Rebel Heart Reviews

"If you were one of the few who has listened to the tracks illegally released online, then discount what you’ve heard"

"2 WASH ALL OVER ME
An incredibly powerful and pretty emotionally traumatic song ends the main version of the album, with an intense church-like organ overlaid with modern house beats"
So, it looks we may have some (nice) surprises with the final lineup

my hopes for a surprise now, go for rebel heart first leaked demo...moreover, that this reviewer has considered this track as the standout out of the full pack...+ I personally feel that the initial version has that special anthem feeling that is missing in the most recent leak, just enough to potentially miss the spot of being the standout out of such amazing material :tigger:

Can it be true?

The reviewer could be referring to the change between the demos to the album version but I'm keeping my fingers crossed that we'll be in for a surprise.

Hmm, yeh that's a point..Dan Wooton is a notorious idiot, so we'll just have to wait.

But still, church organs? :nervous:

By church organs he probably meant the bass guitar, if he is an idiot. Lol But I don't know what to take from this to be honest. If WAOM really IS different from the "final album leak", then I'm assuming other songs could be different as well. It is possible to be true because some songs feel like they were edited to fit in with the timing shown on iTunes. Especially Best Night. It just ends abruptly. And VVV starts out weird, like there was something cut out.

This is a very good point. And the volume is different on a lot of the tracks

Well, according to wikipedia, the length of VVV and Best Night are 4:39 and 3:33 repectively, and the leaked versions have 1 second more. Maybe you have a point

Why The Guardian is always after Madonna ? The Telegraph i understand since it's a conservative paper but The Guardian is supposedly a progressive newspaper and they hate with a passion. The LFL review is not a review, it's just mean. I'm not sharing.

^ Many recent brutal attacks against M definitely come from the political left.

M is viewed by the them as an old privileged white woman who appropriates black culture. Her being an American success story who happens to be extremely wealthy is a big no no with their socialist journalists.

I read the Guardian as well, but they frustrate me with some of their coverage of M & how they apologize & sympathize with right wing Islam.

Are you serious? The Guardian is a very snobbish paper full of its own self importance. It thinks it's "high brow". My ex BF was an avid Guardian reader and was very hateful of M because of it.

I'm more surprised about the bile from the Independent recently.

I swear, not even serial killers get as much vitriol as M does by the British press. I really don't get it. It comes to something when her only salvation is the Sun.

3 stars out of 5 in the latest Q with a review by Dorian Lynsky. It basically says the Heart songs work really well, but the Rebel songs are hit and miss. Calls "S.E.X" silly and says there should be an inquiry into "Bitch I'm Madonna".

Damn, this ruined my high from the Sun review! But 3 stars is not bad. I had a feeling she could fall victim to critics praising the heart over the rebel.

We need a couple more stellar reviews to roll in! Keep them coming, people!
