The first single is Living For Love. There's no back tracking from that even if they wanted to.

I agree. Rebel Heart was automatically loved by everyone. Living For Love got a mixed reaction: lots of love by some, but lukewarm to others.

LFL Is a great song, yes a grower, but still good as first single.

As with any music, not everyone will love it, not everyone will hate.

What better way to start a new album than with a great catchy song & then blowing everyone away with an even better 2nd single, to show improvement & knock the knockers 'so to speak'.

It's to late to change first single... but I personally think she should have gone with "Rebel Heart" as the first single... amazing song that fits Madonna so well
