at a body shop

You can keep it overnight
You can do whatever you like
Working overtime
Working on the line

You can keep it overnight
You can do whatever you like
Working overtime
Working on the line

Overheating the engine
Might be blowing a gasket
Tighten up the suspension
And you don't have to ask it

I hear you work at a body shop
I hear you work at a body shop

I would drive to the ends of the Earth for you
Jumpstart my heart, you know what you gotta do
I would ride through the dark of the night with you
Cross my heart and hope to die, it's true

You can keep it overnight
You can do whatever you like
Working overtime
Working on the line

You can keep it overnight
You can do whatever you like
Working overtime
Working on the line

I hear you work at a body shop
I hear you work at a body shop
I hear you work at a body shop
I hear you work at a body shop

With all these curves we might need to have the breaks looked at

So pop the hood and see what's good I need a tune up bad

My pressure's low I'm on a roll but my transmission's blown

I heard a thump and then a knock

I hear you work at a body shop

I hear you work at a body shop

You can keep it overnight

You can do whatever you like

Working overtime

Working on the line

You can polish the headlights

You can smooth out the fender

You can start the ignition

We can go on a bender

Stuck to the seat our body heat, what will you do with all this ass

lets shift the gears, get outta here, we're steppin' on the gas

We gotta bounce, we're going fast, let's let the seat go back

You take the wheel, I'll sit on top

I hear you work at a body shop

I hear you work at a body shop

You can keep it overnight

You can do whatever you like

Working overtime

Working on the line

You can keep it overnight

You can do whatever you like

Working overtime

Working on the line

Working on the line

I hear you work at a body shop

I hear you work at a body shop

FIXED

These are totes the real lyrics. That site had some shit fucked up. They didn't even get all the car language she's playing around with

And they missed what makes it "explicit" :)

omg thank you so much. I've been depending on the Mad-eyes lyrics for the past months and it's been driving me crazy. I knew there were some lyrics they got wrong but I couldn't figure it out.

"Stuck to the seat our body heat, what will you do with all this ass

lets shift the gears, get outta here, we're steppin' on the gas

We gotta bounce, we're going fast, let's let the seat go back

I'm happy I can now understand the 2nd verse. Didn't realise it was so naughty :stir:

This has been one of my favorites since I first heard the leak. I love it! :inlove:

I do think she should have kept the "Like A Virgin" style breathing/exhaling from the demo but I still love it either way.

One of my favorite things about the song is how the chorus says "I hear you work at a body shop" as opposed to something like "take me to your body shop" or "I'm coming to your body shop". The sly and inquiring manner in which she conveys the statement/question is what really makes the song for me. I do not think it would be as cute or as sexy had she worded that line in any other way.

I'm loving this song more and more. It's wonderful.

I used to work at The Body Shop, so it's finding a silly special place in my heart. LOL

Love this song..

I really really did not like this track when I first listened to the demo when it leaked. I only played it twice and found it so passable. It sounded like someone kind of like Ingrid Michaelson or Regina Spektor or someother VH1 you oughta know artist. And I was so shocked that so many people were loving this song. When the tracklist was revealed, I was shocked by it's inclusion. But when I finally heard the full album last night, something happened, I kinda fell for the song. The production was improved, but I love the song now. It's so clever, witty, and well written.
