2016 Presidential Election Thread

Who isn't a fucking hypocrite in American politics? I mean, really? How is she ANY different from Obama? Yet everyone LOVES him and praises him endlessly and calls her a "Wall Street whore" when Obama is literally no different. It's sexism. I'm sorry, but it is. It's SUCH a disappointment that it's still such a huge issue in our society. It's no different than what Madonna faces in the music industry.

I don't love Obama and never have. I voted for him twice because he was the lesser of two evils. Obama is a corrupt politician, too, and a Wall Street whore, like most politicians. Let's not forget that he is trying to pass the middle class destroying TPP as well. Even Hillary flip-flopped and has since come out against it, fortunately. I don't like Hillary because I don't trust her, just like I don't trust most politicians. She's no different. Now I can't speak for everyone, but I vote on the issues, not on gender or race.

You're clearly a racist.

Do you seriously think Bernie Sanders is a SUPER liberal?

In America, he is. Single-payer health care, free college, raising taxes on the rich AND the middle class - those pretty much qualify him in this country. In Scandinavia, he'd probably be a moderate. What constitutes super liberal in America to you?

The big challenge with Sanders is the philosophy of expanding the size, power and influence of government radically while at the same time reducing corporate influence and corruption. It may work to some extent in Scandinavia because there is already much better governance and more transparency in the private and public sector probably for cultural reasons. But it would go over like a massive catastrophe in the US. The president may mean well and be honest and trustworthy at heart but that doesn't translate to being trusted to act effectively to reduce the grip of special interests at all levels of government. More layers of bureaucracy between the people and the service is only going to mean more loopholes for the bad guys to find a way around. The only way to decrease influence on government is to give corporations and lobbyists less government to influence. Of course none of the candidates are actually proposing specifics on downsizing government and even if they were it is very unlikely they realize the full depth of the problem and have a real plan for taking it down a notch or two. :(

Just because some Americans think he's super liberal doesn't make it true. These same people think Obama is a muslim who wasn't born in the U.S.

I think you need to find out what MOST Americans believe is super liberal first. Of course there are people who believe Obama is a Muslim, but I was asking WHAT YOU think constitutes a super liberal person in American standards? It wasn't an attack, it was a legitimate question to you.

Yes, I know exactly what most Americans believe is super liberal, and it's embarrassing. They're so misinformed. They think basic rights are super liberal. And this is because Republicans have spent the past 20 - 30 years forcing the entire country WAY to the right, and no back bone having Democrats like Hillary Clinton compromising EVERYTHING because they'd do whatever it takes to win elections.

Tell us more about it!

Is there any evidence that Hillary killed J.F.K. too?

Political drama at its finest...
The FBI is ready to indict Hillary Clinton and if its recommendation isn't followed by the U.S. attorney general, the agency's investigators plan to blow the whistle and go public with their findings, former U.S. House Majority leader Tom DeLay tells Newsmax TV.

"I have friends that are in the FBI and they tell me they're ready to indict," DeLay said Monday on "The Steve Malzberg Show."

Uhm, this is not exactly a reputable news source to be citing. "Friends" of Mr. Delay at the FBI? This guy was indicted for criminal campaign contributions in 2002. Also, this news show he is appearing on is hosted by a conservative friend of his. This is not NY Times quality journalism. I will fear for the indictment of Hillary when it actually happens.

You freely admit that most Americans do believe that. This is what I am talking about. THESE are the people that are voting. THESE are the people that have to be convinced that a socialist would be a good president and 58% of America thinks socialism is inherently bad. Not encouraging numbers when you're trying to win an election.

Hillary has not compromised on everything, you're so dramatic. If you compare her and Bernie's Senate records, she voted the same as him 93% of the time. So how is that compromising on EVERYTHING?

I'm not holding my breath either. It is irrelevant to me whether she is prosecuted as long as Democratic primary goers are aware they in choosing her they are indeed voting for a criminal who decided when she took the job as Secretary of State that she was above the law. But the FBI has also been leaking like a sieve lately and some of that could be an attempt to apply pressure on the agency. Hillary and friends have been doing damage control as a counter. I have no doubt the details of the Clinton's criminal acts will be made public if Lynch stonewalls. Comey will see to it. Look for someone to write an expose if it hasn't already been written.. :)

This is exhausting....Hillary is NOT under a criminal investigation. The FBI has even said that. They have indicated it is an investigation into whether the private email servers that were installed by Hillary Clinton and her predecessors Colin Powell and Condoleezza Rice were more secure than the official email server at the State Department. This requires examining the servers in question, which is why all three Secretaries of State were asked to provide their servers for testing. Thus far only Clinton has obliged.

It started out fact finding but there have certainly been incriminating and smoking gun leaks since November or so when Tom Fuentes, former assistant director of the FBI. made these comments “When you have this amount of resources going into it …. I think it’s at the investigative level.”

There's nothing criminal in seeking money from all around the world to fund programs that fight AIDS or Climate Change. The Clinton Foundation is doing concrete things with concrete results, Hillary has nothing to be ashamed of concerning this Foundation. Republicans can fuck off with their lies.

A smoking gun leak would mean Clinton would immediately be under criminal indictment. That's what a smoking gun is. This is bombastic, overly dramatic journalism at its worst. I can't even take it seriously.

If a full-fledged investigation of Hillary Clinton happens, then I will worry. I just haven't seen reason to do so yet. And websites like this don't concern me.
