Madonna To Present At The Sound Of Change Live Concert

It was a great speech and it's good to see her so genuinely passionate about this issue. No other pop star has her level of conviction when it comes to the important stuff.

I liked her simple outfit which was very appropriate for the event, but as has already been noted, I don't think her face looked great. I also think that that Zsa Zsa Gabor hair style doesn't help - it's too severe and exposiing of the treatments (filler/facelift/botox etc)

yeah something was so off about the makeup or the daylight wasnt kind to her.. red lips & hair loose and her black cap on and she'd have easily looked much better as well. just yesterday in those paparazzi pics she looked so great!

Finally home! OMG What a day! First off Madonnas speech was AMAZING!!!! I love her even more than I ever thought I could, she is one ballsy woman! Such an inspiration. I wish she had a pivotal role organising the show, and wouldve performed but ah well!

First off...the concert was BORING! Madonna and Beyonce were the only good parts! 95%+ of the audience were there to see Beyonce, so during everyone elses performances the crowd were just dead. Literally! Plus the sound was SHOCKING! ABSOLUTELY SHOCKING! Some of the acts like Florence & the Machine sounded like they didnt even do a soundcheck, it kept on dipping.

Met some lovely people. Including some lovely Swedish Beyonce fans that allowed me to use on their phones to go on the web cos I was so bored.

Nearly got into a fight! hahaha! When we got there (we were late) I was speaking to one of the officials and asked him what time Madonna was due on, he said he'd check the program for me, so whilst he was checking, these group of Beyonce fans kitted head to toe in Mrs Carter Show Merchandise looking a hot mess started shouting. One girl who was literally the leader of the pack was swearing and shouting, so the official asked her whats going on. She started going on that she never bought tickets to this mess and she thought it was a Beyonce concert blah blah blah. So the guy explained to her what the show was about. Some other girls came up to him complaining aswell. So one of them said to the man "You better watch out cos the Beyhive stings" when she said that I burst out laughing. So I asked her if shes serious? Like I couldn't believe that people actually spoke like that in real life, I thought it was just for Twitter! Then she started shouting at me. Now everyone knows I can be mouthy myself but I kept quiet as Chime for Change is about educating women and these girls were just ridic!!!!!

All in all Madonna and Beyonce were the highlights of my day! I fell over when Bey started singing Survivor, hope I'm not on TV screaming or they show me crying when Madonna came out! I wish they had different performers, the acts are the SAME acts that have done ALL the festival circuits Jessie J, Rita Ora, Florence, Ellie Goulding ENOUGH ALREADY!

Anyway I have to communicate via sign language as my voice is now GONE and I think I broke a hip bone during Crazy In Love!

:tigger: :tigger: :tigger:

OMG I forgot to put that these girls near me said they bet Madonna is gonna join Beyonce onstage and theyre gonna kiss. The other one said nah she wont, she only kissed Britney cos they did a song together, the other one replied, nah she will, Madonnas a lesbian you know, she likes black women, I've seen a pic of Naomi Campbell going down on her!

I love Beyonce fans,...so fuckin clueless!

:popcorn2:

Btw, I didn't know that Beyoncé was artistic director of the concert..

Nice of her to give her time and fly over for a good cause, especially since she has been doing this kind of thing for years before Beyonce got involved.

As people have said, her face doesn't look good or natural in the broad daylight, and it's hard not to notice. I think we just have to accept that the perfect 2005/6/7 face isn't ever coming back.

It all seems like a great cause and I entirely agree that every person in this world should be entitled to education but if M is so pro-equal opportunities, why so much emphasis on female education...what about the poor little boys all over the world who are deprived of basic education? I understand that female educators in certain countries are being shot at, having acid thrown in their faces etc but let's not lose track of the fact that we want education for all - not just one gender.

I agree and I'm glad that in the second part of her speech she mentioned that education is a basic human right - "regardless of race, religion or gender".

