Madonna on Canal+'s Le Grand Journal - 2nd March (France)

Ghosttown sounds EPIC live!! It suits her voice perfectly, she sings it effortlessly the same way she sang the AL songs duing RIT. I am not particularly fond of this LFL version, I hope she keeps the tour performance as close to the original as possible.

do you not watch the news? are there not deaf people in your country? its called CLOSED CAPTIONING.

Yes and that's delayed, approximate and painful to watch. They won't do this to their millions of subscribers just because some foreigners watch the interview and don't like dubbing...

Her matador all in B&W was amazing. But I hope she keeps things colorfull on tour.

While watching, the only thing that came to mind was 1992...

living for this madonna era!! These performances were done so well. It's sooo rare for Madonna to do a remix to promote a new song. The only time i remember her doing this was for Bedtime Story at the Brits and maybe Hollywood MTV Vma's.

:lmao: look who's talking :lmao:

Its not a sin to say that she doesn't have the time to go deep on politics, she is an american popstar, a very smart woman, but in no way she could lecture us about some of the topics they were discussing there. I'm a fan, but i'm not blind.

That's very true but she's not a specialist, she has a very broad understanding of what's going on. The core of her message and understand though is that people should accept others and not impose upon them them acts of violence and exclusion.

Yes, i can agree with this but on her broad understanding of the world she can often sound very superficial and as i said i don't blame her, at least she makes an effort to discuss some of those topics even though she obviously can't fully understand whats going on. She said it best herself, that she may misunderstand things and she is always up to a discussion to learn more and improve herself.

I love she keeps changing the matador outfit just like she changes the LFL everytime she performs it.

I wish I was off work too. Have not had time to watch the French show yet and can't wait to get home to see it all. Did quickly have a look at the Ghosttown performance though and it was sublime. Beautiful vocals and performance. This Era is incredible.

UGH i want to share the performances all over the Internet to spread the magic but there's no video to share!!! UGH! I shared the emotional embrace with the Charlie Hebdo survivor, though.

What an interview...and two amazing performances!!!! I can't keep up with this era. (Thank god for this board).

What other "pop" star on the planet is going to go on these kinds of shows and answer those types of questions...? Can you just imagine these other pop tarts even doing such a thing... please!!!

These types of interviews are a constant reminder that there will never be another like this woman...esp. looking at the landscape of pop now.

Intelligence, wit, an actual personality. Nothing like her... sadly, far too many in this world can't appreciate or understand it. Their loss.
