Scavullo went on to photograph her her until 1990. he was the only photographer for Cosmopolitan magazine, this was for TIME. weekly news mag. it reached the business demographic. then. The attire and jewellery is what's wrong with this. The lighting is poor but her face, the brows, the eyes and even her hair are perfection. But the look really wasn't very Madonna. Way too over the top glamorous, like a starlet of an 80s mini-series. There was a (baseless) rumour that she would appear in Dynasty and this could've easily be a promo shot for that. The cover byline would've read 'How Alexis met her match'.
