Michael.
I have to say, in the context of the whole album, the track is pretty good. I definitely needed to warm up to it. With the video and Grammy performance I feel like it could possibly be a big track for her. She just needs to go out there and sell it with promo! Or my radio request alter ego has done it Should I do this list daily? And is it enough to but name, gender and age? And what should I write in the song if it's not listed, is Madonna - Living for Love good or should it be just Living for Love? (I know this requesting might be a bit juvenile or something, but I find it relaxing and every little bit helps I suppose)
Django
US radios as just pure SHIT. It should be illegal what they do. mtzlplk
This so far is not getting major attention from other stations around the country. I demand a week long radio deal payola like GMAYL got! It's a shame really... i mean, here you have a song very much worthy of the one week push and they didnt do it... they better think again about doing this promo if they have GHOSTTOWN as their 2nd single... they better start planning another epic video for this already... i am hoping for storyline vids like Bad Girl, Oh Father or Take A Bow
Katypatra
107.5 The River in Nashville plays annoying shit on repeat for years!!! They really overplay some songs to the point people start hating those songs. Yet they wont play Madonna's new single. Wtf?? I just requested LFL today. If they don't play it, I'll call them and request it on air!
Cesky
I really don't think this can be blamed on Interscope. Big radio deals really aren't a thing anymore. They were trendy for a short period of time from around 2011 to 2013 Madonna delivered a great song, video, and performance. Given the leak, I think the timing was rolled out pretty well. Radio just aren't picking up on the song. Unfortunately, Madonna is perceived as old and not 'cool' by pop radio's target demo. That's it really. Interscope can't magically change that. Make online deals and contests to get it popular there. License songs out for video games, TV shows and movies. Perform on popular shows. Strike social media. So far, her social media game is on point this era. Madonna may be old, but U know what's even older, and really isn't keeping up with the times? Fucking radio! Radio is very old school and pretty much dying. I mean I haven't actually listened to the radio since around 2007. I think Madonna and her team are engaging with new media pretty well. Her Facebook and Instagram activity is frequent and fun, and followers have gone up quickly in the past few months. The snapchat video deal may have taken some vevo views (and as a result, chart points) away, but it made headlines all around the web and was generally received as innovative. It seems like she has numerous things lined up for the rest of this month and into March. It's just my hope that she keeps on releasing singles/videos even if they're not 'hits.' Lana Del Rey and Born to Die is a great example. In the US, that remix of Summertime Sadness was her only chart hit, and yet she released like six videos, kept the buzz going, and sold a shit ton of albums. I agree and in fact this time the relase hasn't been aimed to radio, but to focus on Madonna's status. The video, the Grammys... of course it would be great if radio were on their knees, but to be fair the release is like a big momentum in music. This is true. Radio is very old school and pretty much dying. I mean I haven't actually listened to the radio since around 2007. I think Madonna and her team are engaging with new media pretty well. I don't think it's dying, but i do think that Madonna isn't focusing on radio this time. In fact, i guess that's why she was doubting between LFL and UB (if that info was accurate) as first single, because she knew that it was all about the video and performances and hype, much more than radio stations playing it. And without radio in mind UB was a great song to present a rebellious Madonna, and that's how she's feeling right now: rebellious.
rocknrolla
It would have been a bold choice. Both for the lyrics and the fact that she was doing a reggae song. It would have been similar to choosing LAV and Erotica as lead singles.

Guest Madomination
Actually, radio stations that played "oldies" still play her "old stuff". It is the stations that play the current hits that kind of have a hands off policy to her. She started the 2000s with a simultaneous number one song AND album and her Bond song was the first to hit top 10 since A View to A Kill and a year later she is persona non grata to radio? I have to say this all happened because of the abomination that was American Life... That mess derailed her for radio for all eternity....
