The Material Girl singer is set to grace the stage at the bash next month, showcasing new material to UK audiences for the first time

Get ready to get Into the Groove, as we can reveal that the Brits are to feature Madonna – 20 YEARS after she last performed at the awards.

The Material Girl singer is set to grace the stage at the bash next month, showcasing new material to UK audiences for the first time.

Sources tell us Madge, 56, is “99% confirmed” to perform songs from her new Rebel Heart album.

But bosses will be keen to get a megamix (or Madge-a-mix, if you will) of some of her greatest hits as a huge finale.

A source close to the star tells us: “Madonna wants to perform to the biggest number of people for the maximum impact and there’s no better place for a controversy-filled Madonna performance than the Brits.

“She has already confirmed she will perform at the Grammys, when she will debut the new music.

“But her album is due out on March 9, a month after the LA ceremony, so she wants another large platform to perform her songs on just before it is released.

Our source adds: “She has cleared her diary for the Brits. She knows she needs to really entertain and bring a good show because she’ll want to be the talking point.”

Her last album MDNA didn’t get a nomination and recently Madge has been a far cry from her 90s peak.

In fact, when she last performed at the event in 1995, the hosts Ant and Dec were up for an award.

A Brit Awards source said: “The final line-up is not yet confirmed.” A spokeswoman for Madonna said it was “just speculative” the star would take to the stage.

Acts performing at London’s O2 arena on February 25 include Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran and Sam Smith.

God lets hope it happens! If megamix would be awesome!!!!!!

I pray for these two performances, the promo tours (screened live on TV or the internet) and a handful of interviews before she preps for the tour and following singles/videos!

And don't forget to add some sort of scandal/controversy into the mix.

Didn't the Brit Awards get cancelled and then brought back?

This would be excellent, though I think The Brits needs Madonna as much as the other way around. This years line-up is looking dull, insipid record exec-tastic.

I've said before, they should bring back the Lifetime Achievement Award for Madonna. I hope she does the Medley at the end and throws in a mix of hits and hits-to-be.

I'd rather Central Park than terminal 5 but tbh, I could see her revisiting Webster Hall.

I really don't understand why she bothers, if it's only going to be a promo in the Us and Uk.

Unlike the Grammys (which, like the Oscars are a truly global event),

the Brits is an event that is only important on their Island nation.

Japan and Germany are more important markets

in terms of music sales.

And anyway, since album sales are way lower than ticket sales

from Concert tours, it would make more sense

for her to focus on countries where she actually

fills stadiums: Italy, France, Brazil, and even Australia (where she could easely break every

record in terms of touring revenue and attendance).

So instead of just being an album-promo tour,

it should be a promo tour for the actual tour that

will follow. (These days, albums are nothing

more than a promotional tool for Concert tours anyway).

In the Uk her concert attendances have become lower and lower.

Even if Rebel Heart becomes a big hit in the Uk,

she won't be able to pull a multiple-nights-Wembley sellout like in back in the 80s or 90s.

So to sum it up: Guy Oseary, think outside of the

Anglo-box and focus on doing promo in countries

where she is actually the most sucessful.

She'll be there. It's all so traditional... performances on tv, awards... M knows that that is the only option she's got for Living for love become a success, because is not a feature.

Amazing. Let's go madge, show those basic bitches.

for INTERNATIONAL ACTSSSSSSSSSSSSSS NOO , Japan is lower than UK in terms of sales , BUT UK IS A CRUCIAL MARKET ...if you hit a n1, ALBUM OR SINGLE in UK is 1000000000000000 times more important than a n1 single or album in Japan

but still Japan and Germany important markets

Celine got a top 15 in UK , I think.... because she performed on X factor, so Madonna can a top 10

The argument was about wheter Germany is more important than Uk in terms of music sales... not Japan (which as you properly

stated is not so big for international artists).
