Rebel Heart Promo Tour

Not necessarily. If there is some form of promo tour in April then we won't hear until late March. They are trying to have this album "hang around" look at the Jonathan Ross interview, that's not gonna be aired until mid march.

How did people get tickets to the previous promo shows? (Music, Confessions and Hard Candy.) Were they hard to get?

I am sooooo glad she's not pulling MDNA this time going straight to touring! She is actually taking time to really promote this album!! Just imagine, spring AND summer, all rebel heart, all the promo we'll get!! No doubt with the way this is going we're in for a lot of surprises and most likely more than 3 singles!!! I knew this is how things were gonna go, even before the album was announced. I don't know, just had a strong feeling that this era was gonna be different. :inlove:

I don't think we will get promo in the summer. She needs time to rehears for the tour. But it wold be great. I think this kind of promotion will stop in late March.

Yup, I think after March she will go into full tour rehearsal mode. She's given us a lot for this era so no complaints here.

anyone remembers when she started rehearsing for S&S ? Should be the same schedule

Her band and choreographers started doing stuff together around May 27, 2008. Madonna was reportedly practicing with them by June 28. Rehearsals took place in NYC (Brooklyn).

So she started her own rehearsing 8 weeks before the tour kick-off. If she holds true to form, I suspect she'll start them around the beginning of July. This should give her plenty of time to shoot a video for "Ghosttown" and do any other promotion - maybe even shoot an additional video for "Devil Pray", if indeed that is the 3rd single.

She mentioned going to france in the summer , she may have a quick holiday there also so that would make the rehearsal starts earlier

Thank you for the info! Makes me very hopeful we'll have an extended promo saison.

According to the first few pages of this thread, a promo tour wouldn't be announced until a week before the actual show.

For Hard Candy they were VERY hard to get. I tried to get in with the Icon contest with no positive results so jumped in a plane and flew to NYC. Sleep outside the venue (there was a big amount of tickets to be given away in first come first serve basis) so got there a day before the show, in the morning with a sleeping bag and still found about 60 people ahead of me.

Made it. To this day, its one of the coolest experiences of my life.

Still hope she does a promo concert for Reber Heart.

BUT DON KNOW IF THAT S TRUE

There will be a special musical guest for the entire week starting on March 16th to the 20th on The Ellen DeGeneres Show by the one and only, #Madonna. It's rumored that Warner Bros. Studios (where the show is tapped in North Hollywood) is working with Live Nation to erect a special concert stage outside on the studio lot for the audience and fans to fully experience what Madonna is expecting to do for the Rebel Heart Tour!

Tickets for the show are already SOLD OUT but by next week, more is likely to be sold. Madonna is expected to be interviewed as well. So, set your DVR's and if your in Los Angeles that week,

The first and biggest TV channel in France (TF1) finally aired this evening their interview with Madonna (recorded at Sotheby's in January). There are small parts of the interview but the whole thing lasts 14 minutes with documents and other new interviews (Diplo, the directors of the LFL video, some specialists...).

Here's the video (of course it's in french, and her interview is dubbed  ) :

http://videos.tf1.fr/50-mn-inside/replay-50-mn-inside-le-mag-du-7-mars-2015-8575675.html

My summary (with bits of translations):

First part : they say they met her at Sotheby's, they talk about the leaks, the big promo for this era (and show Grammys footage). Then they interview a french PR agent who met Madonna in Paris in the late 70's. He says she had a huge sex drive and spend many nights in the clubs with her friends. Then they say sex and religion are her two main themes. Back to the Madonna interview, she says religion and sex are linked. "Sex is like a prayer, it's intimate, and also a way to connect with god. I don't understand why people try to separate these two".

Second part (4:00) : they say she worked with young collabs on the album. Madonna says she likes to try many things and to see what works. Then they show Diplo at the Fashion Week in Paris. They talk a bit about him and then Diplo is interviewed, he says Madonna works all day long and probably sleeps 4 hours a day. They talk a bit about raggea, and Diplo says "her son likes Unapologetic Bitch". Then back to the M interview, she says she didn't know it would be so frustrating to work with him, he's only available a few days every months.

Third part (after 7:20) : they say Madonna worked with the french directors J.A.C.K. (Camille Hirigoyen et Julien Choquart) for the LFL video. They interview them, they say how Guy O. contacted them, how they submitted some ideas and got the job and went to New York (it's probably a mistake but the journalist says the whole matador idea was theirs...). They talk about the wires they used in the video. End of this interview, they show the Brits fall but they say it was a lesson to the young pop stars and that she doesn't want to give up her crown.

Last part (after 11:10) : they say Madonna has always been a huge performer. Already in the 80's, her first show in France (Parc de Sceaux) was an event, with VIP and a crowd of 130,000. Interview of a music journalist, he says he never saw a bigger show, "she was bigger than Michael Jackson". Then they show the MDNA tour and say the MDNA album sales were quite disappointing (2M) but she's smart and she knows the money is in the tour now that the record industry is falling, her last tour was #1 of all artists in the world. They talk about her upcoming Rebel Heart Tour. Last part of the interview with Madonna about performing : "I feel everything. I feel invincible, vulnerable, like a superhero, like I'm gonna fall apart. I feel every extreme thing you can imagine". Then Madonna and the journalist drink tequila together (that's new!) and THE END.

---

There are a few mistakes (like "in the 80's, when she was still called Louise Ciccone" :lmao: ) but overall, it's a good job. Well documented and really positive! They call her the queen of pop and mentionned the 300m records sold! It's good promo on the biggest TV channel in France (and this show has 3.5m viewers).
