It's rather IRONIC that you made this thread, because I just posted this in the album ranking thread.

I'm glad the song could help you (and others apparently) in your journey to self-discovery, but for me it's just a matter of being apathetic to the song. Whoopie and Isaac can't seem to understand that. :rotfl: I understand what it's going for and it's still a good song, but I don't connect to it on that level.

Get Together is to me as Deeper and Deeper is to y'all. Hell, even Give It 2 Me had that power.

But to answer the questions specifically...

I'm gonna be OK

I don't care what the people say

I'm gonna be alright

Gonna live fast and I'm gonna live right

I'm moving fast can you follow my track?

I'm moving fast and I like it like that

I do ten things all at once

And if you have a problem

I DON'T GIVE A...

So many. Where do I start?...

Probably with Power of Goodbye. Most of our lives are spent saying goodbye to either something or someone. I know mine is. As many times as I've done it, it never gets easier. So, now that I'm older, I try to do it with as much grace as I can.

"Pain is a warning that something's wrong". Never was a truer statement spoken.

Other songs: Gone, X-static Process and Push.

Deeper and Deeper, Gone, Jump, Give it 2 Me, Drowned World, Sanctuary, and Turn Up The Radio are songs I can connect with for various reasons.

But specifically, I always go back to Nothing Really Matters. It's my jam, my song of life.

When I'm happy, it makes me more livelier.

When I'm down, it picks me up.

When things aren't looking too good, it clears everything up.

I Deserve It (Will be my song to the future love of my life whoever that may be)

Jump (Ray of Light was going to be my song to jump to when I go skydiving but have decided this is more fitting )

I am sure there are tons more of course.

There are so many but I think this sums it up. Obviously the more upbeat songs I didn't mention have an important place in my heart but these songs mean a lot to me too.

Live to tell

Promise to try

Keep it together

Something to Remember

Why's it so Hard

Secret

Drowned World

Ray of Light

Nothing Really Matters

The Power of Goodbye

I Deserve It

Paradise

Gone

Nothing Fails

XStatic Process

Easy Ride

Fighting Spirit

History

Triggering Your Senses

Keep The Trance

Set the Right

Has to Be

Gone gone gone

Revenge

Get Up

This Used to Be My Playground

I'll Remember

The Look of Love

BGO was really tailor-made for me:

Say what you like.

Do what you feel.

You know exactly who you are.

The time is right now.

You've got to decide.

Stand in the back

Or be the star.

*struts triumphantly*

Into the Groove - the most perfect pop song ever and totally captures the euphoria and thrill of music and dancing.

Gone. It can be perceived in many different ways. When I'm sad I listen to it.

Power of goodbye also. And her cover of I want you is so heartfelt, it got me through a couple of crushes

At the moment, the song I really connect to is Like a Virgin - MDNA tour.

In general, Substitute for Love will always be my favorite Madonna song. It takes me somewhere, always.

I said X-Static Process and Gone but how can I forget Secret, Live to Tell, Waiting, I Want You and Mer Girl. I always change the mother who haunts me to father.

When I was very young

Nothing really mattered to me

But making myself happy

I was the only one

Now that I am grown

Everything's changed

I'll never be the same

Because of you

[Chorus:]

Nothing really matters

Love is all we need

Everything I give you

All comes back to...ME

Looking at my life

It's very clear to me

I lived so selfishly

I was the only one

I realize

That nobody wins

Something is ending

And something begins

[chorus, repeat]

Nothing takes the past away

Like the future

Nothing makes the darkness go

Like the light

You're shelter from the storm

Give me comfort in your arms

[chorus, repeat and fade]

Today is the last day that I'm using words

They've gone out, lost their meaning

Don't function anymore

Let's, let's, let's get unconscious honey

Let's get unconscious honey

Today is the last day that I'm using words

They've gone out, lost their meaning

Don't function anymore

Traveling, leaving logic and reason

Traveling, to the arms of unconsciousness

Traveling, leaving logic and reason

Traveling, to the arms of unconsciousness

[Chorus:]

Let's get unconscious honey

Let's get unconscious

Let's get unconscious honey

Let's get unconscious

Words are useless, especically sentences

They don't stand for anything

How could they explain how I feel

Traveling, traveling, I'm traveling

Traveling, traveling, leaving logic and reason

Traveling, traveling, I'm gonna relax

Traveling, traveling, in the arms of unconsciousness

[chorus]

And inside we're all still wet

Longing and yearning

How can I explain how I feel?

[chorus]

Traveling, traveling [repeat twice]

Traveling, traveling, in the arms of unconsciousness

And all that you've ever learned

Try to forget

I'll never explain again

Ooooh, this is tough. Probably any number of tracks from Like A Prayer. Maybe "Promise to Try" the most.