No one's saying that 'boys don't matter', or aren't deprived of education but the issue is that girls are at a huge disadvantage when compared to their male counterparts and that's what Madonna and Chime for Change is attempting to redress.

I dont see why everyone is complaining about her look! She looks like she did in Live 8 in 2005 just slightly older and with less make up.

Madonna wants to start a 'revolution of love'

Madonna called on fans to start a ''revolution of love'' at the Sound of Change concert.

The 'Hung Up' hitmaker was one of the A-list stars to lend her support to the charity gig - which was organised by fashion house Gucci's Chime for Change female empowerment campaign - at London's Twickenham Stadium today (01.06.13) and urged people to join her in changing the world through education.

The 54-year-old star took the stage, saying: ''I keep telling people I want to start a revolution, but my revolution doesn't involve bloodshed and violence. My revolution starts with education. My revolution is about achieving a higher level of consciousness, but this cannot start without education.

''We cannot change this world, nor begin to treat each other with human dignity, without an education. Let tonight be the beginning of this revolution because education is not a luxury, it is a basic human right.

''I invite you all to join my revolution of love. Join me tonight. The revolution of love starts here.''

She was campaigning for female empowerment across the globe at the 2013 Sound Of Change concert.

But fans seemed more fixated on Madonna's 'swollen' face as she took to the stage at London's Twickenham Stadium on Saturday night.

Within moments of the 54-year-old musician appearing in front of a crowd of thousands, audience members took to Twitter to slam her somewhat puffy-faced look as she presented a segment of the charity gig.

Speculation: Fans took to Twitter on Saturday night to comment on Madonna's 'swollen' face as she appeared on stage at the Sound Of Change concert

And the Material Girl hitmaker's look was all the more obvious thanks to her conservative ensemble, which saw her cover up from head to toe in a black high-necked sweater and matching trousers.

Wearing her honey blonde locks pulled back from her face, the music legend's facial features were clear to see.

One fan wrote on Twitter: 'Madonna, please stop messing with your face. It used to be a lovely face and now it's looking weird.'

Another added: 'Omg Madonna WTF her face is swollen!'

Madonna has previously insisted she hasn't undergone any cosmetic procedures, but would not rule it out in the future.

Queen Bey: Beyonce headlined the star-studded gig, which was part of Gucci's new global campaign for girls' and women's empowerment

The charity has put on the concert in conjunction with the Chime For Change initiative, which aims to raise awareness of education, health and justice for women everywhere.

Beyonce, Jennifer Lopez and Rita Ora were among the stars taking to the stage to perform for at the star-studded event, while the likes of Blake Lively, Jessica Chastain and Ryan Reynolds presented segments of the gig.

Madonna's French breakdancing boyfriend Brahim Zaibat stepped up on Saturday while the singer was away at a London concert.

Brahim took Madonna's children to Kabbalah services in New York City while the 54-year-old Material Girl went onstage at the 2013 Sound of Change concert at Twickenham Stadium to campaign for female empowerment.

The 25-year-old escorted her sons Rocco Ritchie, 12, and seven-year-old David Banda, to Kabbalah services along with her 16-year-old daughter Lourdes.

I think it's soooo offensive and dismissive that the media in the UK still calls Brahim her "boytoy" or "toyboy." I'm glad at least in this epigraph someone simply stated the facts and let people make their own judgement about them. I for one would LOVE to get to know more about how they make it work.

Also, Brahim must be the best lover ever by now. Imagine being at your prime and getting sexy lessons from Madge for almost three years!!!!

Her face was puffy but to be fair she had bags under her eyes, shes prob just tired. The bright light was not flattering, and as someone has said a red lip wouldve warmed her face so much and distracted from the harshness of the light!

Am I really the only one who don't see anything wrong with her face? She looks fine to me, just like at the Billboard awards, only with the difference that the daylight doesn't enhance the look of her face.
